So you want to return Spys ability to read PM's as well as make a mafia spy?

Pros-
A mafia spy would make a lot more sense with 2 mafias
Spy would not be an insta confirm role

Cons-
All mafia would just always expect there to be a spy and pm's / night chat would adapt quickly

Spy is already more common (at least I feel it is), so night chat has already adjusted slightly.

mafia/triad spy would also be nice for 2 faction games

Spy needs to role as a unique so there can only be one as well.

With the addition of a second mafia fraction, the spy is already buffed as he gets twice the intel.

Very good point.

1) the non-kills are less confirmed than before
2) With a mafia/triad team of two there is less need to communicate as there is virtually no need to discuss coordination most nights.
3) The standard 3maf and 2triad/2maf have the same number of non-kill visitors
