Hi there

Just played a game where I was Executioner, with the options "target is always Town", and "becomes Jester upon Failure".

The save is available here (http://blueceli.free.fr/-Mafia-%20(26).SC2Replay).

So on day3, I claim Sheriff, accuse my target (who is investigator :/), nothing happens, day passes. During the night, I'm attacked & healed, so I get some support to lynch the poor invest the next day. I get the message "Breath of relief", which means I won.

I keep playing, but later I "sacrifice" to lynch a guy who is Jester or GF by voting guilty alone - this way, no townie dies, I really am a nice Executioner. He was Jester (Actually, an Amne picking Jester...), so I commit suicide during the night, but it shouldn't be a big deal.

And at the end of the game, I lose. I don't get any points, even if that was my first win as Executioner. I'm not even mentioned in the "Congratulations".

I have to make a precision : we were 2 Execs in this game, but the other one became Jester upon failure and got lynched. Maybe this is the reason I didn't get my points and my win ?

Check settings. you might have had to survive until the end.

I can guarantee it was this.

Exactly, my bad.

So I'll have a small remark : maybe the option should appear in the role list ? I know that I should have checked my screen, but I'm used to get what I can do from the role list only, and it wasn't in it. For exemple, the "Wins ties over arsonist" from the SK is in the list.

Plus, it makes a difference for the town. If the exe MUST survive, he will have to be more careful when he tries to lynch his target, else a Vigi or a Jailor could avenge the townie, making him lose the game.

It is on the role card. Which is larger than that list, and can always be viewed.

I know that, but the role card can't be seen by other players. I'm not denying my mistake.

I'm talking from the point of view of non-executioners. Since the first days are often a matter of "is he exe, or jester, or sheriff ?", knowing if the exe has to survive may be important to know if someone is telling the truth. Since the exe who has to survive also has to be stealthy (especially if he is not invulnerable at night), else a vigilante could end his life as retaliation (or think that it was a mafia move, especially if the target was invest, sheriff or doc).

The Executioner should deal with that himself.
Normally everyone else wont care, or will kill him for killing a townie (if his target was town)
if mafia. mafia would kill him or leave him alone.
