    S-FM Congress

S-FM Congress (18P), also known as S-FM Town vs Town

    Factions:

Green Town, also known as The Liberals
Blue Town, also known as The Conservatives
Red Mafia (Cult), also known as The Socialists
Orange Mafia (Mafia), also known as The Rotten Boroughs

    1. Green Town (The Liberals)

Disgruntled MPs from the Liberal Party, they form the majority of the player base at game start. The Default Role for this faction is Member of Parliament (Liberal).

These politicians, guided by the principles of human liberty and individualism, are ideologically devoted to the philosophy they uphold. Faced with their olden enemies, the Tories, as well as with an ever changing political landscape, the Liberals must strike a balance between consolidating their own power and keeping the torch of human liberty lit. Winds of change, sweeping throughout the continent, threaten to undermine the unity of the party.

Special Mechanics: On Night One, a random Liberal will become a Socialist Agitator.

Win Conditions: No more than 8 players can be alive for the win conditions to execute.

At the end of the game, have a plurality of the votes and more than 4/10 of the voting power. The Conservatives and the Rotten Boroughs must be eliminated and the Socialists must have 1/6 or more of the voting power, and they must no longer have the ability to recruit more members.
    -or-
At the end of the game, have a plurality of the votes and more than 1/3 of voting power. The Rotten Boroughs must be eliminated and the Conservatives must have at least 1/6 of the votes in the game. The Socialists must either be eliminated from the game, or they can at most have 5% (or 1 member) voting power and must no longer possess the ability to recruit.

Pertinent rulings: If at any point in the game the Socialists gain a plurality of the votes, 1/2 of all Liberals in the game will convert to Socialist Sympathizer, with 1/2 converting to Member of Parliament (Conservative).

    2. Blue Town (The Conservatives)

The Old-Guard, they form the second biggest group at game start after the Liberal Party. The Default role for this faction is Member of Parliament (Conservative).

Special Mechanics: Conservatives cannot be converted by the Socialists.

Win Conditions: No more than 8 players can be alive for the win conditions to execute.

At the end of the game, have a plurality of the votes and more than 4/10 of the voting power. The Liberalsand the Socialists must be eliminated and the Rotten Boroughs must not have more than one member still alive. If that member is a Conservative, he must be lynched.
    -or-
At the end of the game, have a plurality of the votes and more than 1/3 of voting power. The Rotten Boroughs must be eliminated and theLiberals must have at least 1/6 of the votes in the game. The Socialists must be eliminated from the game.

Pertinent rulings: Once per game, if the Liberal-Conservative coalition has the plurality of the votes and at least 6 players have been eliminated, and if the Liberals still have the plurality of the Votes, the Conservatives may PM the host to ask for a Confidence-and-supply agreement with the Liberal party, which will result in the conversion of one Liberal to the Conservative faction. Votes should be sent in as follows:
    'I vote for X'.

    3. Red Mafia (The Socialists)

Forerunners of the later Social Democrats and other Marxist groups, they do not exist as a coherent faction at game start. As such, they do not have a default role.

Special Mechanics: All Socialists, except for the Socialist Sympathizer, share a night chat.

Win Conditions: No more than 8 players can be alive for the win conditions to execute.

At the end of the game, have more than 7/10 of the voting power. The Conservatives and the Rotten Boroughs must be eliminated.

Pertinent rulings:If at any point during the game the Rotten Boroughs have more than two members in the Socialist chat, 50% of all Socialists in the chat will be purged (i.e., removed from the game) via a Condorcet vote within the Socialist chat.

    4. Orange Mafia (The Rotten Boroughs)

Politicians who are in it for the influence and power, they are the primary scum faction at game start. The Default Role for this faction is Peer.

    Rolecards:

    Member of Parliament
You are an ideologically motivated member of Parliament, seeking to uphold your beliefs and principles and to help your party above all else.
    Day Ability: None.
    Night Ability: None.

    Socialist Agitator

    Day Ability: None.
Night Ability: Convert a player at night to your faction.
Pertinent Rulings: If targeting a Conservative, conversion will fail. If targeting a Peer, they will join your chat but will still be of their own alignment.

Special Game Mechanics: Every day, an issue will be presented during the day that can be voted for or against.

    Issues:

    1. Chartism

    Option A: Ban protests

    Option B: Allow protests

Option A effect: A random green or blue town member gains the ability to kill at night. One Liberal immediately converts to socialist and joins night chat.

Option B effect: Socialist Faction emergence will be postponed by one night, and a random town member will become a Peer (Rotten Borough).
