My stats reset twice already... I had just over 80 points before this last reset, the first reset occured when I had just 10 points so it wasn't such a big deal.

Tired of these resets. What to do? What info do I give you?

First of all, your region (US, SEA, or EU) would be the most pertinent. Then, the version of the game you played would be nice to know.

Any stats before version 1.8 were wiped. It seems that the EU version was just recently updated to 1.8. I know you said that the second reset likely wasn't due to the update, but are you sure that this wasn't the case? Were you notified of any error? Let me know if your bank resets again now that EU is on 1.8.

Is there a global ranking in your version? If so, it's not really 1.8 ... It's possible that 1.0 is the 9th update Mille made, which would make it 1.8 on bnet, but it would show 1.0 in the changelog.

As of version 1.9, resets seem to be occurring again. Although your bank is not supposed to be reset even if it appears invalid, it seems to be setting a few elements to zero. Everyone should make backups of their banks until this is fixed.

USA server. I had 140 pts in 1.8. Last game I played was like 12 hour ago. Now I log back in and it's ver 1.9, global ranking and stuff is back but my points are gone again!!!!!! :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( I lost like 360 pts in past 2 days.

Points are not resetting over here in NA and you have the same version as us.

Points don't just reset on their own. Post your bank so I can see what's up.
Seriously, the points don't reset. If it would reset, it would give you a warning first and make you reset manually if it kept up.

Are you switching between computers? Banks are local and if you switch to a different computer you will have to take your banks with you.

Well, I can safely say that you're getting reset because of hackers. No seriously I am not kidding about that. See that giant block of text? Banks aren't designed to have all of that in one key.

I can only fix this with a pretty involved rewrite that will take half of my day. The bad news is that I have a time constraint of about an hour until my EU uploader goes to bed.

He hacked his own bank but it propagated to other banks.

Deleting your bank won't do much. Just wait until after you see 1.20.1 or 1.21 then post your bank.

Hi, had ~600 points on May 4th (Patch 1.25). As of May 5th (Patch 1.26 - 1.28 iirc) my points have been reset. I think it may have had something to do with the fact that I never bothered to enter my Bnet name prior to the reset. After the reset, I did enter my Bnet name in hopes of recovering it, to no avail. Also, I noticed if you don't enter your Bnet name your points do not save at all. This was not true as of 1.25.

There's no evidence to suggest that there is anything broken with the system right now.

Did you put in your correct battle.net name in this version when it first asked you to?
If not, what name did you put in?

No I didnt enter my battle.net name.. I used DonVito, and my bnet name is bawzWoX.
Why does that even matter?

In one of the recent updates, it asked you in a pop up box to put in your battle net name for ranking and points purposes.

If you haven't played the map in a few days, load up a game and see if it prompts you to enter a name, it might fix the issue you're having.

Just played a couple of the new map vers that hit EU today, I had over 500 points, I seem to have been reset after playing 2 games of Mafia, lost all the custom model options i'd aqquired, I would post bank file but not sure where it is. I only ever played games on one computer too.

I'm guessing you didn't enter your name? Anyway, your bank is called "MBank13". Search for it in the StarCraft 2 part of your Documents folder.

I don't know why he calls you a hacker, since I posted in the mod forum that you're legit. Also, the one you see with 6666 points is the Diagma fellow who simply started using Afumba's IDs and leaderboard name to try to piss me off.

mTwDimaga guy hacks in every custom map which includes data banks, this is why ranks shouldn't give any in-game abilities, in catch n run he had creator rank with all possible secret builders, so dumb, he even took the name of popular Starcraft player, also he has Dark Voice avatar... Blizzard does nothing to him >.<

Meaning that even though I use the same account for every computer I use, my points are distributed among the different computers I used to play, and not towards my actual account.

Hello, I just got my points deleted and kicked from the game by hacker mtwDimaga. Why does this guy have mod rights and why is he allowed to live is a mystery to me.... Anyway, what should I do to get them restored?

This all has come at the worst possible time, and the worst thing is that even if I had time, I wouldn't be able to fix it. I'm changing the passwords and limiting mod powers for the next version, obviously, but that will not stop DIMAGA for long.

It's easy: just type a name into the "Type your name" box during the setup.

I'm not sure how people miss it for weeks on end but I'll make it stay throughout the entire game so people will be forced to enter a name out of annoyance.

After setting up a game, your mod required for the first time ever a green field input of battle.net nick on center screen, and that's when all my points got wiped out.

I had approx 1300 points and 60 victories.

As much I adore this mod to take it from the start and redouble gameplay time; I'd really appreciate a restore please.

Hello DR, seems like my points have been partially wiped. I earned the Napoleon hat as well as the Hunk body but the game says I only have 1700 points when I remember at least one of them requiring 2000. The next step I need to get to is the 2300 point hat, whichever that is. My bank file is the following:

Heya, all of a sudden tonight my points reset. I was somewhere between 1-1.1k, for 3 games afterwards my victories weren't counted. Finaly it seems it has begun counting again but from 0. Whats the root of this problem ? and can it be fixed ?

I play on 2 computers, so I know that all stats are local and don't transfer from comp to comp.

At my Dad's house, I have well over 2500 points (recently unlocked Glowman), and well over 150 victories (My guess would be 176? no clue tho). Also, the only roles I needed a win as were: Blackmailer, Witch, Cultist.

I logged in today and played a few games, and realized that my acct is semi-reset... I need wins as pretty much every role in the game, I have just over 300 points and 15 victories...

Any chance I can get my acct restored...? I don't care about pts... just my vics and role wins lol

Points are all I can give. Restoring the role wins are supremely time-consuming on my end.

Also: Mafia won't be updated for a while, so you probably won't see anything for a while either way. I spend 4 hours daily on college transportation because I lack a car. (get up at 5 in the morning and get back home at 5-5:30 pm, then go to bed at 10pm -- NO time for development until I get a car).

This is my account but it got reset back in April. I had quite a few points (1000+ I believe) and 1-S2-1-2290352 is my new ID for some reason.

I had many points prior to the points I have acquired now. I changed my operating system from Windows XP to Windows 7 in April, and I believe since that file was on my XP partition, I lost all of those points. I didn't realize this was an issue when changing operating systems since I thought everything was stored server-side. I thought during an update, everyone's points were taken away, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I have only learned recently that this could be remedied through this forum.

Is there anyway to look into the database to see how many I had back then? If not, it doesn't really matter, I am just really curious and wanted to see what outfits/hats I could have had by now ;)

Erm I reinstalled my computer a few months ago, only to finally install starcraft 2 again and to play my favourite custom game... Only to find my score has been reset.


I believe that the score system on games is saved in a secure encrypted file on the client's computer.
Is there any way I can be returned my score before my reinstallation?

Reformatted my OS a few times, finally figured out what was wrong w/ my laptop and fixed it.

Many people know I've had over 1500+ points in the past when I started playing Mafia, and that I would get a new hard drive, a new laptop, reinstall SC2 & would lose my points. This time, i'm requesting to get my points back. Points don't really matter to me, but it DOES get annoying when I do -mods and everyone see's Benefactor, looks at my points then calls me a hacker and im like "lol wtf?!". Hello Dark Revenant sir. I recently had to do a full system restore due to a virus attacking my computer. All of my folders were deleted, including the mafia points one. I had about 11,000 points and the marine model in the game. I had also won as every role. I'm sure I could get a few witness if need be, but I would never lie about something as little as this. Meh, well I always have. I guess my last hope would have to be Pedobear, who I played with and was a donor. I played with him recently, so if anyone could get a hold of him, it would be great. The only other person who was a donor was named Foxx, who I think is now unactive. I could get a lot of other people, but they are not donors/forum users, so I you guys would probably not use them as credible sources. As for replays, I usually don't play mafia with another person.

EDIT: I had 4900 points when I lost my points for the second time, three weeks ago (I posted this on pg 7). Then I lost them 3 times in the week after that and I think I've gained about a 1000 points since then to get to around 6000.

I have been playing Mafia since June 2011 (at least thats the oldest rep I could find). I remember playing the version before escort was implemented...it may have been sooner, but I didn't set sc2 to save all my reps for quite some time.

Anyway, the points reset a few times when a new version came out back than. Than in a version, I saw you can write in your B.net name, which I didn't do until a month or two ago. I thought that would be my permanent name in the games, therefore forbidding me to choose random names (LOL, right? )

Before I wrote in my b.net name, the game said it saved my points, but they didn't appear in the next one so I assumed it was a bug.

Basicly what I'm asking is: Can I have those points somehow? I have ~1000 replays to back my claim.^^

I assume the answer will be something like "LOL", because it's my stupidy, not a bug or reset:) But it's worth a shot, right?
