I once posted my overall rankings for all the roles in a typical setup, but that was a long time ago. We have gained many new roles, seen different things play out in FMs that might change how we view roles, and so on. How do you rank the roles as you see them? You may choose to slice them up into settings (ex. Vigilante, Vigilante- limit 4, Vigilante- limit 3, Vigilante- limit 2, Vigilante- limit 1), or just list them as a general role. Whichever you do, however, please specify what version of the role you are using.

Whichever you would like. I tend to use power, but that isn't how everyone plays the game.

Framer is super powerful. When a Framer is successful it not only kills a town, but makes everyone question the detective role.
Although, a majority of Framer games that I play as, I probably succeed in framing like 1/10 pub games. Sometimes, people are easy to read. I think I sometimes over think the situation :( Either that, or lots of people click randomly.

The numbers correspond to their in game power.
Framer - 4 = why Framer when Beguiler?
Beguiler - 9 = Has so many possibilities. Very strong role.
Janitor - 5 = As useful as the lw and role he cleans. Automaticly tells town that a disguiser or a janitor is around. Not very strong
Disguiser - 10 = Extra kill and ID change? Surely the strongest killer in game.
Mafioso - 3 = the citizen of the mafia team.
Godfather - 6 = boring. Detection immune screws him almost as much over than it saves his ass.
Kidnapper - 10 = Extra kill and a night chat with his target. Very strong.
Agent - 8 = Lookout and detective in one role. Lulz. Let's the Consigliere look like a pleb.
Consigliere - 7 = solid role which can replace the gf and earns night immunity. It's better than the original gf.
Blackmailer - 6 = solid role
Consort - 5 = usually gets himself killed by the sk. Should leave no message when rbing ppl.
Arsonist - 6 = Mainly Luck based. If he decides to shut a town key player down he usually loses the game.
Serial Killer - 7 = solid stabbing.
Mass Murderer - 5 = boring.
Witch - 8 = interesting to play. Can do a lot of shit
Cultist - 4 = the citizen of the neutrals.
Witch Doctor - 5 = can be very strong or just a free loss.
Executioner - 4 = boring
Amnesiac - 4 = boring
Jester - 8 = too easy
Survivor - 3 = King of boredom
Mayor - 7 = autoconfirmed town
Marshall - 7 = ^
Mason Leader - 5 = Totaly setup dependant.
Crier - 7 = autoconfirmed town with a boring ability.
Veteran - 5 = luck based role.
Jailor - 10 = strongest town role
Vigilante - 7 = extra town kills.
Bodyguard - 6 = kills himself and the attacker isn't as strong as it looks like.
Escort - 6 = better than its counterpart by far.
Bus Driver - 8 = Can do lot of shit.
Doctor - 7 = boring but efficient.
Citizen - 5 = vest and tie breaker? K...
Mason - 4 = most boring town role there is.
Sheriff - 6 = boring but powerful
Investigator - 5 = weaker than a sheriff. has a mafia counterpart doesn't get scum/not scum feedback unlike sheriff.
Detective - 4 = weaker than lookout.
Lookout - 5 = can confirm a lot of people with 1 night action if he is lucky. Doesn't die to veterans.
Coroner - 4 = Can't remember the last time i saw one of them.
Spy - 7 = rare role which can autoconfirm itself thanks to PM on. Should trade positions with crier in Town power. Automaticly finds the whole scum team on Day 5.

Framer (immune to detection) 5 useful for mafia to cause chaos between the town, but rarely works.
Beguiler (hides 4times) 3 its meh/framing, and meh/survival
Janitor (cleans 2x) 5 useful for the maf team, but overall boring, and vets destroy janitors
Disguiser 4 boring just waiting doing nothing, and then performing an action once
Mafioso 1 worst role ever, but necessary for when GF dies
Godfather 7 all options on, important mafia killer, nice to be the boss
Kidnapper 8 OP, shame it only gets 1 kill
Agent (1 night between shadowings) lookout is useless for mafia, more important feedback is who the target goes too.
Consigliere (replaces GF, exact role). 8 important mafia member, very powerful and useful, easy to fake invest
Blackmailer (can not talk during trial) 4 uses are limited, because BMd sherff/invest can still spam vote a target. but great if you can prevent a mayor from revealing
Consort (detects block immune roles, cannot be roleblocked) 9 most important mafia member, can completely destroy a town.
Arsonist (ignores healing/immunity, night immunity, doesn't know doused) 3 just UP all around, has to pray a sheriff doesn't catch him
Serial Killer (kills RBers, night immunity) 7 solid neut killer, very fun to play
Mass Murderer (no nights between sprees, can target self, night immunity) 8 very OP and useful, its fun to play as.
Witch (vic doesn't know he was controlled, can cause self controls) 10 super fun to play as, my favorite role
Cultist (1 night between conversions, can not convert night immune roles) 3 its OP late game, but only if conversions are all successful, otherwise cult is UP
Witch Doctor (no nights between saves) 2 terrible to spawn alone, cult rarely wins if WD spawns alone
Executioner (jester on failure) 8 easy to win as
Amnesiac (new role revealed to town) 9 can swing anything and can be very meaningful
Jester (random guilty voter dies) 10 easiest role to win as, just a free win
Survivor (4 vests) 6 boring, people hate survivors and go out of their way to kill t hem
Mayor (vote of 3) 7 auto confirmed role, most OP thing out there
Marshall (2 group lynches, 2 lynchers per group lynch) 6 another auto confirmed town, usually works infavor of the scums.
Mason Leader (4 recruits) 4 meh, needed for cult saves, but useless alone.
Crier 4 just a UP role, so what if you are the only one heard, good mafia players read all text anyway. nothing special other than to confirm yourself easily.
Veteran (3 nights, ignore immunity) 6 can save the town, or destroy it in a single night, good swing capacity and a skilled vet can say the right things to provoke mafia to atking the vet.
Jailor (2 executions) 9 most OP town role, can also save the town. less harmful to town. needs to be able to read the roles list and check for impossible claims
Vigilante (2 shots) 5 worse than jailor kill because half the people you need to shoot are night immune, making it difficult to prove them as GF/NK without leaving a last will that you did shoot them.
Bodyguard (ignores immunity) 7, solid town role, -1 town, -1 badie, very good for town.
Escort (detects block immune roles, cannot be RB'd) 4 usually works in favor of mafia or NK, only good in 3 situations, find GF, find SK, or stop the last badie from killing
Bus Driver (can swap self) 7 solid townie, can save the town late game and swing a kill for the town.
Doctor (knows target was atkd, WD on conversion) 5 important and necessary for any town, nothing special tho.
Citizen (wins ties with the mafia, 1 vest) 6 important for any town to have at least one, so town can actually come from behind and win.
Mason (ML on promotion) 2 useless unless cult are in the room.
Sheriff (detects everything but arson) 7 important scum/not scum checker.
Investigator 6 another role checker, bit weaker than sheriff, but can find detection immune roles.
Detective (ignores detection immunity) 4 weakest of the investigative roles, only finds killers/non killers/cant do anything, very difficult to assign roles with without confronting your target.
Lookout (ignores detection immunity) 6 good for watching obv night 1 targets and finding killers easily, can also find who has been blackmailing red all game. etc
Coroner (everything) 3 useless without a janitor present ,but can find out a ton of info in a single night
Spy (sees all night targets) 3 really UP since they removed can read PM's
