Here are my insights...


Prophet is the High Priest.
Prophet is a Bhaalspawn with the power of mind control.
It is using the cult for its own ends, intending to replace instead of resurrecting Bhaal.
Ammon tried to kill the Prophet but failed because he did not know that it was protected from death.
Bishop was converted by the Prophet and was sent to kill Ammon against his own will.
Bishop ambushed Ammon with fire, killing Ammon.
Bishop found out that the Prophet is in fact a Bhaalspawn.
He discovered the ritual required to weaken the Prophet and make it mortal again.
He managed to steal an obsidian dagger and a hand mirror with a frame of ivory from the Cult.
He went to Ammon's grave with the stolen items to seek for forgiveness and swore revenge.
Sensing betrayal, the Prophets' power on Bishop activated, forcing him to commit suicide.
Bishop's spirit cannot find peace, and wanders the graveyard, waiting for worthy champions to fulfill his final wish.

Hey Bhaal, if I convert this lurker, will he be modkilled later or he can remain as a puppet of the cult?

Not sure the odds of your checking this. But lurkers will be modkilled, regardless of alignment if no replacements are available at the time.
