Just something random I thought about. I've gathered the 34 roles of Mafia, and I've branded each of them with an Arcana. Enjoy.

Amnesiac
He has no obligations, no memories, and no goals to speak of. He has nothing, and yet, he can obtain anything. He is the Fool's only face, and the final face of all Arcanas.

Bus Driver
He is one of great power, and is given the Magician's face. He may live as a barrier for others, or death's singular loop. It is ensured, that with his potential, any fate may be reverted.

Bodyguard
He is one of great power, and one of connections. For a single person, he will defeat their opposition. For his power, he pays the ultimate price, his own death. He is one of selfless needs, he is the High Priestess.

Doctor
She is the one who gives life to others. Her power gives her the power to save many, or save none. She is the Empress's true identity.

Mayor
He is one who holds power, and one who uses it. No matter who he is, all will follow and recognize him. He is a hand of the Emperor's Arcana.

Godfather
He is one who shares his ideal with some, but not the majority. With his influence, he attempts to spread his ideas, only to be rejected by mankind. He is the Hierophant, or the Pope, a spreader of ideas. He seeks to grow his influence, no matter what the cost may be.

Cultist
They are one of many, but they seek a single thing. Being among one who has chosen to follow another deity, they are the many who defy the natural order. Using cruel magics at their disposal, they care not about the well-being of others, only that they will grow and eventually, become dominant.

Mason
These two are those who follow and depend upon each other. They are those who live together and die alone. These two are of the greatest bond between mankind, and for that, these two are of the Lover's Arcana, an ever-lasting bond that lasts until death itself.

Sheriff
He is one of the Chariot, the Arcana of hard labor. He has chosen to forsaken his protection for the sake of others. With his power, he is one who will reveal all evils.

Detective
He is one who has risked his life for the many. He is one with the potential to see the truth. With his power, anything that happens could be averted. He is the Chariot, the Arcana of workers.

Mafioso
He may be nothing more than a dog, but even he knows his true purpose. He is one of the commoner's class, a killer of course, but also a Citizen. While he knows that may become one of the commons, he still believes his overall role. He is a worker for his faction, a member of the Chariot Arcana.

Escort
She is one of the underground, a protector of the peace, and a walker of crime. For her indecent actions, she knows that she will create an opportunity for others, and for that sacrifice, she is the face of Justice.

Vigilante
He is one of action, and a savior of others. He is one who has taken up the law for others, losing any potential chance of being given a normal life. For this sacrifice, he is given the Justice Arcana, an act of protecting others.

Spy
She holds the potential to defeat all, but her power also bites back. Given the talent of sound, she can hear everything, and anything, that may possibly happen. Her powers, however limited they are, are judged by her own thoughts and reflections. She is the face of the Hermit Arcana.

Lookout
She is one with great power, but she is bound by none other than chance. Her power allows her to find the identities of any killers, but only with lady-lucky, will she be successful. For this reliance on luck, she becomes the Wheel of Fortune.

Witch
She is one who must explore, in order to exploit her power. From her beginning to her death, all she does relies on luck's roll. Should she be lucky, she shall find the individual she requires. Following luck's draw, she belongs with the Wheel of Fortune.

Citizen
He is one of great power, contrary to his outward appearance. He is one of the Town, a simple townsman with no distinct features. However, these simple features are what give him his power. For you see, he has one secret. He is one of the common man, giving him much more power than anyone else. His lack of power is his hidden strength. For those who see an upcoming defeat, he is one who shall bring victory. Those who have been deceived will suffer great consequences for their lack of planning.

Mason Leader
He is one who has taken up arms, to defend all he loves and believes in. He is one who has sacrificed everything about himself in order to save any others with him. For his sacrifice, he has been given power. With his power, he is one who will smite evil. He is the Hanged Man, one of self-sacrifice, and one of strategy.

Disguiser
A man of the Death Arcana, he is one who has chosen to change himself. By forsaking his life, he has been reborn anew, with the identity of another. No matter how evil he is, few things can truly be explained with this man. As a bringer of death, and an adopter of rebirth, only time can tell, what is with this person?

Coroner
He is one who must wait, in order to be given his power. As a man of patience, he is given the Temperance Arcana. Should he survive his ordeal, his actions will be the ones to save many lives to come.

Serial Killer
He is one man within the many, and yet, he is the destroyer of lives. He has the power to save many, yet, he can only kill. He is a mindless murderer, one who cannot even realize his true potential. He is the Devil, one who hides his true gifts.

Investigator
She is a researcher, she is a scientist, and she is the brains of her allies. With her power, she can see the identities of others, but at a cost. Because of her incompetence, anything she finds becomes incomplete, like herself. Her logic and reasoning are limited only by her mind's mental limits. She is capable of much more, but she limits her own talent. She is the Devil, one who has suppressed their own talents.

Jester
He is one of the night, and one of the future. He is one of false hopes, and opposition. Should he be lynched by your hands, he will become your killer. With him dead, there may be no balance left to stand on.

Arsonist
She is one who believes in the freedom of all mankind. She seeks to give everyone the truly great life they seek, one without mortal bounds and corporeal forms. With her beliefs, however, she is also seen as a pyromaniac. However, like the great men of the bible, she only seeks to ascend humanity towards a great form. For this, she must baptize them in fire.

Consigliere
He is one who speaks only the truth to the masses. No matter what he may see, anything and everything he sees is absolute. However, his occupation forces him to lie in front of all others. He lives within the Star Arcana, existing as its opposite, and yet, its true form. He lies are no lies at all, appearing as the only words he wants the others to see.

Veteran
He is one of an shrouded mind. His life of the past torments his present, and for this, many will die by his hand. For this, he faces the Moon Arcana.

Janitor
He is one who hides the truth, and one who relinquishes others. He holds the power to cover anything from sight, destroying what words could exist. As a liar to others, he exists within the Moon Arcana.

Executioner
He is one of a lightened mind, and a simple life. Holding the potential of immortality, he cannot be killed. He seeks only one thing, and for that, he is given happiness. He is, in essence, the Sun itself, no matter how evil he may be.

Consort
She is one who has chosen to sell her body to others. Despite what they say, she has chosen the life-style she dearly wishes for. For what she has decided, she is gifted with the Sun Arcana. She has no problems with her life, and only wants others to respect her decision. She is fine and happy with her choices, and nothing will change that.

Mass Murderer
He is one of the many arts in the world. His own, in particular, is a unique one. For his actions, he is given happiness, and for that, he is given the Sun Arcana. No matter what others may say, he has been given the joy of a lifetime. Nothing else will change that.

Jailor
He is one who holds the power of absolute execution. His decision is one that may affect many at once. With his power, any life he holds must be treated dearly, otherwise his words are meaningless. With the possible outcomes of defeat resting on his shoulders, the Jailor holds the Arcana of Judgement, the art of decisions.

Framer
He is a man who disrupts verdicts, and a man who destroys all balances. He is an individual with the capability to ruin a man's life, and for his very own enjoyment. He is the opposite of Judgement, and yet, he exists within its aisles. He is one who may make any choice, but the wrong timing, could end his very life.

Survivor
He has no obligations, no goal, and no affinity for himself. He is the final path, and the final decision. He is the final choice, the last word. He is the end, and he is the World.

However i disagree with some of them

Please explain.

It's hard for a single person to dictate every single role's Arcana you know.

At the moment, the only three roles I'm confident with are the Citizen, Survivor, and Amnesiac.

These are the roles im conflicted with as well.

Move Jester to Fool, Survivor to Hermit, Amnesiac to Magician, Bus Driver to Chariot, Spy to Tower, Sheriff to Judgement

And the World Role..im not sure maybe Citizen

The Fool isn't literally a Fool, as these follow the Tarot Arcana.

The Fool indicates the number zero, and the value of unlimited. The Fool is both nothing, and everything at the same time. The Amnesiac fits this role, as he begins with nothing, but can become anyone and thus, anything.

The World indicates the end, and that is where the Survivor is the strongest. Nearing the ends of the game, he must make a choice, and choose a side. If not, the chaos is ensured.

I wanted to build a deck revolving around Arcana Force XXI (Niijou-Ichi, another reference to an awesome manga), didn't work out that well :(

I once tried combining an Arsonist and an Executioner. I made a Survivor.

I also tried combining a Mayor and a Doctor. I got an Amnesiac.

Meanwhile, a Hermit and a Spy gave me a Citizen.

+1 to anyone who can figure out the puzzle and reference.

Star + Sun = World
Emperor + Empress = Fool
Hermit = Spy so 2 Hermits equal a strength?

this is the best reference i could come up with

I hosted a forum mafia game based on the major arcana once. It was an interesting game. Here is what I made up for the roles:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fool_(Tarot_card)

You represent the beginning of journeys. Naive, foolhardy, and gullible, you have much to learn on the path of life, and will likely learn your lessons the hard way. But worry not, for although you will encounter enemies and suffer hardships, you will also have friends and guides to offer insight, advice, and comfort along the way. All you need is slung over your shoulder, all you want is in your hand, and all your drive is nipping at your heels. Whether you will notice the cliff in time or not is yet to be seen. Perhaps the experiences you gain from meeting your friends, guides, and enemies will help you avoid destruction.

You are the Fool: TOWN Kirby
Your goal is to kill all anti-town (Evil) players!

You may perform two actions each night.
•The first action is to select any other player and acquire an ability representative of his role. The ability you acquire isn't necessarily exactly the same as the one the person you select has...but it's always pretty close. Also note that you may do this to as many people as you want AND you may save the abilities you acquire for later if you so choose. But once you use an ability you acquire, it's gone forever and you cannot target the same person twice.
•The second action is to use one of the abilities you acquire. You can use at most one ability per night, but using an ability does not prevent you from acquiring an ability from someone else.
•Just to be clear, an example of your night actions might be:
Acquire ability from player x
Use ability y on player z

http://i.imgur.com/SRF0S.jpg?1
You have been reversed! Once a newcomer to life, you are now simply a wastrel. Enemies see no value in challenging you, guides prefer to not waste their time trying to help (save) you, and any friends you might have made are driven away by your disastrous existence. No longer is it possible for you to avoid falling to your death; with the card reversed, falling off the mountain has become an inescapable reality. What's more, you end up taking along anyone willing to get close to you.

Your power has changed. It is now the following:
Anyone who targets you gets roleblocked for the next night (though their actions on you are not nullified). People who waste their time on hopeless people often find themselves caught in quagmires difficult to escape.
Also, all your saved abilities are gone. What a cruel twist of fate.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Magician_(Tarot_card)

When folks come to you for guidance, you always have something to offer them. It's no surprise, really, because you have the intuition and the tools to be successful in adventure. With your left hand pointing down to the earth, your right hand holding a wand to the sky, and the lemniscate of infinity between the two, you represent the union of heaven and earth and the understanding of cycles and eternity. You are truly a master of adventure, indicated by the collection of items laid upon your desk (the coin representing earth, the cup water, the sword air, and the wand fire).

You are the Magician: MAFIA Jack of All Trades
Your goal is to kill all anti-mafia players!

You may perform one of the following one-use abilities each night.
http://i.imgur.com/xPcFp.jpg
Three of Coins
Coins represent earthly ambitions: wealth, property, career success. The three of coins is the card of investment, finding a good product, taking advantage of a situation before others find out about it. When you play this card, you may see who four people visit during the night. You get to choose your targets.
http://i.imgur.com/J5VzX.jpg
Five of Cups
Cups represent intense emotion such as love and sadness. The five of cups is the card of crying over spilled milk; the man focuses entirely on what he has lost, while never looking at what he still has. When you play this card, you may bring one person back to life for one day and night. After that, he will automatically be killed. The person you bring back cannot vote or do any night actions. No one else (not even the person you revive) will know anything except that he has been brought back to life.
http://i.imgur.com/F8y79.jpg
Seven of Wands
Wands represent passion and spirit. The seven of wands is the card of the underdog. Although the lone man is greatly outnumbered, he has the higher ground. When you play this card, choose one person to be immune to death tonight and tomorrow. He cannot be killed by any means, including a lynch.
http://i.imgur.com/EBWtu.jpg
Nine of Swords
Swords represent the mind and the voice. The nine of swords is the card of nightmares and despair; it stands for all the thoughts that crowd the mind so much that sleep cannot wrestle its way in--or if it does, it is a sleep that one does not want. When you play this card, choose one person to receive the results of everyone's night actions. Only that person will receive the messages; not even the people who performed the actions will get them. Furthermore, the messages will be reversed (e.g., someone who scans town will cause your target to get a message that mafia was found). Keep in mind that names are not revealed in night action results; people are referred to as "your target." If you use this card, mafia cannot kill that night.

http://i.imgur.com/attEU.jpg?1
You have been reversed! You are now nothing more than a conman selling cheap trinkets you claim are valuable treasures. For those who have seen the man behind the curtain, they begin to realize reality around you and your skullduggery is a farce. You call the earth the sky and the sky the earth, but when your cheap trinkets tumble off your table and break, others will see that you do not represent the eternal truths of reality, but instead contradict and destroy them with your illusions.

Your role has changed. You are now the MAFIA Snakeoil Salesman. If you used any of your cards, they are now restored, ready for you to use again. Each night you may give one card to one other player.
http://i.imgur.com/xPcFp.jpg
Three of Coins
Coins represent earthly ambitions: wealth, property, career success. The three of coins is the card of investment, finding a good product, taking advantage of a situation before others find out about it. When you give this card to someone else, that player receives the message that he now has a one-use ability to watch one person's house to see who visits him. In reality, the ability does nothing, and the player will be told that no one visited his target even if other players do.
http://i.imgur.com/J5VzX.jpg
Five of Cups
Cups represent intense emotion such as love and sadness. The five of cups is the card of crying over spilled milk; the man focuses entirely on what he has lost, while never looking at what he still has. When you give this card to someone, he will receive the message that he may now doublevote as long as he does so publicly. In reality, when he places a second vote, it serves as an ##Unvote: for that day.
http://i.imgur.com/F8y79.jpg
Seven of Wands
Wands represent passion and spirit. The seven of wands is the card of the underdog. Although the lone man is greatly outnumbered, he has the higher ground. When you give this card to someone else, that player receives the message that he now has a one-use day ability to prevent any player (including himself) from receiving any further lynch votes. To use this ability, he must proclaim publicly that he is using it. In reality, the ability does nothing.
http://i.imgur.com/EBWtu.jpg
Nine of Swords
Swords represent the mind and the voice. The nine of swords is the card of nightmares and despair; it stands for all the thoughts that crowd the mind so much that sleep cannot wrestle its way in--or if it does, it is a sleep that one does not want. When you give this card to another player, he receives the message that he cannot vote at all for the rest of the game. In reality, he can (and will discover this if he tries).

http://i.imgur.com/JIXw7.jpg
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_High_Priestess

Behind your pomegranate curtain are hidden all the mysteries of life, ready to be viewed by those worthy and capable of understanding. You are not exactly the veil's guardian, but more its interpreter and representative. Decorated by the various symbols of magic and mysticism, you serve as the voice of god, the spirits, and the universe in general. While you are mortal and, thus, not infallible, you are capable of great wisdom which others are not.

You are the High Priestess, TOWN Seer
Your goal is to kill all anti-town (Evil) players!

Each night you may watch one person with your inner eye. If you successfully watch him, you will learn some details about that person. The details are chosen at random (not my whim, but actually random), but the results will be one of the following:
Faction (Town, Mafia, Independent)
Flavor
Night action
Target

http://i.imgur.com/l8ngb.jpg?1

You have been reversed! You still retain the wisdom you had before, but you no longer hold authority of the mysteries of the universe. The moon now rules above you, instead of lying at your feet; your mystical crown falls from your head; the pillars on either side topple over; and, most importantly, the curtain concealing life's mysteries from those unready to view them falls, revealing all.

Your power has changed. It is now the following:
Each night you may watch one person with your inner eye. If you successfully watch him, the details you learn about your target will be PMed to every player. The PM will not tell them who sent them the info, nor will it say that anyone else received the info. It will just say they are the recipient of divine knowledge. The details are chosen at random (not my whim, but actually random), but the results will be one of the following:
Faction (Town, Mafia, Independent)
Flavor
Night action
Target

http://i.imgur.com/jvbky.jpg
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Emperor_%28Tarot_card%29

You rule from the top of the world with an iron fist. You are stern and very strict at times, but you know if you only had the loyalty and obedience of all your subjects that your kingdom would prosper under an age of stability. Authority and dominance are key to success, you say. Your crown represents your authority, the scepter your power, and the globe in your hand the totality of your dominance.

You are the Emperor, MAFIA Godfather
Your goal is to kill all anti-mafia players!

Every night you may perform one of two possible actions.
1. You may kill someone.
2. You may imprison someone from that night to the next night, the day after which he is released. When imprisoned, the person cannot act or vote, but he may still participate in discussion and is immune to death (even lynching). You may release prisoners at any time by posting ##Release: Player; if done during the day, you must post this for all to see.
Furthermore, when people scan you, you show as TOWN, the Empress, and any night actions you make cannot be traced back to you by investigative roles.

The Empress card:
http://i.imgur.com/GeKqL.jpg
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Empress_%28Tarot_card%29

http://i.imgur.com/uCIm9.jpg?1

You have been reversed! You now cling to your throne as you are nearly catapulted from it. You have become a mad king, paranoid that you will lose all power.

Your power has changed. It is now the following:
Each night you can imprison one person. Your prisoners remain imprisoned only for that night and the following day, but there are no longer any limits to how many times you can imprison someone. Furthermore, your prisoners are no longer immune to lynches. You cannot kill at night anymore, but you may now publicly execute your prisoners during the day by posting the command ##Execute: Player for all to see. You may release your prisoner during the day by posting ##Release: Player for all to see. You still scan as TOWN and the Empress, but your night actions can now be traced back to you.

The reversed Empress card:

http://i.imgur.com/WIwRA.jpg
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hierophant

As a pillar of the community, others rely on you for support and guidance. You are the preserver of and advocate for tradition, charged with advancing your cause and increasing your flock.

You are the Hierophant: INDEPENDENT Cult Leader
Your goal is to eliminate all other factions!
You will get a Cultist board when you successfully convert someone.

During the day, you may intervene in a lynching and nullify all votes for that person. If he is not already a member of another inclusive group (e.g., MAFIA), he will join your ranks as a Cult Member. If the person you save from being lynched is already a member of a society (e.g., already in your cult) or has victory conditions which clash with yours (e.g., kill everyone not in his faction), you will fail to convert him, but he will still be saved from the lynch; this counts as a failed conversion.

Each day phase you should PM me a save list in which you list (in order of preference) whom you would want to save from being lynched. When the final lynch vote is cast, I will announce that the Hierophant has intervened and stopped the mob from lynching (I will not indicate what your faction is).
•You may only have one Cult Member at a time!
•You may replace dead Cult Members with new recruits.
•There must be at least one day phase between conversions.
•Only you and the Cult Member are told of his faction change. Everyone will know that you saved him, however.
•The day phase will continue if there is time after you save your target. He cannot be lynched again during that day (but he can be killed after the day ends).
•Every day phase you need to PM me a new save list, even if it's the same as before.

Cult Members get the following added traits:
•The Cult gets its own secret board to use during any phase.
•Cult Members automatically protect the Hierophant all the time from night kills, day kills, and lynches. Cult Members are NOT told about this either before or after the fact.

http://i.imgur.com/hjmqF.jpg?1

You have been reversed! Tradition has been abandoned and you, in the process, have lost the dignity of your office and the influence that went along with it. Instead of a community rooted in the conservative values of tradition, democracy has found prominence among the ranks of your group. No longer do you lead prayer by pointing to the heavens, but you now bow to the earth while your former followers tower over you.

Your power has changed. It is now the following:
•You cannot save people from lynches anymore.
•You can now have two living Cult Members in your cult at any time.
•Your cult converts new members by selecting a target during the night phase.
•Both you and your other cult member have equal votes in whom to convert next. If you are alone, yours is the only vote.
•If your cult cannot agree on whom to convert, no one will be converted.
•There must be at least one night phase between conversions.
•Cult Members will no longer protect you from death. Furthermore, if you have a current Cult Member, he will now be informed that he had that passive trait unbeknownst to him.
•If you die, the cult can continue with a maximum of two Cult Members.
•If you die, a surviving Cult Member can continue to convert new recruits every other night in lieu of his normal powers.

http://i.imgur.com/6VNab.jpg
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Chariot_%28Tarot_card%29

You are only as strong as your weakest aspect. From the chariot with a broken axle to a kingdom with ruined roads, the whole functions best when all parts are united. Take the horse from the chariot or the citizen from the city and nothing gets accomplished. You represent the unity of parts and opposites.

You are the Chariot: TOWN Enabler
Your goal is to kill all anti-town (evil) players.

Each night you may select one person and amplify his power. You will then select another person to be the target of that amplified power. In effect, you are allowing another character to target two people, with the second person being your choice. You will not learn the results of that night action, but the person you enable will.

http://i.imgur.com/LD8jh.jpg?1
You have been reversed! Chaos strikes as your parts disassemble, flipping your chariot upright, and sending you flying from your car. From now on, your goal is to disrupt progress.

Your role has changed. You are now the TOWN Role-blocker.
Each night, you may select one person to role-block. That person will not be able to perform whatever actions he attempts for that night.

http://i.imgur.com/XqWgc.jpg
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strength_%28Tarot_card%29

Strength is not simply physical power, but a fortitude of the spirit. Trials are overcome through willpower and determination, by conquering base primitive urges that blind us, such as fear and lust. In many ways, strength of the spirit is an aspect of higher intellect, marked by the lemniscate above your head.

You are Strength, the TOWN Mediator
Your goal is to kill all anti-town (Evil) players.

Each night you may select one person to join you on a secret board for the coming day. To make your selection, PM me your choice before the night phase ends. If you do not tell me before the night phase ends, you will not invite anyone to your board. The person you invite will not know who you are or that you know who he is. After the day phase ends, he will not be allowed back to your board unless you invite him again.

http://i.imgur.com/LK1HK.jpg?1
You have been reversed! You have lost the battle against your primal urges. Now, crushing the lemniscate, you wrestle with your urges instead of subduing them.

Your role has changed. You are now the TOWN Turncoat.
You have no night actions. Instead, you have a passive ability to escape death once by convincing whoever tries to kill you to instead let you join his side. No matter what faction attempts the kill, you will join that side as a vanilla player. If you die by lynching, I will nullify the first person's vote and prohibit him from voting for you again; you will join that person's faction and he will be notified of the change immediately. If you manage to avoid a majority vote for the rest of the day, you will survive. But if someone else casts the hammer, you will be lynched.

http://i.imgur.com/opa1P.jpg
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hermit

Withdrawn from society, you venture into the wilderness at night and, guided by lantern light, you explore parts of life you've never come across before. You are the aspect of introspection and reflection, but more than that, you are the lantern itself: illumination from within. The knowledge and wisdom from your long life allows you to see what others cannot in a place where nothing seems to exist.

You are the Hermit: TOWN Tracker
Your goal is to kill all anti-town (Evil) players!

Each night you may track one player. You will see who that player visits during the night.

http://i.imgur.com/OR9NA.jpg?1

You have been reversed! Your lantern falls from your hand and the flame is extinguished. No longer do you venture outside to illuminate the darkness. Instead, you stay safely at home and watch the world pass outside. You are not in a period of introspection and reflection anymore, but in a period of stagnation and discontent. You angrily watch others from within your darkened cocoon.

Your role has changed. You are now the TOWN Watcher.
Every night you may watch one person's house and see what flavors visit him.

http://i.imgur.com/bLyVA.jpg
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheel_of_Fortune_%28Tarot_card%29

Although everyone has the power to change his life, oftentimes things are out of our hands. This is the power of chance--the antithesis of a static lifestyle. You represent these powerful forces of fate, cause and effect, movement, and evolution. Your wheel is always turning, independent of what is considered good and bad, for change is inherently neither; it just exists.

You are the Wheel of Fortune: MAFIA Tailor / Framer
Your goal is to kill all anti-mafia players.

Each night you may make a new identity for one other character. That character's flavor and faction (town, mafia, independent) will appear to turn into something else of your choosing for that night.

You have been reversed! Now turning the other way, the wheel's flow is disrupted. First it slows, then stops, then slowly moves backwards. Sometimes change is constant, but other times--and this is often worse--change doesn't occur. Sometimes individuals experience periods of time in their lives when nothing seems to happen at all.

Your role has changed. You are now the MAFIA Disruptor.
Each night you may target one person and delay his night results message. He will not get any message about what his actions caused on that night until 16 to 12 hours before the next day ends (depending on my schedule). The person you target will not be told why he receives no message, but he will be informed that he will not receive any night action results yet.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justice_%28Tarot_card%29

You are the embodiment of fairness. You carefully judge with the sword after weighing the sins and righteousness of others with your scales. You deal with more than just good and evil, however. You are the necessary factor of positive change within the individual: how does one break a bad habit, how does one find the motivation to be a better person, how does one escape a depression and start living a healthy life? You are the examiner of such predicaments and determine what needs to be done; and what needs to be done is often difficult and painful to accept--hence the sword.

You are Justice: TOWN Vigilante
Your goal is to kill all anti-town (Evil) players.

You have three bullets. Each night you may shoot one person. Whether you kill him or not, you use one of your bullets on each attempt.

You have been reversed! Thrown from your seat, you drop your scales to catch your fall while carefully and carelessly clutching your sword--carefully to ensure you do not land on it, and carelessly because you swing it away from yourself without regard for others. You are now Justice self-concerned, which does not work too well for what should be an emotionless and selfless position.

Your role has changed. You are now the TOWN Veteran.
Each night you may choose to go on alert. If you go on alert, you spoiler behind your window and shoot at anything that moves outside your house, killing anyone who visits you that night (including friends). The number of times you may go on alert is limited--it is equal to the number of bullets you have left from your vigilantism.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hanged_Man_%28Tarot_card%29

Worry not, for you have willingly hanged yourself. You wanted to see the world from a new perspective, and although others see you as an outcast and perhaps even a traitor, the halo you wear suggests you've accomplished your goal.

You are the Hanged Man: TOWN Spy
Your goal is to kill all anti-town (Evil) players.

Each night you automatically learn how many non-town players were on the previous day's lynch wagon. Each day you learn exactly who the mafia targeted the night before. Both of these are passive abilities.

http://i.imgur.com/GMrLm.jpg?1
You have been reversed! Now standing rightside up, you have returned to normality. But will your peers accept you? Oftentimes people in the ordinary world find it difficult accepting those who have achieved and experienced the extraordinary back into their lives. Doing so would mean acknowledging wisdom shared by the enlightened that would challenge the norms of every day life. Furthermore, the enlightened themselves often consider never returning to the ordinary world, for how can it compare to the higher experiences they've left? Either way, returned you have, and although you now see the world as everyone else does, the halo you keep suggests you retain the wisdom of your experience.

Your role has changed. You are now the TOWN Dreamer / Bomb.
When you wake up each morning, you will automatically learn the identity of one town player.
Additionally, if you are killed, you will take out whoever kills you. If you are lynched, you will take out the person who casts the hammer.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_%28Tarot_card%29

You aren't evil--just misunderstood. Death is painful, yes, but so are all beginnings. And that is what death really is: a new beginning. Everything dies--life, careers, vacations--but in these deaths something new always takes their places. Death is a clean slate, an opportunity to start over, a second chance. It isn't easy, but accepting death is an important part of moving on in life.

You are Death: TOWN Reviver
Your goal is to kill all anti-town (Evil) players!

Once during this game, you may take up one fallen town player's sword and continue in his role as he was just before he died. If you do this, you no longer play as Death. If you attempt to take on a non-town player's role, you fail and lose your ability.

http://i.imgur.com/BmSsl.jpg?1
You have been reversed! Death has gone chaotic. Dead bodies fall from the sky as though they are zombies crawling out of the earth. The line between life and death is blurred, and as a result, people begin to realize they unjustly scorned the role of death.

Your role has changed. You are now the TOWN Channeler.
Each night you may select one dead townie and use his power on a living player (including yourself). You may only do this once per dead player.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Devil_%28Tarot_card%29

You're not evil really. The chains you keep on humanity are wide enough for them to take off if they really wanted. The problem you present is too much of a good thing isn't good at all. The horns of the pentacle scorn the heavens as they point upwards; the humans revel in lust, gluttony, and greed; this is a willing imprisonment, and so it is a form of sloth. In this card are the many pitfalls of the freewill of man, most commonly referred to as sin. And behind it all is you, the Devil. Essentially, you embody indulgence, addiction, and self-destruction.

You are the Devil: INDEPENDENT Serial Killer / Mirror.
Your goal is to kill everyone not explicitly aligned with you.

Each night you may kill one person.
Furthermore, you have the passive ability to reflect (almost) any night action back to the source. The person who performs the night action is told he performed the action on himself, but not why. You do not reflect kill attempts, but you are immune to them.

http://i.imgur.com/KJRnU.jpg?1
You have been reversed. The chains slip off humanity, and they successfully escape their primal urges. You are left alone, a dethroned king of hedonism. Tread carefully, for now you have no tricks to distract from your actions.

Your role has changed. You are now the INDEPENDENT Hunter.
Within the first 12 hours of each day phase, you may publicly kill one person. To do so, post ##Shoot: Player. If you do this past 12 hours, you fail. You may do this only once per day, but for as many days as you like. You do not end the day phase when you do this.
Furthermore, you no longer kill at night or reflect actions back to the source.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tower_%28Tarot_card%29

You are the humbler of humanity. No matter what is accomplished, what greatness achieved, what feats performed, you are there to remind everyone that there is always something greater and more powerful that can send one flying from whatever heights one may reach. You are not the building itself, but the symbolism of the tower. Just as Babel was destroyed by God in order to humble mankind, you are the fire from the heavens ruining anything according to your will in order to remind us all that no one is indestructible.

You are the Tower: INDEPENDENT Reverser / Arsonist
Your goal is to kill every living player.

Each night you may reverse one player. This is unblockable. When you reverse a player, his flavor (the card) turns upside down, changing his role and/or powers drastically. Instead of reversing another player, you may choose to remove all reversed players from the game (thereby killing them).
You are also immune to all kill attempts except lynching. In order to be lynched, you need one vote more than the minimum usually required (except in a game of five or fewer living players).

Immune to reversal.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Star_%28Tarot_card%29

At our lowest points all seems lost. It is you who is tasked with the job of renewing hope and forging new paths for the weary and downtrodden. You refill the oasis, grant new life to the suffering, and offer guidance to the lost.

You are the Star: TOWN Princess
Your goal is to kill all anti-town (Evil) players!

Usually when someone dies at night the results of his night actions are not revealed; this is especially damaging when the killed player is an investigative role. As long as the Princess is in play, though, you will receive all night messages of any player killed during the night. Furthermore, if a townie is killed by a normal lynch during the day phase, you will be able to use his ability on the following night if you choose to. Also, if a townie is lynched during the day phase, twilight will extend the day phase by one hour, allowing for further public discussion.
However, if you are lynched, a random townie will kill himself the following night. If you are killed by any other means, no lynch will be allowed the next day (because everyone will all be at your funeral).
You cannot be healed from death.

http://i.imgur.com/vnsiE.jpg?1
You have been reversed! The well runs dry, the land withers, and the stars fall from the sky. A time of extreme pessimism and darkness is upon us as all hope seems lost. But hope isn't truly lost...something is just keeping you from finding it. Something has blocked your powers. Each night you may check two people to see who is responsible for reversing you. If you find that person, you remain reversed, but you get back your old powers.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Moon_%28Tarot_card%29

Here is the land of dreamers and madmen, the kingdom of the fae, and the desert where spirit journeys are taken. It is a wild land that no one can tame. Less of a physical place and more of an experience, this unknown region is dominated by the energy of the moon. When travelers come to the dangerous land, you guide and protect them, reflecting the light of day so they may recognize dangers and safe havens. Although the road can be treacherous, it is a road travelers must take, and if they are cautious and a little lucky, the experience will greatly benefit them.

You are the Moon: TOWN Doctor
Your goal is to kill all anti-town (Evil) players!

Each night you may choose one person to heal from attacks and select other ill effects. You may not heal yourself, but you will know if your target is attacked.

http://i.imgur.com/t9IB8.jpg?1
You have been reversed! Instead of rising to illuminate the land, you are setting, leaving the land in spiritual darkness. The world seems even more outlandish and topsy-turvy; travelers who venture here without your guidance will not experience an extraordinary journey of magic, but a journey of chaos and misadventure. This is the land of werewolves and apocalypse, where men are driven violent and destructive.

Your role has changed. You are now the TOWN Bodyguard.
Each night you may protect one person. If your target is attacked, you will die defending him, also taking out his assailant.

Same. Host one on this forum?

I definitely would, but I never looked into hosting forum mafia here. I always assumed I'd have to have some established credibility to host.

And I would have to rework a lot of it since it was designed to be a one-time game in which no one knows exactly what roles are in it.
