Going through D3, Yoshimo was very anti-Vic lynch and very pro-Mazzy, even though the train was swinging heavily towards Vic. On what night did you guys say she forced Skie to go? N2? Either it was a mistake or Yoshimo is very good blender. Nalia was vehemently anti-Mazzy. Branwen was pro-Mazzy for a while, but swapped to Vic. Not sure what this says about her alignment.

I did not want to be converted, and when no one listened, I chose to pretend a role that can't be converted to keep cultists away from me Day 2.

When I pretended to be Safana, this was to keep from being lynched. Truth is that there were too many lurkers not posting their proof, and we would have failed to find her, and even if we did find her, not much could have possibly been done. She would have been gone before you could do anything to her.

I am starting to believe that it wasn't a disguiser, and possibly was a shadow thief stealing clues and a bhaalspawn killing a puzzle solver to keep the sanctum closed (to keep immunity)

When confirmed town roles started being used to try and discern whether I was Safana or not, I revealed the truth. If I was cult, why would I not allow this to happen and sabotage a night of town actions, or even use it to my advantage to recruit someone who could go along with whatever I chose to claim?

Would also like to add, that I said from the start I was not confident in Safana's clue posting. I hav absolutely no proof about this, except that Vic and Safana's clues didn't match up. Guess what, Vic was a townie and Safana was a ??? who died to weapons. Maybe Safana did know what was up the night before she was killed and she was stopped by someone.

FM Jaheira I would trust Shar too, but she's arguably one of our most powerful PRs/WIFOM tools against the Cult and should not be risked in a puzzle. Harper Paragon can also Smite her once the Sanctum opens to prove if she's Culted or not, so keeping her alive has no risks, and many, many benefits. As such I would like Imoen, myself, or Kagain to go (I greatly prefer Imoen as she has been Townish all game. Unfortunately that means she is likely to be Culted, but I trust her over Kagain, and obviously I trust myself over Kagain as well.).

FM Dynaheir was very active and intelligent as a reserve player but has lurked since replacing in. FM Garrick accounts for FM Dynaheir's personality switch as being culted. FM Garrick notices that FM Jaheira and FM Montaron is in this puzzle chat so either one of them could still be the Prophet.

The half of the expedition that had ventured into the graveyard asked the ghost just about everything they could think of. The identities of the ghost and the man he buried were soon discovered, but how they ended up here was a bigger mystery. Many avenues were taken in their questioning, all of them leading to dead ends. Until finally the realisation dawned on them that the old Cult of Bhaal was a cult of Bhaal no more; they had turned to Cyric after he had slain the Lord of Murder, in a time when gods walked among mortals. The hidden temple of Cyric they had discovered must have been their new place of worship. And the burning of the library had caused the loss of much knowledge that had been valuable to the old cult.

Valygar, Faldorn and Khalid wrote down all of their findings that seemed relevant, and in doing so reconstructed the tale that described the events that would lead to the downfall and abandonment of the Eldercity to the best of their abilities. When they felt satisfied with the way the pieces of the puzzle fit together, Khalid stepped forward and told the ghost what he believed had transpired.

"Ammon found a tome in the library that revealed the true teachings of Bhaal. The tome also explained how to resurrect Bhaal. Ammon realized that Grobnar, the high priest, was a false member of the cult of Bhaal. In fact, Grobnar was a follower of Cyric, along with Sand. They both followed a God other than Bhaal. Grobnar was in fact an Avatar of Cyric. Thus, he sought to destroy the cult of Bhaal, and thus in doing so support Cyric.

Ammon revealed to Bishop what he had discovered. Bishop was worried Ammon would put himself in danger for this. Bishop also thought it was the right thing to do to report all of this to Grobnar. Bishop went to Grobnar and told him what Ammon had told him. Bishop additionally plead for Ammon's life. Grobnar promised Ammon's life would be safe, and also gave Bishop a reward of money for telling Grobnar. Grobnar locked Ammon in the library later and set a fire. This fire destroyed the tome with the information about Bhaal, and killed Ammon.

Sand later told Bishop of these events in the first of two conversations between Bishop and Sand alone. Bishop killed the other members of the cult after Sand told him what had transpired, specifically Qara, Elanee, Casavir, Neeshka, and Khelgar. These killing were done in-between two conversations with Sand, and were done by Bishop for their responsibility in the death of Ammon.

Bishop took Ammon's body along with a shovel, obsidian dagger, amulet, and the mirror to the graveyard. Bishop then buried Ammon in the graveyard using the shovel. Bishop wrote the inscription we saw onto the headstone. Bishop then cursed himself with the mirror, and stabbed himself in the heart with the dagger to commit suicide, along with slitting his throat. The cursing occurred due to the injuried caused by the dagger in addition to wielding the mirror. Bishop also buried the amulet in the graveyard in order to hide it. Bishop's last words were of regret and apologies to Ammon for what he had done. Bishop then became a ghost, as the result of cursing himself. Bishop hopes for atonement by helping us realize these events. Cursing oneself with the mirror causes one to become a ghost after death. The amulet was buried with Ammon."

The ghost stared at Khalid with its hollow expression, taking its time to consider whether or not this solution would suffice. A good minute passed, and the adventurers began to grow impatient. Khalid opened his mouth to speak again, but before he could utter anything at all, the ghost's answer came. "Yeeesss," it said, in a much more drawn-out manner than it had to any of the previous questions it was asked. If the ghost was relieved, it couldn't be read from his expression. Regardless, it began to fade away.

"Wait!" shouted Yeslick, "tell us what you know about the rituals!" But it was too late. The spirit was gone. Apparently, it didn't desire to linger any longer than necessary. The dwarf muttered some curses under his breath, clearly agitated that this had all been for nothing. Khalid on the other hand picked up the shovel and started to dig up the grave before them. It didn't take long before he struck a hard surface. As soon as the top of the stone coffin was uncovered, he lifted the lid with help from Yoshimo and took the amulet that lay at the feet of the skeletal remains inside. It was a golden chain inlaid with Emerald. At the bottom of the pendant, he found a piece of paper attached. Perhaps another clue.

We have scumhunted in our mentor/student chat. Our posts are just very short when we are both on. For the most part, Jaheira and I have been in the same chat. The night we weren't didn't have a long puzzle.

We also have a shit ton of posts in our night chats that are short. It reads like a conversation rather than a wall of words. Checking those posts to find the right one would take hours and derail scumhunting. That's why I am resisting.

The mind-boggling riddle before them made the adventurers feel uneasy. The questions they were supposed to answer looked simple at first glance, but there was a wide range of approaches that could be taken and it seemed as if many of the answers were interdependent.

There were heated discussions over what was and what wasn't possible, which assumptions were right and which were wrong. In the end, the group decided that Imoen would test the combination of answers she thought to be correct. After taking some final notes, she went upstairs to the guardhouse, stood over the table and took the knife that was stuck into its wooden surface. With the knife, she carved the letters that matched her theories into each of the squares.

But then, just when she thought she was safe, a cage shaped from bars of light formed around her, as if by magic. And Imoen was gone without a trace.

You never had a pre-replacement daychat read on me. Not to mention there are a number of obvious reasons to change your attitude between reserve and full-time player.

@Aerie? I think it was Aerie who mentioned my voting patterns. It's been said before but again, I did not come into the game until day 3. The abstaining votes prior are all due to the former FM Dynaheir being totally inactive. I still believe the Viconia train was the best decision given the information we had at the time. As for Anomen, well I know it's lazy to say "neutral lynch is better than no lynch," but I'm a pretty firm believer of "if you're not with us, you're against us." In retrospect, lynching Anomen was probably not the best decision, but the train was too well-established.

We establish that you have to use Vigenere cipher with a long phrase (at least 15 letters).

1) Shar-Teel posts a code (has to make a phrase of some sort).

2) Jaheira provides a key (has to make a phrase of some sort).

3) EVERYBODY can verify that you are telling the truth by decrypting your message with Jaheira's key.

Obviously code and key has to be not-so-easy to guess, or you will be suspicious.

It's funny that Shar-Teel and Jaheira are 100% sure that the Harper will confirm them. Let's say that the Harper fails the recruitment and that he is NOT the Mason Leader. Then what? We wait for him to recruit someone and then wait again until he decides that the situation is safe to tell us that Jaheira isn't actually an Explorer? How long would that take? Several nights atleast.

And what if the Harper decides against recruiting Jaheira? After all, the recruitment is nearly at the end of the OoO and a Bhaalspawn could be aiming for Jaheira already or the Cult would want to prevent the town from getting a new TPR (as Harpers win with the Town, essentially gaining town a TPR) and cult Jaheira, causing the Harper to ignore Jaheira as one of possible recruitment targets. Then we would never know until we lynch Jaheira.

I'm saying this because I believe that we don't have a ML. Setup meta tells me that it's an Agent. Would be the most logical conclusion to me.

One way would be to threaten to lynch Nalia if were not to contract a target of our choice.
The other and in my opinion much better option is to decide on the to-be-killed target. It gives Nalia the chance to fulfill her winning condition while we still have the killing target under control. If someone else were to die we can just ask Nalia to reveal her contractor and proceed from there.

Basically each letter in the key corresponds with the letter in the phrase. Each letter in the key is an offset of the letter in the phrase (e.g. a = 0, B = +1, C = +2) etc.

E.g. if our message is "ABC" and our key is "BAB" than our key essentialy means "+1, +0, +1". A+1,B+0,C+1 = BBD, and BBD is our encoded message. To decrypt it you have to reverse all the steps. Easy!:)

If you ask a cult buddy to confirm your words then we know the identity of two cultists. It is pro-town to reveal who you targeted.
