    M-FM: Return to Castle Varen

M-FM : Return to Castle Varen
    21 Players, 20 Accounts

It's been more than 3 years since the incident that occured at Castle Varen. Out of the 20 people who were involved in what the Media dubbed the Varen Massacre, there was only one Survivor.

The Media gave several explanations for the Varen Massacre. Some said a Thrill Seeker, or group of Thrill Seekers, plotted before hand to terrorize the others under the guise of the curse. Other's said it was Lord and Lady Varen themselves who lured everyone to the island with the intention of murder. A few outlets even ran with the stories that the Curse of Castle Varen was true, saying that Ghosts were responsible for the deaths, or the Portrait of Lady Varen was the cause.

Even the FBI was unable to provide a full report of events to the public, even though it was discovered after the events that two FBI agents were also killed in the massacre.

The Lone Survivor has not spoken out regarding the events that took place, and has been hiding from the public eye since the massacre. No doubt they are deeply scarred by their experience. They have not been able to give their account of events, so we may never know what truly happened that night in Castle Varen.

The Governor has decreed that Castle Varen must be dismantled to allow the community to heal. While this has been agreed on by most citizens, there has been some outcry in the country against the destruction of heritage. One group in particular, the self-proclaimed Heritage Defense Front (HDF), has spoken out against the Governor's actions, alarming the Media. Due to their violent methods, the HDF has been designated a terrorist organization, as they are known to take extreme actions to forward their agenda. It is not known if they will do anything to disrupt the dismantling of Castle Varen, but they have the means to do so if they wished. Because of this, the Department of Homeland Security has assigned two agents to go under cover to ensure that the HDF cannot launch a successful attack.

Construction conglomerate American Mason, Steel & Construction Co. will begin their project soon.

*Survivor (Hidden Neutral) and Ghost are not included in role list.

Heritage Defense Front (HDF): The HDF has used their extensive contacts to get 4 of their members hired by American Mason, Steel & Construction Co. and placed specifically to work on the deconstruction efforts. Many plans have been laid, including explosives, rigging traps, kidnapping, and murder. Whichever they choose to pursue, they hope to save Castle Varen and it's rich history from being destroyed. For the safety of the mission, you have never met the people who you are to work with until now.
Federal Agents: The two Federal Agents were assigned to ensure the deconstruction efforts went off without any problems. However, one has assigned themselves a second objective: to discover what happened 3 years ago to his friends and colleagues. Him and this new Agent might, however, just end up suffering the same fate.
American Mason, Steel & Construction Co. (AMSC): The AMSC is an old brotherhood of Masons, Steel workers, Carpenters, and other tradesmen. Due to the size and success of the company, the Government has hired them for the deconstruction efforts. With the company this big, new people are hired on nearly a daily basis. Will they accidentally end up uncovering the truth behind Castle Varen's curse?
Media: The Media has sent a reporter to cover the events on the island during the project. The Media placed a reporter here under the guise of reporting on the HDF and the removal of Castle Varen, but they hope to use this opportunity to reveal to the public exactly what happened during the Varen Massacre. To accomplish this mission, the Media has sent their star reporter who has covered all the major stories since beginning their career 3 years ago.
Survivor: People have forgotten what you look like, and you have traveled back to Castle Varen for reasons unknown. Because no one knows who you are anymore, you could be anybody. Only you know what your intentions are for returning.
Fanatic: Inspired by the Varen Massacre 3 years ago, you have planned to travel to Castle Varen during the project. The Castle has been vacant since the massacre, and no visitors have been allowed. You think this is the perfect time to recreate the massacre as you imagine it happened.
Ghost: You were partly responsible for the Varen Massacre. Your spirit still lingers at Castle Varen. With people arriving at the Island, you have noticed a familiar presence. Seeing this as the last opportunity you might have come to peace with death, you vow to help the Lone Survivor accomplish whatever they have planned. If only you knew what it was.

I have most of this done. Anyone have any roles they would want to see in this game before I start working on Investigative pairings.

How do you see this role working, logistics-wise? What kind of information is presented when someone uses the action, how many actions is too many, ect?
