My take on neutral benign- keep them alive as an extra vote if we know their identity unless they seem like agenda'd scum playing benign

I have finally arrived in full, but I will be joining you in sleep shortly.

First, my thoughts on the game. I will be leaning away from metagaming the setup as much as possible. I'll tackle the questions first.

Primarily, I could have sworn the setup said mandatory lynches at first. Maybe I'm just out of it. I stand by my statement that lynching is not a bad idea. I acknowledge a jailor is possible, but I simply don't see the benefit comparing an individual's thought development versus what is essentially an 8v2.5 day 1. (Of course counting the evil as half, and the benign not at all.) Keep in mind there is no Mafia sided jailor.

Secondly, I think the town should actively be looking for the benign role. Nothing in that role list even begins to benefit the town, even in the case of a townsided lover. Search & ignore or vig. Though the vig should only be shooting a benign suspect if there is literally no other option, as they are limited in teaming with the Mafia/Evil.

Of the "randomness" question: I will put faith in the fact that the roles are entirely random. However, I do somewhat agree with the sentiment that Lover seems like a unique role that wants to be played. Mafia roles are a complete toss-up to me, and I will also refrain from speculating about the town since it would likely only be hurtful. All of the Evil roles are mechanically interesting, and I would have no bias between which of those to see either. Do witches notify their targets?

Lastly, I would be more concerned about early TPR claims. There are a lot of roles in the mix that are harder to prove.

This was a much more fragmented statement than I had hoped, but Gods am I tired. If anything of importance is brought up I'll probably roll around again.

My issue was.you suggest a plan but don't put yourself first, leaving the choice with whoever thinks cop.cover.is a good idea, which would.most likely be the cop.
