I think this setup, for now, should be treated like a regular setup. I mean, hunting for illuminati is worthless D1, it would be the same clues as mafia (alignment hunting). so we will have no idea.

I think I am reasonably consistent here in that I believe troll posts to be completely NAI, and, for instance, openly claiming scum is a troll post because if they are scum there should be other posts proving. they are scum, not just the 'troll posts'. Nah I SPECIFICALLY stated in one of my first posts mentioning my reads that it was an early day read and it was also a weak read, meaning I didn't want to Lynch PTB just yet. If anything, given PTB's inactivity and general behavior (he's extremely stubborn; I was well aware of that and it is evident in the thread itself that he is stubborn, part of the reason I said it was a weak read), I would say my unwillingness to completely scum read him and the fact that it was only a slight scum lean. on him - WHICH I SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED BBEFOREHAND- is consistent with what I'm saying.

and d2? Idk if it matters if they reveal or not, I think the Illuminati could easily figure out who the mafia are since they read the chat. But it's still not a good idea because they are literally town. in that sceanrio. pretty much the only town who cannot confirm themselves and who must NOT be lynched if we are to find out who the Illuminati are; if we Lynch the mafia early on we don't eliminate a nightkill, because the illuminati inherit that nightkill. thus we're effectively depriving ourselves of a major source of information (i.e. who the illuminati are targeting; remember that the Illuminati cannot use the nightkill to kill other Illuminati, so whoever dies is pretty much confirmed non-Illuminati).

So.

Setup A: This is a normal & standard game of Mafia. No bullshit, town vs mafia, lynch mafs and win. BUT we can't base off this since Setup B exists....

Setup B: The Mafia thinks they are the Town's enemies, but in fact we are all the same faction: the "Non-Illuminati". If we are in this world, the Non-Illuminati should definetly play as if they were all Town, no matter of their mafia/town alignment.


Lynch mechanics are standard majority lynch.

The Godfather and potential Grand Wizard are Mafioso + Janitor, meaning that they clean their target's role and last will when they kill.

If the Grand Wizard uses his ability of manipulating the GF, the Mafia will know it and therefore HAS to reveal that there are Illuminati inbound. Of course, they can lie....

We have a potential Innocent Child, so if anyone is it, try to play around it IMO.


Questions: @naz Can the Infiltrator, if he exists, fake being an Innocent Child, and reveal as it?

Can Doctor heal himself?

Is the Godfather night immune or roleblock immune? Is a potentiakl Grand Wizard night immune or roleblock immune?

SO. I didn't read my rolecard yet, just got back from work I'm going to analyze the setup, post about it, AND THEN I will read my rolecard.

- So I think the first part is indicating he doens't know what alignment he is yet... im guessing that is NAI.

- Second part could be an excuse for him being late, trying to cover a reason why he isnt scummy. but since he doenst know his role yet I think its NAI.

- He is going to read though and analyze the setup....That is a towny thing to do, but MM usually does that as either alignment. so thats NAI.

- Curious to see his response to after he reads his role card.

For now I have MM as a null read.

So, please, before we fall into host meta and other shit like that I have an appeal to make: DO not tunnel into thinking that there are necessarily Illuminati. THIS being said, we should absolutely prepare for that possibility (but I don't know if that possible? we'll discuss that later).

We, the town, and at first even the Mafia, have little way of knowing whether there are any Illuminati or not. The only way we can 100% state for a fact. that there are Illuminati is if The Godfather's kill is redirected into himself (Last mafia kill is not cleaned). It's very uncomfortable not knowing exactly what the setup is; but I have a feeling it matters more to the mafia than to the Town. I'm not 100% on this and. I am open to other ideas.
