Civil unrest has been increasing rapidly. Frank Fontaine's Smuggling operations had been brought to the attention of Rapture's founder Andrew Ryan, and he sent his head of security. To deal with the problem. Three months have passed since Fontaine was removed. Ryan had believed that the removal would solve Rapture's problems, but a new problem has arisen.
Atlas.
Fontaine may have been a criminal. Ryan had been primarily concerned that he endangered Raptures location, and would exploit it for the Parasite he was. Atlas.. Atlas.. however, challenged Raptures ideals.
In a desperate move, Ryan had moved to Nationalize Fontaine Futuristics to gain its resources. This move was widely unpopular among Rapture's populous. Primarily the working-class. They had left the World to Escape tyrannical politicians, and were not amused by the social elite.
With each move Ryan made, the people turned further from him. While Atlas' following became increasingly powerful.
Rapture is on the brink. Of what.. Who can tell. At this point where Rapture's fate will fall is unknown. It is the eve of the social event of the year. The Kasmir's Masquerade. Perhaps the New Year may be a fresh start for Rapture. Perhaps things will return to what was intended...
