    In - Time Mafia
    How did it get so late so soon?

    Hello

    This is a setup to show I'm back or something like that :]

    The idea is not that complicated : You die when its your time to die.

    The 7 Golden Rules:

    1) All the players has a countdown in their role pm's which is showing when their going to die
    2) If someone's time is up , they will die - unless something else is preventing it or changing the effect
    3) You may get extra time or loose your time due to effects of game , mechanics and abilities
    4) You need to pay time to use your abilities. More powerful abilities consume more time
    5) There is no day deadline. All nights will be 24 hours long (and that 24 hours will be counted in measuring your remaining time)
    6) Upon lynch, the lynched player remaining time divided equally will be added to all the players who were participated in the lynch. Kill methods might have variant effects on the remaining time of the killed person and will be treated differently.
    7) If you get 1000000 years time - you will leave the game as a winner without flipping mid game.

    This is a very new aspect in mafia games - and I believe is untested so far. I'm really interested to see anything similar if anyone know one.

    The above is the basic idea and general rules. For this version of In-Time mafia I have the following setup in my mind :

    Roles:

    Time Guardian
    Random TPR
    Random TPR
    Random TPR
    Citizen
    Citizen
    Citizen
    Citizen
    Citizen
    Citizen

    Time Guardian
    Random MPR
    Random MPR

    Win conditions:
    Town : when all scums (2 mafia and orange town guardian are dead)
    Mafia : when they have the majority (soft) over town.
    Time Guardian : Wins with mafia or if Town time guardian dies. Will leave the game as winner with flipping whenever either win cons trigger. If both mafia dies he can only win by getting rid of the town time guardian.

    Time guardian :
    - Starts the game with 1 week life
    - Can check how much life someone has by paying an hour once during each day phase
    - Can transfer time to anyone unlimited - without paying any tax during nights.
    - At the end of night - can steal life. For that he need to pay a day and he will steal half of the targets life.
    - During each night he must mention someone's name. They will get a gift of 3 days life time. This action is compulsive and if Time guardian don't choose anyone , a random person receives the bonus 3 days life.
    - No one can steal life from you but they can remove it.

    Sheriff
    - starts the game with 4 days life
    - can check someone's alignment at the end of night by paying a day. You will receive an unambiguous result.

    Doctor
    - starts the game with 4 days life
    - you can target players at anytime during a day phase, if their life is shorter than a day phase that will be announced in game thread. All other players get the option to transfer life to him by paying a 20% life tax (For gifting 20 hours , they need to loose 5 extra hours) no one will be able to transfer life after 24 hours or when a night starts. If the person life is not shorter than a day, you will loose 5 hours instead .
    - you can target a player at night by paying 3 hours. The targeted player can't loose more than 24 hours from any types of killing actions.

    Detective
    - starts the game with 4 days life
    - Can target others at night by paying 5 hours , to learn who are they visiting.

    Lookout
    - starts the game with 4 days life
    - Can target others at night by paying 5 hours , to learn who they visited them.

    Bodyguard
    - starts the game with a week life
    - You can protect other players at night; If anyone attacks them , you will loose the exact time the protected player would loose instead of them.

    Escort
    - starts the game with 5 days life
    - Can target players at night by paying 10 hours , role blocking them for the night. They will still loose the time they were paying to perform their actions.

    Veteran
    - starts the game with 4 days life
    - Can go alert on nights by paying a whole day. You will steal up to 2 days from each visitor.

    Vigilante
    - starts the game with 6 days life
    - Try to kill another player. Remove 2 days from your target. if they have more than one day life after that - steal one day life from them as well.

    Citizen
    - You start the game with a week life

    Time guardian
    - Starts the game with 3 days life. You will get an extra day for your first post each 24 hours.
    - Can check how much life someone has by paying an hour once during each day phase
    - Can transfer time to anyone unlimited - without paying any tax during nights.
    - At the end of night - can steal life. For that he need to pay a day and he will steal half of the targets life time.

    - No one can steal life from you but they can remove it.
    - You will win the game if the other guardian is dead or you and the mafia team form a majority.

    Mafia will have one of the Town power roles (even sheriff) . Their life is factional (means their life is like a bank - if one of them get extra life the bank account will be increased and vise versa - both will die together) .They have a factional 2 weeks starting life. a factional chat they can use at days or nights (not with orange time guardian) and a factional kill. to perform a factional kill one of them needs to spend an hour from their life bank ; The factional kill removes up to 3 days from the target. If you try to kill a Time guardian - you will immediately remove all the times they have and kill them.

    Day:

    1) Upon lynching , all the involved players gets an equal portion of lynched person time. The lynched person's time will be zeroed and he will die.
    2) No one is lynch immune. No kind of immunity can stop the lynch or its effects.
    3) A day won't end unless by achieving a lynch. When a player's time ends during a day phase day will flip but day will continue regardless.
    4) By lynching from a faction who shares a bank of time, The time in bank divided by numbers of people who shares that bank will be considered as the lynched players time.
    5) When there is only one player who shares a bank , they will take all the time credits inside the bank for themselves and it will be treated normally.
    6) Day phases has no deadline and will continue till a lynch achieves.
    7) Day phases actions will be resolved at their exact cast time - not when I'm awake to resolve them.

    Night:

    1) All Night phases will be exactly one day (24 hours) long.
    2) All the actions will take place at the end of night at this order:

    1 - Time guardians will give the gifted times to chosen/random players
    2 - Time guardians might transfer time.
    3 - Everyone will pay the costs of their actions.
    4 - Role Blocking
    5 - Healing
    6 - Factional kill
    7 - Vigilant
    8 - Veteran
    9 - Orange Time Guardian life steal
    10 - Town Time Guardian life steal
    11 - Inspecting
    3) Players must survive till end of the night to be able to cast their abilities. If they die before night deadline , they will flip at day start.

    Notes :

    1) Always be careful about your time.
    2) Make sure days won't be so long , you need to plan for your whole game not just the days.
    3) I am online a lot but there will be times when I'm not available to resolve your actions immediately Just keep in mind the actions will resolve in the time you submitted them not based on when I'm resolving them.
    4) Pay attention to the following general game rules :

    1 - Never contact anyone else (player or not) about the game out of the approved and considered game topics.
    2 - Respect the other players and general game rules. This is a game, primary objective is to have fun.
    3 - This is not just a game! Its a mafia game. Secondary objective is to win. Always play toward your win condition.
    4 - Feel free to ask questions from me privately. never ask your role related questions publicly.
    5 - Feel free to replace out. I don't give a damn if your angry or unsatisfied - ruining the game is exactly what cowards do.
    6 - During day phases You need to post 1 post each 24 hours or I will prod you. If you fail to pick up your prods In next 24 hours I will halt your time and force replace you. The replaced in players will get a gift of 12 hours.
    7 - I am the goddess of this game. What I say goes. so you don't mistake my godly notifications with other players posts I am the only one who can use Bolded Violet.

    You really like math involving setups, don't you ?

    What happends if someone wants to use an ability without having enough time ?

    If a player dies during a night phase, is his action still carried out ?

    What happens if a player dies in a day phase ?

    hey! I don't think so? I'm not sure what was the other game I modded here though. I have so many varient games in my modding history ...
    The fact I was a math teacher 6 month ago might be involved!

    The action won't be submitted. the time won't be removed.

    no. A player must survive till end of night to make a night action go through. All the prices will be paid at the end of night before all other actions.

    They will die and flip - the day will continue till a lynch happens.

    And the numbers might (will!) change as I hadn't the chance to do calculations. Their just there atm to show ratio's.

    I don't understand your question. The scum Time guardian is a dead man if he claims and the town one is not in that great position (it can be effected by factional kill and 2/3 vig shot) and their not center of power , more like time distributers - support utilities.

    I don't know how that orange extra wincon willl effect the game atm. It was attempted to be a semi lyncher implimention

    @Mattz it was in the part I didn't explain. The first mafia lynch will remove exactly half of the banked lifetime - then it will be totally in hands of the remaining mafia and will be treated normally.

    Yeah regarding time guardians.

    Town time guardian wins with town when all scums are dead so him claiming his role is extremely anti town as he will be mafia target.

    Top make this more applicable I'm going to add this to mafia factional kill:

    - If you try to kill a Time guardian - you will immediately remove all the times they have.

    With this Orange one is a combination of lyncher uninformed traitor who needs to hint to his team about who he is and both guardians are support roles who are extremely powerful and best chances for their factions to win.

    If both mafia players die the orange guardian needs to get rid of the time guardian and majority win has no meanings anymore.

    This is why I continue to play on this site. Games like this that are completely unique to many other places I could go. Its reminiscent of Mafia Maniac, another site that does these kinds of games.

    Edited some of the roles time - game is calculated based on a at most a 2 day day 1 and relitevly shorter later days - depending on when first mafia is going to get lynched.

    one random town power role is changed to citizen.

    Action resolving system is updated to clarify the order of kills.

    The game is complete. if there is any point I'm here to respond.
