It's kind of quiet here so I might as well share a traumatic story about my first mafia game.

It was on another site and I was vanilla town. On the first day I said something that looked like a scum slip but actually wasn't one and was ruthlessly and brilliantly shaded for it by a scum player who has received an award for the best scum player all time on that site or something like that and he had an insane superpower in that game too. Still I avoided the D1 lynch because another VT posted a fake 3P claim that included threatening town with NKs and claiming to possess a rare magic item called a "demon tablet" that had a power to destroy demons (scum). I kept pushing one scum player and screaming that he was scum and I did the same thing with another player that was town.

I kind of stood out in too many ways so on D2 there were 3 likely lynches me being one of them, and 2 lynches due to happen that day. A player that had 1 vote less than I did asked another player to vote me to make it a tie. So it was a tie of 3 lynches all of them town, and then the 2 lynches were RNGd from 3 possible lynches and I was lynched and the person who asked for a vote on me was also lynched and he was town too.

The town cop investigated the scum person that I kept accusing even though no one else suspected them and then he claimed cop and got NKd on N2. His mason partner received the investigation result on D3 and the result was demon. So since town cop was dead and confirmed, the demon person was lynched with 18 votes on them and turned out to be Satan.

There was also a 3P witch team. In the end the demon team won the game. It was fun.

My first game I ignored my intuition and lynched my teammates.. and in my lw I called out 1 of the correct scum. But due to inactivity my team lost. All in all i led two of the most significant midlynches.

That sounds traumatic indeed. I tend to embarrass myself when I play town but I don't really care about it much. I'd say I've also been one of MVP players for scum as a town player but I think I might have a chance to improve that since I've only played 4 games so far and 2 as town.

Now I have a feeling that keeps pinging me, that I've seen something substantial for solving the game in Fury's posts. Which means that he is either 1. gaga, or 2. town and has said something that subtly reveals a town mindset and should therefore be immediately cleared for D1, or 3. town that has consciously or unconsciously pointed out something crucial to figuring out who is Gaga, or 4. town that suggested a strategy that offers a high chance for town winning the game and which has to be recognized by another town and adopted in case he gets converted after D1, or 5. some combination of 2, 3 and 4.

Why wait until everyone posts? There is no guarantee that everyone will post on D1, and if you're town you could be converted by D2. Therefore from a town point of view it would be reasonable to out a suspect as soon as you have them.

This is not an answer. Why the "if I town read every active person"? And why would you even openly refuse to give out your reads? If anything, if you are town and are converted in the night, your D1 reads are the only way you can contribute to town in this game. Therefore if you were town it would make every sense for you to give town reads on D1 if you do have them, and no sense to not give out your D1 reads.

I am not familiar with your meta and I must take into consideration that you could be a player that always looks scummy regardless of alignment. If I am reading Fury correctly.

He believes the game is town favored/trusts the town to be able to kill gaga. Since this is the case. Dying Day 1 before being converted would be the best way to win. So spread crumbs to die.

Alternatively, but spreading crumbs that clearly show that he isn't gaga (because why would gaga be throwing crumbs on purpose; ie gamethrowning) This allows that when/if he is converted, it will be easier to act in the manner that helps him become a fan while still spreading what he is.

It would be more playing towards a win instead of playing towards the town win, which in a cult save, are not necessarily the same thing.
