    Re: Jack Of All Trades

Arguably weaker than each role it copies, but stronger in situational utilization.
It can be awkward to figure when the powers it has already exist in the game.
Ideal is that it’s a second source of power for the faction it’s assigned to to diminish power lose of the faction.
1 shot of each abilities to maintain balanced. Also balanced that if the role does the shots are lost.

I can dig it. Implementing it is a different beast. Basically would require a system to switch between night actions. Other hypothetical roles require a similar system, take for example a Tailor; Being able to choose what the target appears as instead of making it random for simplicity's sake. I could definitely do it and it sounds like a fun but as of right now we're still ironing out the first update and it's going to be a while before I can get to something like this.

Oooh an Idea, but kinda a painful one.

Imagine it's a Town Power/Mafia Support Role with an Investigative purchase.

Like an Active amnesiac without the ability to swap faction.

Town - Tradesman / Triad -Salaryman / Mafia - Mechanic or Fixer.

    - 2 Role Copies [Default]
    - 3 Role Copies [OFF]
    - Cannot be Role Blocked [OFF]
    - Victim knows they were Copied [OFF]

They can copy any players role who is not lynched during the day, and they get a 1 shot use of any ability at the start of that night. So they would be able to copy any active player and get a similar role or designated role based on the role they copied.

This would need a list of roles and what they would copy into, which could really throw a wrench into whatever a triad claimed their role as.

Godfathers usually claim Sheriff since they're able to shun the heat off of them. Say the Tradesman copied the Godfather and was able to become a killing role, they would be able to say, I copied 12, became Vigilante. 12 is GF.

If they're not able to copy a GF's role they would know that player is likely GF unless there were several other roles that couldn't be copied. This could be a pretty powerful investigative tool for the town player that gets it.

Say we scrapped that idea completely and ran Idea 2.

Town - Tradesman / Triad -Salaryman / Mafia - Mechanic or Fixer.

    - 2 Role Changes [Default]
    - 3 Role Changes [OFF]
    - Cannot be Role Blocked [OFF]

They can type -rb -roleblock, -inv -investigate, -shoot, -swap (BD), -det -detective, etc.

The idea is that they can type a -"role" and become that role and they can do it as needed. This would make it easier to choose what to do, otherwise you'd have to have a popup screen of buttons or a -role that brings up a new interface to select options and it would become more difficult. Whereas they could have the freedom with just typing -role to bring up a text box of all the options they could do and be able to pick a choice that fits for their needs.

So if they want to investigate a persons alignment they'd type -sheriff and become a sheriff for the night action and then back to their tradesman for the day action. Kinda like how an amne becomes a dead role at night, without the waiting through the day.

Roles / Options could be allegiance locked only, so a Triad member couldn't become an actual lookout but could get a killing power added for one night. To help the triad with an extra kill. Though they would still be able to be detected even if they picked Dragon head.
