Plight of the Street
The day seemed to last an eternity... would night ever come the members of the forum thought as accusation after accusation flew across the room. As the sun begin to fall from view however, a consensus was struck with over half of the forum voting to send "Yvette" to the firing squad. Quickly over voted with seemingly no one to stand at her defense.
She was seized by the militia guards at the entrance. Despite her struggling she was dragged out the front and tied to the wall of the building.
One of the masked riflemen asked her if she had any last words?
She responded "no, I said everything I wanted to say in day chat." and burned her last will.
With that, the line of 5 militia riflemen took aim...
The simultaneous bang echoed across the Ville, setting off dogs and causing birds to instinctively fly away in terror... Yvette's hands were released from their bonds and she fell into a crumpled heap on the ground... blood oozing from the wounds in her head. Her body was to be left there overnight... the Militia unwanting to waste time burying what they thought was a freak.
Some inquisitive members of the forum, however, visited Yvettes home. They found it tucked away in the Red Light district. IT became apparent why Yvette stood so alone in the forum; truth be told by the looks of her home she led a very lonesome life, strange sexual tools adorned the walls and a detailed journal of "clients"... A true woman of the street, it seemed as though she was struggling to make ends meet. Despite all this, there was no evidence Yvette was a freak at all.
With this new knowledge, the few members of the forum who visited Yvettes home, returned to the forum to collect her body and give it the burial it deserved as an upstanding member of New Marais. By the time it was done, it was an hour into the night and they knew it was not safe out here...
Though, one asks the question, is anyone safe in New Marais?
