End of the Status "Kuo"
No one who attended the forum of the previous day could call it eventless. Two bodies lay outside waiting for the Militia to decide who would be sent to the firing squad today. In the ensuing chaos generated by the multiple fire alarms, and not being able to determine the killers... the Militia was momentarily put off, delaying their decision till long into the afternoon.
As night approached, a majority was reached to send the silent Yolanda to the firing squad.
While she was tied to the wall and read her last rites... the Militia went to investigate the homes of Patrick and Faye, both viciously murdered today at the hands of Militia Extremists.
Surprisingly, Patrick's house was oddly feminine... with a lot of parallels drawn to the house of Yvette that was broken into a day before... a difference however, was found behind a painting on the wall. A stock of information on the Beast was there, and plans of the city's electricity system and how to bring it back online... And a note that simply read "Lucy... find Cole... he's our only hope". No one really believed it, but it made sense why "Patrick" always wore very baggy clothing... perfectly hiding an otherwise womanly physique. The Militia rejoiced in finding that one of their own had taken matters into their own hands and murdered a Freak in cold blood... Militia style.
Faye's house didn't even attempt to hide the fact he was a Freak. In the first wardrobe, the Militia found a Vermaak 88 standard battle suit. On the dresser in the next room was detailed anatomical books with marks in pages on the cardiovascular system... The notebook revealed detailed diagrams how to split limbs without leaving a trace of evidence behind, and step by step protocols in draining blood.
Bertrand looked at these results and pondered why he was even conducting this forum in the first place. It was apparent that the old Militia style of just shooting was making more progress than all of this political nonsense... But he remembered that he needed the support of the people if he wanted to bring Cole MacGrath to justice.
His original thought was about to be made even more prudent after the firing squad had ended Yolanda's life... the triggers were pulled long before a messenger brought back nothing of note from Yolanda's home apart from the fact she considered killing herself the night before but opted not to.
Alongside this, as the members of the forum began to leave, a driver lost control of his truck and it plowed into a wall... sandwiching William and killing him instantly.
No one bothered to visit his home, but it turns out he was a Citizen.
More blood was shed this day than any night prior... the first conduit blood among it. Their allies will not take this lightly.
No one is safe.
