So WTF is up with the mafia community?? It's impossible to find a game without trolls anymore.

I hear ya, "don't play pub games"...

Apparently theres no point in setting up private games from mafia chat anymore either. Direct quote from somebody in the chat room today: "I ragequit 3 games in a row when I got assigned sherriff"... pretty sure I was in one of those games. thanks dick.

Don't get me started about jailors... half the time I've been jailed, the conversation has been something like this (typically on n1 or n2):
Jailor: Lets play a game. Whats your role?
Me: Investigator... I checked blue n1 and he came up doc/sk.
Jailor: Cool. I don't care.
*Jailor will execute Sleet.

And fuck that shit, there's no way I'm sitting through another 20 minutes of the game to figure out who the jailor was so I can report them. This sucks the life out of the game and the people who actually try to play legitimately. If you want to repick because host included masons, just to load up your troll save of 12 jesters and 4 serial killers, fine, but take that shit elsewhere. I'm tired of it. Thoughts?

I started to play more FM now because of the bullshit you deal with in sc2maf.
sc2maf is fun when I'm in a trolly mood. I like to spam chat as scum to confuse town and not let them exchange information... that's a super legit tactic.

Mafia is one of those games where trolling in the proper way can actually further your goal.
You can either troll and accomplish your goal or be super srsface and accomplish your goal.
Trolling = fun, so trolling is the road more taken. If you're a super srsface player then you need to develop your ability to sway popular opinion. If you're persuasive enough in your speech, then you can get town to listen to you through the sea of trolling.

It all depends on the kind of game you're in.

Some games are dead silent, then acting serious will make the lurkers trust you.

But if it is a game where everyone spams shit then I activate capslock and go to town ^.^

Like they said before. I generally moved more towards FMs. I don't get on SC2 mafia as much as I use to. I consider the FMs here to be more fun. You get a little bit of trolling in, then serious gameplay and actual thinking. You should sign up for an S-FM and see what we're talking about.
