Let's think about Washington's bid for the Presidency.
If he were scum he would obviously have to mislynch while keeping a façade of townishness. I do believe that scum wouldn't do that because as Roosevelt pointed out yesterday, this would be an extremely risky play, given that we have a claimed Assassin role in this game. I am of the belief that Clinton would heavily scum read Washington on a mislynch and would possibly shoot him. Hence why I don't think he is mafia.

I don't think Mafia would try to claim the Presidency because that just needlessly puts them in the spotlight and they'd have to be very confident in their own charm to even fathom making such a move.
