Every balanced setup with two scum teams also has two protective roles. MM seems pretty sure about the 2 teams part and I doubt this setup would be an exception from that rule.

the only problem I have with Otaku is that he seemed to sure that Gyr was 3p, and his associative teams are a joke, its an easy way to fake wolf reads without actually doing the work, and its clear that he doesnt know how to even make associative reads just by putting me and kenny on the same team

Why would he mind making reads since his only objective is to see someone survive the game. He probably didnt feel very enthusiastic about the role and didnt even mind making reads or something.

I was going to change the strategy and say that I needed someone to survive but you already made me do so.
