Original thread

In setups where Framers and Godfathers show as citizens to investigative roles, framed targets still show as framer or godfather to investigators/sheriffs. If the players know the rules, rather than a framer making his target look guilty, it can make their target completely cleared of being mafia if the random mafia role they show as is framer.
As such, I think that in games where GF and framer show as citizens, a framer should make a their target show as a citizen if the role they are framing their target as is GF or framer. Otherwise the framer role can help town more than it helps mafia.
Fail reply followed by thread lock...
That would make them useless. Framers primarily affect sheriffs.

Lack of effort is one thing. Closing it is abuse.

I think it was more preventing people from farming posts by making replies that were completely and utterly useless like they've been doing lately.
For discussion, I don't think it would make Framer useless, persay, but I think it would more of a nerf to the Framer than a buff and Framer is already nerfed compared to FM Framers.

Framer framing to "citizen" instead of "framer" and "leader of men" has been or is going to be implemented. Check the second link.
Locking legitimate thread to prevent farming is stupid. Just infract or ban the spammers and delete the spam. Don't be chicken and lazy.

I misread the thread.
I am confused, what is the purpose of the thread if it's already been implemented (meaning open to public)

Than sweeping off the question and closing the thread, at least lead them to the correct thread.
Normal search function sucks in finding relevant threads due to the deluge of FM thread. Advanced search is hidden.
Fix it before asking them to search before posting.
And yes, please delete useless spam from legitimate threads.

Exactly what Chane said, for this. If there is a civi, this just won't work.
I disagree with the suggestion.

First of all, framing others as Framer when immune to detection means obvious framing. Somewhat similar with GF.
Maybe Framer shouldn't frame others as Consigliere, Blackmailer, Consort or Mafioso then.
JSYK the change I made is that framer frames as a random non-detection-immune role in the Mafia. If none applies, it will default to Mafioso.
Update. Since everyone hates framing as citizens...

Exactly. Which is why now two threads are pointless.

A quick-fix for this would be to remove the detection immunity option from Framers.

You are all also forgetting that even if the frame doesn't make them think the target is mafia, it still doesn't allow them to see their true invest msg. That can be just as harmful since an invest who otherwise woulda known someone is for sure sheriff (if exe isnt possible), instead has no idea what they are.
