You missed the insanity that was the first run of this game, lol. you would have enjoyed it. I replaced Mikecall as the Super TPR and everyone wanted to lynch me based on Mike digging himself into a hole beforehand.

Yeah, my hope is that the redo of this game will result in better play all around by people. Let's just call the first game a trial run.

For future setups, I would suggest that you slightly more standard setups, and start doing changes one at a time; maybe using a single custom role on a game, then adding another for the next game, or mixing it with a special mechanic, so you get to see how the different things affect the game's balance and style, that way you can use your games as testing ground from new roles and mechanics without risking the whole thing becoming a mess because every single character on it is an experimental role paired with a mechanic you've never tried before.

Balancing an untested mafia setup is a very difficult task, and more so if you use custom roles like you are doing. Not that it is a bad thing -I love custom roles and mechanics-, but it is something that is pretty much impossible to do correctly if you make a setup full of custom roles and mechanics as your very first one.

One thing I usually do when trying to balance my setups is sitting back and pretending I get one oof the roles, then figuring out the most gamey, overpowered strategy to win with that role and the information and abilities I would get access to. Then I repeat that with every role until I'm sure there's no way for someone to abuse it. Of course, this is way easier with open setups, but a semi-open with a couple of hidden like on this setup shouldn't be much harder.

but I wanted to set a challenge with my first sfm
I think I almost achieved that
