    Bus Driver
    Swap the positions of two people at night, redirecting actions that target one to instead hit the other.
    -Can not target self
    -Targets are not informed.

    Citizen
    A regular person who believes in truth and justice.

    Coroner
    Check one dead persons exact role and their history each night.
    -If your target wrote a last will, you will discover what they wrote down.
    -You are able to determine how your target died.
    -You are able to determine which roles visited your target each night.

    Crier
    Speak to the entire town at night, anonymously.
    -When speaking you are anonymous.

    Detective
    Track one person each night to learn who they targeted that night.
    -Your action ignores detection immunity.

    Doctor
    Protect one person each night from death.
    -You are not informed if your target is attacked.
    -Your target is not informed if healed.

    Escort
    Block someone's role at night, canceling their night abilities.
    -You can not be role-blocked.
    -You are not informed if your target is role-block immune.

    Jailor
    Choose someone to jail and role-block during the day. You are then given a night chat with your prisoner and the option to execute them.
    -You can make 1 execution.
    -Executions ignore all immunity and cannot be healed.
    -Your ability only works if nobody is lynched during the day.
    -Jailing is the perfect role-block, meaning your target cannot make any action or talk with anyone else at night.
    -Your target gains night immunity while in jail.

    Lookout
    Watch one person at night to learn the names of everyone who visited them.
    -Your watching bypasses detection immunity.
    -You can target self.
    -You are not immune to death by veteran or mass murderer.

    Marshall
    Activate your ability and publicly reveal your role.
    -When you activate your ability, two lynches can occur that day.
    -After the first lynch, day is extended by 24 hours.
    -Your ability has one use.
    -You can not be healed.

    Mason
    Collaborate with other Masons at night through the secret Mason night chat.
    -You are given a night chat with the other Masons.
    -You know who the other masons are.
    -You may not convert other roles to masons.

    Mayor
    Activate your ability and publicly reveal your role.
    -If you have activated your ability, your votes count for three.
    -You lose your extra votes if you are changed to a different role.
    -You can not be healed.

    Sheriff
    Check one player each night for their alignment.
    -Detects Mafia, Serial Killer, Arsonist, Mass Murderer.

    Veteran
    Go on alert at night to automatically kill everyone who visits you.
    -You automatically attack everyone who visits you at night whilst you are on alert.
    -You can not die from a direct attack whilst on alert.
    -You can not be role-blocked whilst on alert.
    -Your automatic attacks ignore any night immunity your attackers have.
    -You are limited to 1 night on alert.

    Vigilante.
    Kill one target at night.
    -You only have 1 shot.


    Mafia

    Shadow one person at night to learn who they targeted that night as well as the the names of everyone who visited them.
    -You may sacrifice your night action to act out the Mafia kill.
    -You are given a night chat with the rest of the Mafia.

    Beguiler
    Hide in another persons house each night, redirecting all actions that target you instead to hit your target.
    -You are limited to three hidings.
    -Your target will not know he is being hidden behind.
    -You may sacrifice your night action to act out the Mafia kill.
    -You are given a night chat with the rest of the Mafia.

    Consigliere
    Check one player each night for their exact role.
    -You may sacrifice your night action to act out the Mafia kill.
    -You are given a night chat with the rest of the Mafia.

    Consort
    Block someone's role at night, canceling their night abilities.
    -You can not be role-blocked.
    -You are not informed if your target is role-block immune.
    -You may sacrifice your night action to act out the Mafia kill.

    Framer
    Frame one person each night, you decide the following:
    --What alignment they appear as:Serial Killer/Arsonist/MassMurderer/Mafia/Not Suspicious.
    --Who they appear to visit.

    -You are given a night chat with the rest of the Mafia.

    Godfather
    Leader of the Mafia.
    -You may act out the Mafia kill.
    -You cannot be killed at night.
    -You cannot be role-blocked.
    -You appear to be an inactive citizen with no clues to investigation roles.
    -You are given a night chat with the rest of the Mafia.

    Janitor
    Prevent one persons role from being revealed each night.
    -You can only make 3 successful sanitation two times.
    -Last wills are also removed.

    Kidnapper
    Choose someone to jail and role-block during the day. You are then given a night chat with your prisoner and the option to execute them.
    -You can make 1 execution.
    -Executions ignore all immunity and cannot be healed.
    -Your ability only works if nobody is lynched during the day.

    Neutral

    Amnesiac
    Remember your identity by converting into any role from the graveyard.
    -You must remember a role and meet that roles win condition.
    -You may not remember: Godfather, Mayor, Marshall.
    -You are immune to role-blocks and witch whilst Amnesiac.
    -If you become a role that has limited uses of an ability, you will be given that players remaining uses of the ability.

    Arsonist
    Either Douse someone with gasoline each night or Kill everyone you previous doused in flame or un-douse yourself.
    -You cannot be killed at night.
    -Your targets do not know they are doused.
    -You douse anyone who attempts to role-block you .
    -Ignition always kills.
    -You know exactly who you have doused.

    Auditor
    Convert one person to Citizen each night. Mafia instead become a Mafioso. Neutrals becomes Scumbag.
    -You are limited to three conversions.
    -You can not audit someone who is being protected by a bodyguard.
    -You cannot audit roles that are immune to killing at night.

    Executioner
    Live to see their target lynched during the day.
    -If your target is killed at night instead of lynched you will become a scumbag.
    -You must survive to the end.

    Jester
    Die by being lynched during the day.
    -Get Lynched.
    -If you are lynched a random voter dies.

    Mass Murderer
    Perform a killing spree at someone's house each night.
    -Everyone who visits the house you target will be killed in your killing spree.
    -Players who perform no night action are considered to visit themselves.
    -If you kill more than one person in a killing spree, you must wait 1 night before killing again.
    -You cannot be killed at night.
    -You may target yourself.

    Scumbag
    A regular person who believes in lies and in-justice.

    Serial Killer
    Kill one person each night.
    -You cannot be killed at night
    -You automatically kill role-blockers who target you.

    Survivor
    Put on a bullet proof vest manually at night, becoming immune to death.
    -Survive until the end.
    -You have 2 vests.

    Witch
    Force one person to use their night ability on a target of the Witch's choice.
    -Mind-control can only be used to manipulate target able actions.
    -Mind-control can be used to make people target themselves, even when they normally can't.
    -Your victim does not know he is being controlled.


    Win Conditions
    Town: Have 1 Town alive and eliminate all Mafia & Neutral Evil.
    Mafia: Have 1 Mafia alive and eliminate all Town & Neutral Evil.
    Amnesiac: Remember a role and meet that roles win condition.
    Jester: Get Lynched.
    Survivor: Survive until the end.
    Executioner: Your target must get lynched.

    The existence of masons is that there are town players, that KNOW another town player.

    The reason behind the massive amount of citizens in forum mafia is that the incredibly long days lead into lots of time to talk and draw opinions about other users, as opposed to the minute and a half provided in the mod. It's best explained by just playing a game or maybe even reading one. You could find yourself drawing conclusions without realizing it and reading someone else saying the same thing as you and it's a very eye opening experience.

    The first one I ever read in my spare time was the Curse of Castle Varen and it's a really good read. If you find yourself bored as fuck one day, just open it up and start scrolling.

    It's basically to stop people thinking that they will turn into mason leader and be able to recruit other roles.

    Forum Mafia will and always will contain citizens. If you play forum games with the exact same setup as the mod, you will find that town win a vast majority of the time. Town's true power is the power of discussion

    I do put Citizens in my setups. But noone ever wants to play that, so I stick to a standard 933 no cult extended day/night cycles.

    Now about the setup, I love it! This could also go in the idea order of ideas than my N-FM thread. Mod mafia players are more likely to stay if they have something familiar.

    More seriously, the Citizen in this setup is literally the pain of the game... Compare it to a Mayor/Marshall/Crier, he doesn't even have a vest nor win tie vs Mafia/Triad! It could be nice to exclude him from governements/buff him a little bit, since he's the only non-host-revealed gov role.

    I can already see this being massively different from -Mafia- games. Because in SC2 half of players usually don't type anything first 2-3 days.

    I did understand it correctly, right? That minimum of 5 posts per game day is for each player? What's the punishment for breaking that rule?

    Yes! In Forum mafia it is vastly different from the SC2, the game depends upon the posts and discussion. 5 posts isn't hard though, and honestly once you get into it you will find yourself posting much much more.

    Correct, its for each player, and punishment is generally you get replaced, and possibly denied future signs by hosts that do not want inactive players.
