    Phase 4: Resolve Actions

    The Protagonists encourage the Police Officer to visit the Hospital to investigate the death of the Doctor. But he is not alone... Others have ventured to the Hospital, including the Office Worker and the Shrine Maiden. What purpose could they have there? The Protagonists have forbidden the Girl Student from leaving the Hospital, where they think she will be safe... But in doing so have they only sealed her fate?

    Phase 4: Resolve Actions

    The Girl Student has been growing increasingly depressed a her sick grandmother's condition worsens.

    Meanwhile, the Police Officer had spend the day working on his latest case, a violent string of deaths, which brought him into the local high school.

    A well known Doctor left the hospital early that day to travel downtown. No one at the hospital seemed to know why. At the same time, the local Shrine Maiden visited the hospital, just as an Office Worker checked himself in, complaining of stomach cramps.

    The Girl Student's heart breaks as her grandmother is checked into the Hospital. It has become clear her time grows short as the Doctor is called back to the Hospital to tend to her. The Protagonists do their best to keep her from breaking down, but is in a tenuous situation at best.

    The Boy Student is encouraged to visit the Shrine to say a prayer for his friend's grandmother just as the Shrine Maiden returns.

    Story Summary: A girl stands to inherit everything once her grandmother passes away, unbeknownst to her. A scheming doctor convinces a jealous relative to hire an assassin to eliminate her. There’s also a serial killer in town and a confused police officer, which makes things worse. Is there anyone who can protect this innocent young girl?

    Gameplay Summary

    Loop 1: The first loop was simple. A mastermind will always try and end a loop as quickly as possible in order to deny the Protagonists valuable information. However, revealing the Serial Killer is a double edged sword as it allows the Protagonists to manipulate him to their own ends, as you realized by Loop 2. I played Intrigue on the City as a decoy while also playing paranoia on the Police Officer, to set him up as a potential suspect for the Murder incident later on. The Mastermind will often attempt to bluff in this way. Learn to separate the truth from the lies.

    Loop 2: This loop I intentionally played the same actions as the previous loop. This served a dual purpose, to see how you would react (and to see if you would learn from your mistake) while also reinforcing my earlier plays in an effort to make my bluffs seem more believable. The murder of the Brain might have made my attempts to have the Office Worker kill the girl via Intrigue more difficult, but your actions inadvertently played into my hand.

    Loop 3: This loop started out bad for me with the death of the Office Worker. This left me with no way to kill the Girl Student, save for the Suicide incident as the Officer Worker was the Killer and the culprit of the Murder incident both. Fortunately, I was already intending to pursue this avenue and brought the Police Officer into the school to facilitate the increase in Paranoia. Without knowing who the Conspiracy Theorist was, the end game did come down to a game of chance, but I am impressed by how much thought you all put into your moves. For your first game, you all did very well!

    and unknown1234 and iced_monopoly are great partners to have on this type of puzzle. I probably would have dragged us into more traps if they hadn't pointed out those pitfalls.
