I'm not going anywhere for Christmas, and the game is too fast-paced for me to want that long of a break. However, I think that game should be paused for Chrismas Eve and Christmas Day. I'm not going to particularly want to read through pages of posts then.

The Mayan calander didn't take leap years into acount. If the Mayan calander was correct, the appolcalypse would have happend quite a while ago:P

Break as in all threads locked except graveyard, including night chats. If it is mid-day, day will be locked and re-opened after break.

This is false. Nothing about the end of the mayan long count has anything to do with our calander. The Mayan calander is based on mayan astronomy and it's end occurs, according to the stars, on or about the 21st. At which point the stars keep moving and the calander begins again. The date was figured against our modern calander as it stands, including leap years. There's no reason to believe that leap years were not taken into account when there was no counting involved, only correlated days.
