Best way to kill lag chat: WIFOM

So, i'm of the opinion that the best way to stop lag chat is not to try and prevent it (not enough enforcement) but rather make it useless.

Very simply, this should be allowed:

- If you are mafia or other scum: Be allowed (encouraged?) to post that some random innocent is GF... etc. in lag chat.

Town can't trust lag chat (it's anonymous) and it puts lag chat under the umbrella of WIFOM. This builds intrigue and makes it such that if somebody actually does cheat in lag chat, it can't be trusted because it could just be the mafia misguiding you.

I would say that if an accusation war erupted in lag chat and you lost, that would be losing an argument in mafia. Just as this is a weapon against mafia, remember that this is also a weapon against town. It's fair for both sides. And if it devolves into an accusation war involving 3 or more people, it becomes just noise and useless.

Basically this comes down to the same argument as gun control. Criminals will always have guns and only some will get caught. But if others have the means to defend themselves, the field becomes even.

The problem with the whole thing is everyone gains anonymity. Godfather can say someone is mafia and they lynch that person, he is town, who said he was mafia again? Oh wait, we can't punish that person or even check his credentials for legitimacy.

That is what I spam, I have it in a Notepad. it is as long as I can make it and takes more than half the lag chat window.

The weak point of spam is that by the time you get your spam engines going, the damage has usually already been done and everyone has already read and believed (<--- important) the cheater's accusation.

Also, counterspam a paragraph block of the cheat message repeated and it will be easily readable due to volume. =( =(

PS ^ happened to me today, as I was spamming chat with my alias (which is long due to color ;P)
