    There are quite a few things wrong with the setup that came to light in the thread.
    1. descrepancies between setup versions
    2. idiot syrup in general
    3. alch's lack of ability to kill until N2
    4. confusion about vanishing elixir
    5. also rebel. thats a stupid role.

    There are also a few other issues about the setup that you didnt see
    1. more confusion about vanishing elixir
    2. fireworks bomb is shit
    3. concussion shot discrepancies
    4. big one doesnt kill the person it's aimed at
    5. vanishing elixir is actually a unique potion meaning you can only brew one per game. i was unable to protect super jack as well as me.

    Town had so many mislynch opportunities this game that I lost count. This is theoretically balanced out by the fact that the scum gets access to things like idiot syrup and vanishing elixir but in practice vanishing elixir should confirm someone as scum and idiot syrup is just pure annoying. Concussion shot and fireworks bomb both are hardly worth brewing and scum is essentially forced to brew a soul oil every night if they want a steady KPN.

    This game is haunted by one of the key concepts of mafia. You should never be forced by the host to withhold information. Crier, mason, and idiot syrup all break this rule and it's fucking stupid. This made for a more stressful than fun experience for me as alchemist because I could either sack my KPN which I actually did at the end of the game in favor of a big one or shocking concoction, or I could leave my soul oil in the fateful hands of suntax.

    In fact the only really net positive thing that came out of this was the new meme.

    I still would like to congratulate mesk for doing such an amazing job as a first time host. All big issues were handled well with justified modkills and that never feels good to do as a host. I would love to play another mesk game just this time leave it balanced to someone who had played games of forum mafia before. Only complaint: please number each day or night opening post.

    I know it's been a while since the game has been finished, but I never got a chance to give my real final thoughts.

    First off, this was my first game hosting! Although it was a cluster fuck, it was important to me to give back to the S-FM section as I've been participating in these games for over a year now. Given our community is somewhat small and not everyone is willing to take the time to host a game I thought this would be the perfect time to play my part.

    If I am to host a game again, I will most definitely highjack a more suitable Setup for our site. While I thought I went through everything and tried to make it as balanced as possible, as it played out it was clear not everything was balanced as I would have liked it to be. I will also make sure to think of every possible outcome as it's clear that not everyone reads their role cards in depth or the setup for that matter.

    Thank you to everyone who played and who subbed in last minute. I was quite surprised how many people I was able to pull out of my ass to replace in.

    I will also try to not host a game when I'm working 35 hours a week. Because of this, towards the end I started slacking with the day end post and day beginning posts. I do apologize sincerely and I do hope that my game didn't effect anyones uhhh, view of our community LOL
