Just curious. Because BG can just move around all the time, he can't be killed by MM without killing the MM too can he?

MM can be healed after dueling with BG. I believe Bg can also tries to protect MM who targeted self.

This can happen easily. The bodyguard will die to the mass murderer without fighting anytime where the mass murders target is not home.
However, this just happened I was wondering if you were asking specifically about that. I was the MM. #4 Killing the bodyguard at night. If this is the game you are referring to the reason is he didn't target anyone. I did not target myself. I targeted him.
Edit: Reviewed the replay possible bug text in red actually is not the case. I will have to see if this behavior is intended. Will post replay in a moment.

Scenario in question.
Bodyguard defends Mass Murderer.
Mass Murderer visits Bodyguard.
Result: Bodyguard dies to Mass Murderer
Expected Result: No deaths occur.

So Bodyguard is considered at home at all time? That is indeed weird.
If you get an answer to this, I'll add it to the Wiki (once it is up again).

I don't think hes home at all times. I think that's the bug.

Bodyguard visits the house of whoever the target he is defending visits.
BG -> MM.
MM -> BG.
So the BG will end up staying at his own house in this scenario.

Ok I get it now. So bodyguard visiting a MM is guaranteed death, just like an escort to a sk.

Yes, unless the MM targets himself.
Then they both die.

Does that mean mechanically the MM actually attack himself? So the bodyguard saves the MM from himself effectively killing him?

I don't have the answer to this, I'm only repeating what DR has said in the past. :smile:

Wow, now this is confusing. I thought MM in ths situation is exactly like Vet? When MM targets himself he doesn't have notification that he was attacked, so why BG kills him?
Damn, I really would like to have somewhere a big table with all possible interactions:P

Actually it doesnt matter who the MM visits, as long as it isn't himself.

heres how this works.
there are a few ways for a MM to kill a BG.
1) BG gets roleblocked and MM targets bg (BG and escort/consort die)
2) BG does nothing and MM targets the bg
3) MM is healed by doctor and MM targets anyone that the BG is protecting
4) bus driver swaps a BG into the MM target house (BD and BG will die along with anyone else in the house)
if the BG visits any house other than the MM, and the MM choses to spree anywhere that involves the BG's target, the MM will die.
in otherwords unless a roleblock, a doc heal, bus driver action, is in the mix in favor the MM, the MM will always die to BG action.
I also picture the bodyguard being with his target at all times. meaning whatever house the BGs target is at, will be where the BG ultimately is, so the MM goes to BG, and BG on MM would result in death for the BG. along with anyone else who visits the BG.
and the BG wont attack the MM
