    Setup :

    1. Mafia

    Roles :

    Godfather
    - Shows up as Town.
    - Can act out the factional kill.
    - This is an unique role.

    Mafioso
    - Can act out the factional kill.

    Consort
    - Target someone at night to roleblock them.
    - Targets are not informed.
    - The Consort is informed of who they roleblocked, or if they failed.
    - Can not make a Last Will.
    - Can act out the factional kill.

    Consigliere
    - Target someone at night to gain a clue about their role.
    - Can act out the factional kill.

    Framer
    - Target someone at night to make them show as guilty (Mafia / Neutral) and part of investigative pairing that a currently living non-town is in.
    - When targeted by Consigliere or Investigator, you show up as a random investigative pairing.
    - Can act out the factional kill.

    Agent
    - Target someone at night to learn of who they targeted and was targeted by. Results are divided and not mixed.
    - Can act out the factional kill.

    Janitor
    - Target someone at night to clean their role and last will (???) if the target also dies the same night.
    - May use the Janitor ability a maximum of two times, a failed attempt will count as an use.
    - Can act out the factional kill.

    Survivor
    - Target yourself at night to vest up, preventing yourself from getting killed.
    - Investigative abilities who can see visits will see the Survivor self target.
    - If Witched, the Survivor will use their ability like normally but seen visiting someone of the Witch's choice.
    - May use the Survivor ability a maximum of two times, a failed attempt will not count as an use.

    Jester
    - When lynched the Jester will randomly kill one of the players who voted for the Jester.

    Executioner
    - Receive a random player name who is a Town. (Will not be Mayor)
    - If the target dies outside of a Lynch, you'll turn to a Jester.

    Witch
    - Target someone during night to make them target someone else, targets are not informed of Witching.
    - Role explanation : Target Bob and force him to target Albert.
    - Targets who have exhaust the action before witching or cannot perform abilities will still visit without using actions.
    - The witch is seen visiting the target they're manipulating.
    - May cause the target to self target and may cause the target to target the Witch.

    Serial Killer
    - Target someone during night to attack them.
    - Any attempted roleblock on the Serial Killer causes the Serial Killer to instead attack the Roleblocker.
    - Can be roleblocked by multiple roleblocks at the same time.
    - Shows up as Town to Sheriffs.
    - Immune to night kills.

    Mayor
    - Write in the chat "-REVEAL" (Specifically red caps and red text) to reveal yourself as the Mayor.
    - After the reveal, the Mayor gains one additional vote and cannot be healed.
    - This is an unique role.

    Sheriff
    - Target someone during night to see if they are Mafia, Neutral or Town.
    - Serial Killers specifically shows up as Town.

    Investigator
    - Target someone at night to gain a clue about their role.

    Detective
    - Target someone during night to see who they visited.

    Lookout
    - Target someone during night to see who they were visited by.
    - Can self target.

    Doctor
    - Target someone during night to heal the target, preventing them from getting killed by a single attack.
    - The target is informed of "Attacked and Healed" should they be attacked and healed.

    Escort
    - Target someone at night to roleblock them.
    - Targets are not informed.
    - The Escort is informed of who they roleblocked, or if they failed.
    - Can not make a Last Will.

    Bodyguard
    - Target someone during night to protect the target.
    - Target is informed of being protected if the Bodyguard successfully uses their action.
    - If someone attacks the protected target, both you and the attacker will instead be killed.
    - Cannot be healed.

    Bus Driver
    - Target two players during night to swap their position for targeting parameters.
    - Can include self as one of the targets.
    - Targets are informed of being Bus Driven.
    - Investigatives who can see visits will see Bus Driver visit their first named target. (Target bob, seen visiting Bob)
    - Role explanation : Switch Bob & Albert, attacks on Bob are instead on Albert.

    Vigilante
    - Target someone during night to attack them.
    - Has a limit of two sucessful attacks.
    - Cannot attack during Night 1.

    Citizen
    - Have the power in the vote.


    Order of Operations :
    1. Bus Driving (can be targeted for roleblock before bus driving)
    2. Roleblock
    3. Witching
    4. Vest, Protect, Heal and Janitor
    5. All kills
    6. Investigation abilities


    Investigation Pairings :
    • Killer : Mafioso, Executioner, Serial Killer, Vigilante, Bodyguard.
    • Shady : Agent, Consort, Witch, Escort, Bus Driver, Detective, Lookout.
    • Charismatic : Godfather, Survivor, Jester, Doctor, Mayor, Citizen.
    • Informative : Consigliere, Janitor, Sheriff, Investigator.


    Win Condition :
    • Mafia : Defeat the Town and Serial Killer, at least one Mafia must be alive. Wins in a tie situation versus Town.
    • Town : Defeat the Mafia, Witch and Serial Killer, at least one Town must be alive. Wins when there's no remaining opponents.
    • Serial Killer : Be alive and defeat the Town and Mafia. Wins in a tie situation versus anyone.
    • Witch : Defeat the Town. Wins together with the Mafia. Wins in a tie situation versus Town.
    • Survivor : Be alive when the game ends, can win with any faction.
    • Jester : Get lynched in order to win, the game will continue even if Jester achieved a win.
    • Executioner : Get your target lynched in order to win, the game will continue even if Executioner achieved a win.


    Mechanics :
    • The day lasts 48 hours and the night lasts 24 hours, a desynch may happen by an early lynch.
    • At day alive players may discuss while at night no one talks.
    • Game starts at Day 1 with Lynch enabled.
    • The Mafia shares a night chat together and know the identity of eachothers.
    • Last Wills are allowed, a message that's posted to the public after their death.
    • When someone dies (by lynch or night kill), their role and faction are revealed.
    • Kills are identical.
    • Suicide is not allowed.


    Lynching :
    • During day players are voted up for a lynch, when the person is lynched they will die.
    • In order to lynch someone, a majority of alive players must vote for them using the [VOTE] command and their exact name.
    • Majority is 51% which means 50% +1 or if it's a decimal (5.5) it's rounded up. 10 players means 6 votes needed to lynch.

    1. Mayors can be healed before revealing. The reveal is what cause them to lose the ability to be healed.
    2. Yes. I'll add in that.

    Edit : Also fixed BD, they can self target too.
    Edit 2 : Fixed a flavor on Mayor to make it easier to see.

    The Executioner winning solo is kinda cheap so that's out, the Executioner staying after win will just troll the balance of the game since he won anyway.

    The alternative is adding in "must survive to the end" win condition.

    Requiring an Executioner to lynch his target and survive until the end without night immunity is sadistic -- it's basically a Survivor with a harder win-con and no vests. Your first proposal was better.

    Before I write any changes, I'll ask of your thoughts first.




    Witch wincondition seems unfair : I agree that the win condition seems unfair.
    It seems like a free pass however if the Witch get killed and the Mafia survives based on good play with no help from the Witch.
    Should the Witch be able to win with the Mafia in death, but loses if the Mafia are dead with the Witch being still alive?




    Roleblockers informing their targets may confirm Consort's targets as Town and clear Escorts: This is a clear problem.
    When a Serial Killer is roleblocked, they will instead kill the roleblocker. This stacks, multiple roleblockers will be killed.
    Concern : Serial killer should have a counter on Escort/Consort putting a LW.



    A solution to all this :
    Roleblockers will instead be informed of who they successfully targeted, or if they failed. (This part can be easily removed)
    Target is not informed of roleblocks, roles that get feedback however will not receive their intended feedback when blocked.
    Roleblockers in addition can't make a Last Will.






    Concern : SK is too easy to find by a Sheriff.
    Agreed, they will show up as Town specifically to Sheriffs unless framed.





    Concern : Executioner with Immunity to night kills are too easy.
    Agreed, they will lose their Night Immunity.



    As for the rules, they're posted on the Signups for easy read and will be posted on the OP of the game thread.

    Rules :


    • No persistent lurking and inactivity, host decides if a player is acting too lurkish or if they're being too inactive.
    • No overly excessive fluff and non-serious material, some may work out but not too much. Day 1 may be forgiven.
    • No Out of Game communications (Skype, private message, other threads, omegle, et cetera)
    • No editing and deleting of posts.
    • Do not screenshot private messages.
    • Do not directly quote the host PM's.
    • Do not gamethrow, you are to play your win condition.
    • No personal attacks.
    • Videos are only allowed in spoilers. [Spoiler=Video]
    • Images are allowed as long they're not too big.
    • Write in english so players may understand you.
    • Follow the forum rules.
    • Do not threaten to break any of the rules.
    • Please make a proper /Sign or /Reserve to enter the signups, don't be vague or "maybe".

    I wonder if the pairings are fine for investigators.
