Had some free time prior to this game starting, so some stuff I came up with below.

Last will recommendations:

Please keep track of what powers you voted via PM in your last wills. It may end up being useful later on in the game should you die.

Preliminary questions to contemplate and answer:

1. What do you all think of the Willow Tree?

a) Optimal powers for d1

b) Should we try to organize hidden (PM) power votes? Reveal them that day or reveal the previous day's vote as the game progresses? Keep in mind Willow Tree knows which powers won every night

2. Role list speculation?

a) Guesses as to the roles of the Bluecoats

b) Guesses on the mixture of the two neutrals - killer v evil v benign

c) Guesses on the number of citizens

d) Guesses on Town roles/matchups between town and bluecoat roles

3. Lynch day start

a) Anyone hell-bent on not lynching today or lynching today? Keep in mind possibilities of Jailor/Kidnapper

I have answers to these questions already, but I would like to see others' thoughts/want to wait a bit before posting them.

Things to point out:
a) Journalist is easily confirmable with no similar evil role. Would make a great target for Willow Tree powers.
b) Kidnapper and Jailor both get 1 execution

He will learn if they are Evil Neutral or a Bluecoat.

Town Role basically. Fills multiple roles, likely we don't have a Vigilante as he fills the killing spot. Pretty much invulnerable as unless he just flat out claims I doubt he will die any time soon...

We might not have an investigative due to the tree. Probably not a Jailor due to Willow Tree, and the Kidnapper could confuse us into thinking he is a legit Jailor since he is the only one jailing.

I'd expect Porio to be following that game as a reserve. Therefore I believe he would suspect that posting in pictures would not get him lynched, which is counterproductive to Jester.

I also see no reason not to organize hidden PM votes.

2. Sorry I don't do setup guesses - I prefer contingencies. I don't like getting stuck on an inaccurate theory. I think any valuable "discussion" that role list speculation generates can be generated better elsewhere.

3. I think we should lynch today. More votes, more information, more the Willow Tree can analyze to choose the best target to receive the power. I'm betting those power targets are going to make a big difference.

Ok well I was reading about it and a 2nd controlled lynch would be nice. On day 1 though it isn't the best since we don't know if there is a possible consort yet or kidnapper. Also town might already have a vigilante.
Also we don't know if there is a witch. I know they wouldn't know who got the gun, but it is best to know before we get the willow tree to hand out a gun. Also with the chance of it ending up in scum hands would be bad since it is only day 1.

If a witch makes the willow tree target itself and gives itself a vest would the vest prevent him from dying if visited by 2 evils?

Eagle is the only viable vote for this power things.
Bear is of minimal value to Town, but of slightly more value to a scum.
Wolf gives DETECTION IMMUNITY if it falls to scum. The less of that, especially if we increase the amount of investigation, the better.
Pack gives a kill. If this goes to any scum it is bad, and even if it goes to Town it can hurt us by mis-shootings. Mis-shootings that will definitely occur if we turn down information.

Anyone that votes otherwise is kind of an idiot or scum.

The good news is that Bear, being suck a generally worthless ability, likely confirms a Vigilante. A Town role that directly kills, and that scum might need to defend from with invulnerability.
TDL said he thinks we might not have an investigative role. I find this unlikely, but it is likely we have less than in some games. Probably only a single one.
The gun item might signify that there is not a Serial Killer.

My answers:
1a) Barring any information, Eagle is probably the best to give out. As game goes on: Depending on deceptive presence, Wolf would be useful for outed Detective/Sheriff/Investigator's. Bear/Pack would be nice for confirmed towns depending on how game is going. But that's all pretty obvious

1b) I'm leaning towards it's better to state out loud what you PM'ed for hidden power, so Willow Tree can see if there's a discrepancy with what powers are received. Not much gained from not stating it and letting Tree see this early in the game.

2a) Leaning towards presence of a kidnapper, 2KPN once is strong though. Bluecoats may send both non-madking to the same target each night to try to kill the Willow Tree barring better targets.

2b) Would be shocked if there was a serial killer. Doubt there's a electro/arson with a witch. Doubt there's a survivor

2c) 7 hidden town roles. 3-4 citizens sounds reasonable. I would not believe 5+ cit claims. I would not believe 5+ TPR claims.

2d) Doubt there's a town killing due to Willow Tree's presence. I'd guess 2 investigatives and a hard-protective (doc/bg), or escort and 1 of each investigative/protective

3a) I'm more favorable to lynching today, because I fear the presence of a kidnapper.

The only argument I've seen is that I'm overly aggressive or defensive. I'm perfectly fine being FoS'ed, but I would have seen my comments concerning Orpz and Mateo more as jests (no, I am not a jester), rather than as aggressive as you say.

I was legitamately wondering why all your posts only concern me, and one first thought that came to mind was "Executioner," so I voiced it. Is that a fair accusation? Maybe, maybe not. I would think it's useful because it forces scum into a position where it may be harder to false-claim a role later. There's also the fact that doing it before mafia chat opens makes it more difficult for them to pool their thoughts, which may be seen through a shift from d1 onwards on what roles they "expect." At least that's why I thought people do it in previous games where it occurred.

I disagree. You're saying it helps scum with setting up a false-claim (most likely of TPR). Any town that proposes a guesstimated list has only the knowledge of their own role, and I'm not sure why they'd be more likely to believe a claim that happened to be on that d1 list.

If everyone posted a guess at a role list, it may also show connections between mafia later, no? Considering they haven't had the ability to consolidate what they may false-claim etc. So when mafia start flipping, it may be possible to use those lists to add another factor of connection/coverup/suspicion.

Actually, thinking a bit more about this, I would buy Serial Killer attacking Mateo and Blues attacking Porio. Why did you place them that way? I can see the Vig -> Damus pretty easily
