Welcome to the reports forum! This is the only section of the forum that guests may post in.

Report Format

KEY
Username/Account Name- The accused Battle.net username
SC2 ID/Account ID- The unique ID that is shown at the beginning and end of each game
In-Game Name- The name that was selected/generated for a person when the game starts

STEP 1

Set the thread prefix to whichever crime you are reporting the user of. A section explaining the different crimes and punishments is available further down this post.

STEP 2

Make the thread title according to the following template:

OffenderUsername: #-S2-1-#######
The ID number is seen at the start and end of the game.

Spoiler : Examples :

JoeGreen: 1-S2-1-1234567
Example(Multiple Offenders):
JoeGreen: 1-S2-1-1234567, Tinny: 1-S2-1-7654321

STEP 3

Paste the following into the body of the thread and then fill in the form:

Account Name:
Account ID:
In-Game Name:

Crimes Committed:

Your Account Name:
Summary:

Spoiler : Examples :

Account Name: JoeGreen
Account ID: 1-S2-1-1234567
In-Game Name: Pelvic Thrust

Crimes Committed: Game-Throwing

Your Account Name: DarkRevenant
Summary: At the beginning of the game, he repeatedly posted the names of all of the Mafia, then left. The Mafia were then lynched on the following two days. Clearly, this is a cut-and-dry case of game-throwing.
Example(Multiple Offenders):
Account Name: JoeGreen
Account ID: 1-S2-1-1234567
In-Game Name: Pelvic Thrust

Account Name: Tinny
Account ID: 1-S2-1-7654321
In-Game Name: Johnny Ballz

Crimes Committed: Skyping

Your Account Name: DarkRevenant
Summary: They heal each other continuously starting from Night 1. Ignoring better heal targets such as the confirmed Sheriff and Mayor. They admit they are skyping at the end.

STEP 4 (IMPORTANT!)

Attach a replay of the game in which this player committed the crime(s). StarCraft II automatically saves replays, so if you forgot to create a named replay in-game, you can still find it. The easiest way to access it is to find it in the replays tab in StarcraftII, then click "Open in Explorer" or "Open in Finder". This works for both Windows and macOS. Failing that you can also find it yourself with the instructions below.
Spoiler : Windows :

Unsaved replays can be found in \Documents\StarCraft II\Accounts\#######\#-S2-1-#######\Replays\Unsaved\Multiplayer
Spoiler : macOS :

Replay Directory Path: Macintosh HD/Users/"your username here"/Library/Application Support/Blizzard/Starcraft II/Accounts/"######"/"#-S2-#-#######"/Replays/Unsaved/Multiplayer/

The library folder is hidden in Finder by default; to access the folder, click on the "Go" menu when you have Finder as your front-most application.
Hold down the Option-Alt key, an extra option named "Library" should appear in the Go menu. Simply click on that and then navigate to your replays folder.
i.e. Application Support/Blizzard/Starcraft II/Accounts/"######"/"#-S2-#-#######"/Replays/Unsaved/Multiplayer/

Another way to get to the StarCraftII folder is to use the "Go To Folder" feature.
Open Finder and click "Go" on the top, scroll to "Go To Folder..." and open it.
Copy paste in "~/Library/Application Support/Blizzard/StarCraft II/"
without the quotation marks.
Then go into \Accounts\#######\#-S2-1-#######\Replays\Unsaved\Multiplayer

GUIDE ON HOW TO UPLOAD TO THIS WEBSITE

STEP 5

Post the report and wait for a moderator response. A staff member will watch the replay, determine what happened in the game, determine what crimes were committed and recommend a punishment for the Warden to implement.
It can take anywhere from one minute to a week for a moderator response, depending on their availability.

Just a reminder, a replay is REQUIRED for anything to be done. If your report does not include a replay, you will be given a reminder and a week grace period to upload the replay. Otherwise it will be discredited and ignored.

These crimes are general guidelines. Our main goal is to promote a fun environment for people to play Sc2Mafia.

Crime: Role-Quitting
This is when someone leaves right after they see their role.
Example: Someone leaving right after rolling Doctor.
Type: Light

Crime: Griefing
Griefing is trolling to the point of the game being ruined.
Examples:
1) Lying about being a sheriff just because you want the guy with the colored name to be lynched
2) Targeting a player because of their SC2 identity regardless of actual evidence
3) Running a setup with Stumps or Scumbags assigned (roles which are impossible to generate without hacking one's bank or copying someone's setup who has done so).
4) Spamming excessively, especially anything unrelated to the game.
Type: Light

Crime: Lag Cheating
Lag cheating is when someone shares in-game information over lag chat. It does not matter if the information is true.
Example: Saying "12 is GF" in lag chat.
Type: Situational

Crime: Leave Trains
Leave training is defined as causing a mass leaving of the game. The use of terms such as "choo choo" to incite mass leaving is prohibited.
Example: Saying "SotD detected, choo choo!!!!" then leaving.
Type: Situational

Crime: Reactionary Game-Throwing
This is when you react to something in the game by gamethrowing.
Example: A Mafia member who game-throws because the Godfather keeps attacking an invulnerable target to earn an achievement.
Type: Situational

Crime: Intentional Game-Throwing
This is intentionally playing to lose.
Example: A Mafioso giving out the names of his fellow Mafia to the town during his trial.
Type: Intentional

Crime: Cheating / Additional Information
Cheating is using methods unintended by the game or soliciting out-of-game information (such as a player's Battle.net name) to discuss a game in action.
Examples: Using Skype to plan your plays with other players or asking players to provide their Battle.net name in order to decide whether to lynch or kill them.
Type: Intentional

Crime: Hacking
This is using 3rd party programs to figure out the roles of other players. Pretending to hack may be treated as actually hacking.
Example: Using any hack.
Type: Intentional

Crime: Abuse of In-Game Mod Powers
This is a Moderator using their powers to gain an unfair advantage or break another rule.
Example: Killing players so that Mod wins.
Type: Staff Crime

Crime: Name Abuse
This is naming yourself something so long that it blocks the chat box or the graveyard, naming yourself something that may appear to be blank, coloring your name so dark it is very difficult to read, or naming yourself something excessively obscene or offensive.
Examples: Using a name that is completely black; Making your name only a period "." or other insignificant character. Naming yourself something like "I RAPE CHILDREN" or "ALL N***S MUST DIE"
Type: Additional Crimes

Crime: Colour Chat Abuse
This is using colour coding to highlight your in-game text to manipulate the game.
Examples: Revealing as fake Mayor; highlighting text during court.
Type: Additional Crimes

Crime: Bank Hacking
This is editing your bank file in any way, shape, or form.
Example: Hacking your bank.

*Items with a # denotes action which is only taken on offenses occurred after the first visible management action(e.g Watch-list)is taken.
*We reserve the right to treat the table as only a guideline.

The highest severity crime committed by a player will determine the row of punishment.
The amount of confirmed crimes committed by a player will determine the column of punishment.
Ex: A player has an Intentional Game Throwing report as their highest severity crime, and has 2 Role Quitting crimes on record. The punishment will be in the Intentional Game Throwing row, and the severity of punishment will be equal to amount of confirmed reports, which in this case is 3. Looking at the table, that would be a 2 week Ban-list.

A player end up on both Point Ban and any form of listing their punishment will be Permaban.

Dropping from Ban-list to Watch-list will result in a sentence equal to double the time spent in the previous punishment level (i.e. someone sentenced to 2 weeks in the Ban-list will then have 4 weeks in the Watch-list after the first term is up.)
