the more games you play the higher the amount of points you get at the end of the game.

Alignment/faction also gives different values I thought

+1 for each day of in game time (I think) regardless of faction
townies and mafia/triad get like 20~26 for a win, with the higher end being bonuses from games played.
neutral killings get like 35
neutral evils also get like 20~28
neutral benigns are also like 20~25
Solo neutral evil wins (that aren't cult) get about 35~40

Losing but staying to the end is something around 10~15. You get some just for losing, and +1 for each night the game goes on while you are dead

the longer a game goes (day 7, 8+) the more points you get, but a short game (day 4, 5 and below) result in pretty disappointing returns if you are town.

I 'believe' its also calculated based upon the difficulty of that win. If the setup has 10 mafia and 3 town the mafia will receive a lower amount of points at games end. Could be wrong

I believe that's correct and recall at one point, that the game would actually spit out setup strength weights at the end of the game to tell you whether it was tilted or not. Those tended to correlate with points.
