Win Conditions:
Mafia: Eliminate the Savages and the Town.
Savages: Eliminate the Mafia and the Town.
Town: Eliminate the Mafia, Savages, and any Evil Neutrals.
Evil Neutral: Eliminate the Town and survive until the end of the game.
Amnesiac: Remember a role and adopt its win condition.
Corrupt Journalist: Eliminate the Town.
Executioner: See your target lynched.
Ghost: See the faction that killed you lose.
Jester: Get lynched during the day.
Student: Pick a mentor and adopt their win condition.
Survivor: Survive until the end of the game.

Mafia Role Cards:

Blackmailer
You are able send a player a message to blackmail that player to do your dirty work. The note you send must include a specific task bolded in red to complete during the day. You may not assign conditional tasks as blackmail (i.e. if you are a citizen, you must claim citizen in day chat, if you are doctor, you must claim doctor in day chat, etc.) If they do not complete your task within 2 days, they will suicide. You may only blackmail one person at a time.

The blackmailed target is not allowed to claim blackmailed, hint at it themselves, or hint that a player asking if they are blackmailed is on the right track. If all players are asked to claim blackmailed to find the blackmailed player that cannot claim blackmailed, the blackmailed player is requested to claim blackmailed so as to keep up the ruse of not being blackmailed. Blackmail will be lifted at the start of the night after you complete your task.

Claiming blackmail while blackmailed has the following penalities:
An alpha, beta, or gamma who claims blackmailed will become a delta.
A savage power role who claims blackmailed will become a savage.
A savage or delta who claims blackmailed will die.
An epsilon who claims blackmailed will become a jester.
Nothing happens to evil neutrals or a savage godfather who claims blackmailed.

Tasks can be a number of things. If you give a task that a person cannot complete due to role limitations, the player will not be required to suicide.

Examples of tasks:
-Claim false feedback during the day
-Claim a role during the day
-Say a certain phrase during the day
-Vote a certain player during the day


Consort
You may choose one player to role block each night. You are immune to role blocks.


Consigliere
You may choose one player to investigate each night. You will receive their investigation pairing.


Disguiser
Once during the game, you may successfully choose a player to disguise as. You will take control of their account, and their corpse will appear to be yours, cleaned in the graveyard.


Drug Dealer
You may drug a player with false feedback of your choice OR prevent a player from receiving their night feedback (actions still occur, the player is just not notified about what happened to them at night). The drug dealer cannot prevent a player from receiving feedback from his fellow mafia members.

-Fake roleblock / attacked and healed / bus drive / poison / recruitment to the cult / blacksmith materials received / dousing / witching / jester annoyance / student selected you as a mentor / discovered the interceptor / received Soma / any other possible night feedback
-Fake blackmail (On any given night, you must send the same note as a real blackmailer on your team)
-Fake role feedback (i.e. Your target is a Mafia Architect / Architect / Jailor / Devourer)


Framer
You may choose one player to frame. Your framing affects investigators, sheriffs, detectives, and lookouts. You may choose what results an investigator / sheriff / detective / lookout receives.


Godfather
You are the leader of the Soma Dealers. You are immune to detection by sheriffs, detectives, and lookouts. You may be sent to perform the mafia’s faction kill, or you may choose to send a minion to perform the kill in lieu of their regularly scheduled night action.

You have one auto-vest.


Graverobber
Each night you may either graverob a dead player and gain a single use of their ability, OR use one of your single use abilities. You may only rob each corpse once. You may not rob corpses that have been exhumed by a coroner.

Your ability does not work on any non-town or alpha roles.


Interceptor
You may trap one player each night and kill the first person to visit them. Any subsequent visitors will learn your identity. This kill occurs in addition to the mafia’s faction kill.


Janitor
You may clean the corpse of one player each night and clear their role from being revealed in the graveyard. You receive their role and last will. You have unlimited role usages.


Kidnapper
You may swap the positions of two players at night. You may swap yourself.


Mafia Architect
During the day, you may select two players to bring into an anonymous night chat. You will know their identities, but they will not know the identities of any other players in the night chat.


Poisoner
You may poison one player at night. If that player is not healed, they will die during the following night cycle. Players are informed of being poisoned. This kill occurs in addition to the mafia’s faction kill.

Savage Role Cards:

Godfather (Savage)
Each night, the savages may choose to -recruit one player of your choice to the savages OR -kill one player. You can only recruit disgruntled members of the lower class (gammas, deltas, and epsilons). The savage member size is capped at six players (including yourself).

You may choose to -recruit a player OR -recruit a player as [insert hidden gamma role]. You may not -recruit players as [insert hidden gamma roles] that are duplicates of hidden gamma roles currently in the cult.

If you -recruit a gamma, or delta, they retain their original role but gain the savage alignment.
If you -recruit an epsilon, they become a savage.
If you -recruit a delta as [insert hidden gamma role], they get a role upgrade to the hidden gamma role in addition to gaining the savage alignment.
If you -recruit a gamma or epsilon as [insert hidden gamma role], they will lose their role abilities and become savages.

Only the savage godfather may be sent to recruit, but any savage member may be sent to kill. Upon your death, half of the savages (rounded down) will die. You are not immune to detection by sheriffs / detectives / lookouts.

Savage
You are a member of the savages. You may be sent to perform your faction’s kill.


Coroner (Savage)
You are a member of the savages. You may be sent to perform your faction’s kill.
You may examine the corpse of any dead player to obtain their role and last will.


Detective (Savage)

Investigator (Savage)

During the day you may choose one person to interview at night. The interview will be published in the upcoming day’s post.


Lookout (Savage)
You are a member of the savages. You may be sent to perform your faction’s kill.
You may observe one player each night and learn the names of everyone who visited them.


Sheriff (Savage)
You are a member of the savages. You may be sent to perform your faction’s kill.
You can check a player each night and detect if they are a member of the mafia, an evil neutral, a savage, or not hostile (town or epsilon).

Town Role Cards:

Architect
You are a beta.
During the day, you may select two players to bring into an anonymous night chat. You will know their identities, but they will not know the identities of any other players in the night chat.


Blacksmith
You are a beta.
You may choose to hand out a single-use gun or a single-use vest each night.
A player may use a maximum of one blacksmith vest and one blacksmith gun on any given night.


Bodyguard
You are a beta.
Each night you may choose one person to protect. If that person is targeted to be killed, you will duel each and every attacker. If that person is targeted to be poisoned, doused, or culted, the effect will happen to you in their place.


Bus Driver
You are a beta.
You may swap the positions of two players at night. You may swap yourself.


Coroner
You are a gamma.
You may examine the corpse of any dead player to obtain their role and last will.


Delta
As a citizen of this Brave New World, you have the power of your voice and your vote.


Detective
You are a gamma.
You may follow one player at night and learn the person who they targeted.


Doctor
You are a beta.
Each night you may choose one person to heal. You can heal up to one attack, poison, arson burn, or culting.


Escort
You are a beta.
You may choose one player to role block each night. You are immune to role blocks.


Investigator
You are a gamma.
You may choose one player to investigate each night. You will receive their investigation pairing.


Jailor
You are a beta.
During the day you may choose one player to jail at night. Jailing grants you an anonymous night chat with your target. Jailing is a perfect role block, and grants your target night immunity unless you choose to execute them. You have unlimited executions. If witched, you are forced to execute your target. You may not jail after a lynch.


Journalist
You are a gamma.
During the day you may choose one person to interview at night. The interview will be published in the upcoming day’s post.


Lookout
You are a gamma.
You may observe one player each night and learn the names of everyone who visited them.


Mason Enforcer
You are an alpha.
Each night, you may pick one target to enforce. On the night they are enforced, a player cannot be converted to the savages.
You share a night chat with the Mason Clubber.


Mason Clubber
You are an alpha.
Each night, you may pick one target to club. If your target is a savage, you will bludgeon them to death. If they are anything else, your action will have no effect.
You share a night chat with the Mason Enforcer.


Mayor
You are an alpha.
During the day, you may reveal. When revealed, you have the voting power of four players.


Sheriff
You are a gamma.
You can check a player each night and detect if they are a member of the mafia, an evil neutral, a savage, or not hostile (town or epsilon).


Vigilante
You are a beta.
You may shoot one player at night. You have unlimited shots.


Veteran
You are a beta.
You may choose to go on alert at night, killing all players who visit you. You have unlimited alerts.

Evil Neutral Role Cards:

Arsonist
You may douse one player with gasoline each night.

During the day, you may choose to ignite all doused players by PM'ing the hosts at least 1 hour before day ends. Day ignition will not occur less than halfway into the regularly scheduled day. Other than this restriction, day ignition will occur as soon as the hosts see your PM'ed intentions that you wish to ignite.

Alternatively you may -burn all doused targets at night instead of dousing a target. If you ignite someone in an architect or mafia architect chat, the fire spreads and all invited members die (architect or mafia architect survives). Note that the architect or mafia architect is not immune to night burning, just in this particular instance, the fire will not spread to him.

If you target someone already doused, that person becomes undoused.

You have one auto-vest. You are immune to death by fire.


Devourer
During the day, you can choose a target to devour. You may chat anonymously with your victim at night. Devouring is a perfect role block, and your target is given night immunity unless you choose to kill them.

At the end of the night, you may choose to digest your victim (killing and cleaning their role), regurgitate your victim (releasing him), or bite his head off (jailor execution). You have unlimited kills, but are limited to two role cleanings.


Serial Killer
You may kill one player each night. You are immune to role-block.

You have one auto-vest.


Spree Killer
You may visit any home and kill everyone who visited that target that night. If your target has targeted someone else, they will not be at home.

You have one auto-vest.


Witch
You may choose a target at night and force them to perform their night action on a player of your choice. This action is able to redirect the passing of soma and the shooting of blacksmith guns.

If you target a jailor or devourer, they will be forced to execute their target.
If you target a bus driver, you will change the first player that they intend to swap to the target of your choice.

Epsilon role Cards:

Amnesiac
You may remember the role of any player in the graveyard and adopt their win condition. You must remember a role to be eligible to win.
You cannot remember the role of the Soma Dealer Godfather, Savage Godfather, or Mayor.


Corrupt Journalist
During the day you may choose one person to interview at night. The interview will be published in the upcoming day’s post.


Executioner
You will be assigned a target who you must see lynched in order to win. Your target is always town. You do not need to survive until the end of the game to win.

If your target dies, you will be assigned a new town target who you must see lynched in order to win. If there are no possible town targets left, you will turn into a jester. You are not notified if your target is culted or disguised as; this is the one exception to the “executioner’s target is always town” rule.


Ghost
Upon death, you gain the ability to -posess a target of your choice and speak as your target for the rest of the game.

Your goal is to ensure that the player that kills you loses. You will be notified which faction your killer belongs to. In the event of a double kill, you must ensure all players who attacked you lose. In the event of a lynch, the faction of the player who hammers you is of the faction you must see lose.


Jester
You may choose to annoy a player at night. You must be lynched during the day to win.
Upon your lynch, you kill 1/4 of the players who voted you, rounding up.


Student
You may pick a mentor on any night and your goal will be to help your mentor win. You must pick a mentor in order to win. If your mentor dies, you will obtain their role abilities unless they are an epsilon. You and your mentor share a night chat.


Survivor
Survive until the end of the game in order to win. You have four manual-use vests.

Special Mechanics:
Soma:
Every even numbered night, all Alphas will be given Soma. On subsequent nights, anyone in possession of Soma may choose to -use Soma, giving them a second use of their role-specific night action, or -pass Soma to a player of their choice. Players possessing Soma may -use Soma OR -pass Soma on any night. You may not -use or -pass multiple hits of Soma on any night.

-use Soma grants the user of Soma a second use of their night action on that night. Mayors and Deltas are not affected.

Pertinent Rulings:
Soma does not allow for a second usage of one received blacksmith material.

A non-godfather mafia member or non-godfather savage may not perform two faction kills while using Soma; a godfather or designated killing role may perform two faction kills while using Soma.

Jailors and Architects (Town or Mafia), when given soma, can -use Soma during the night to be able to have two separate chats on the following night. Example: Night 2, Jailor -use Soma. On Day 2, he can select two targets to jail, with separate chats.

Journalists and Corrupt journalists, when given soma, can -use Soma during the night to be able to -interview two players during the following day.

-pass Soma allows the current holder of the hit of Soma to send the Soma along with a message to a target of their choice. Passing Soma counts as a visit and as such can interact with the detective / lookout / spree killer / interceptor.

If a player dies while holding Soma, it is taken out of the game. Any hit of Soma expires on the 4th day after it has come into play.

Rules:
Rules:
1- Night action deadline
All Night actions must be PM’ed to the host at least 1 hour before night ends or they will not be accepted and your action will be skipped.

2- No outside of game discussion.
No PMs, no REP, no visitor msgs, no skype, etc. Not even with people not playing. Violators will be Modkilled. Editing posts is not allowed.

3- Lurking / AFK:
Players who fail to post or submit night actions will be warned and replaced at the discretion of the host. If you plan to be away or cannot post during a day, please PM the FM Game Master as to why.

4- Profiles
Invisible mode will be mandatory. You may not turn it off.

5- Lying about game/role mechanics:
Lying about game mechanics is allowed. Questions about the setup will not be responded to unless they are posted in green.

6- Modkills:
Will be replaced until the Reserve list is depleted, then it's death.

7- Names:
There shall be no claiming of one's players name (COM name for you older folk) nor any hunting for ones name. Violators will be modkilled. The no claiming of COM names rule also applies in nightchats.

8- Communication with the FM Game Master:
I enjoy conversations with others, getting to know what is going through their heads when they make certain decisions. If you make the wrong choice for all the right reasons, it will not penalize you for LVP for example. Our conversations will remain private.

9- Images, Videos, Links, Annoying Formatting, etc:
Images - Permitted as long as they don't break any other rules... including forum rules.
Videos - Autoplay on videos is not permitted. You may not upload videos to youtube as that would reveal your name.
Links - Links to a forum post are permitted, please ask FMGM for any other kind of link.
Marquee, spoiler, blackout and other BBcode - Permitted but please do not abuse & your votes may be void if the bbcode doesn't pick up your vote.
Invisible Ink - Permitted, but I hope you get lynched for using it.

You may not post a screen shot of the PM.

11- Codes and Encrypted Messages
Codes must be approved by the host before usage. Java, Unicode, Hex, Binary, or other languages are allowed, but again must be approved by the host, those will be accepted sparingly. Simple codes, (wordplay and start sentence with x) will usually be approved.

Game Mechanics:
1- Day and Night Length:
Most days and nights will be 48 hours long. Certain exceptions may occur. If forums go down, it will be at the hosts discretion if an extension is necessary. When the number of living players is 13 or lower, days and nights will switch to 24 hours each.

2- Lynching:
We will be using the [vote] tags. It will take a simple majority of players alive to lynch.

3- Game Starts:
Game will start with Night 1, n1 deaths will be added to the reserve list.

4- Modkills and replacements:
Forums names will be given for those that are modkilled to shame them. Other types of replacements will be at hosts discretion. Player names will not be given by host.

5- Deathnotes and Lastwills:
Deathnotes are allowed for Mafia, Savages, and Evil Neutrals only.
Last wills will not be revealed publicly on death, but can be salvaged by a Coroner.

Feedback Messages:
Feedback messages will be sent in a PM titled: "Night __ Feedback" or "Day __ Feedback"

Killed:

Your life has ended peacefully at the age of 60. You may now speak with your fellow dead friends post-mortem in the dead chat.

Auto-vest used:

What "class" are the mafia roles?
Can mafia be recruited?
Do mafia players receive Soma? Do neutrals? By this, I mean do they receive it automatically like Alphas?
Can a mason clubber, under the effects of Soma, kill more than one Savage?
Can you pass Soma in addition to using a regular night action?
Can savage godfather recruit twice?
The savage godfather's command set is intended to be guessing/gambling the target's role, correct?

Would it be game throw if a low level town support a savages rather than kill all of them in case red mafia faction may become dominion?

for example

2 unconfirmed masons
1 confirmed town
2 unconfirmed town
1 savage
3 red mafia

everyone choose to kill savage then town will likely lose.

Would it be acceptable to save savage in that case?

I'm not sure I fully understand your scenario, but make sure to always play to your win condition. More specifically, if during the game you feel compelled to ask if something is gamethrowing, PM the host to explain your situation.

There seems to be only 36 names but 45 confirmed in the signups.

There are 36 role slots in this setup. That means that out of the 45 signups, only 36 players will make it in during the beginning of the game, and the rest will be placed on reserve in case people need to be replaced. Running out of replacements and resorting to modkills has been a problem in the past, which is why we wanted to be particularly generous with the buffer of players to be replacements.

If we included all 45 players in the game, then it might become unbalanced due to modkills or players that need replacement due to personal reasons. For this reason, while we would like to include a starting slot for everyone who wishes to play, it ultimately is unfeasible. Hopefully this makes sense to everyone.

You’ve got to be kidding me. I’ve been further even more decided to use even go need to do look more as anyone can. Can you really be far even as decided half as much to use go wish for that? i haven't said it before, but now i will.

good job. i foretell a gr8 non lurkish game ahead of us... if only the reserves dont get too lazy... this will most certainly be a better game than some past ones, though

Night 1 will start May 8th, and Day 1 will start 24 hours after that. You will receive your roles approximately a week before that, maybe earlier or later.
