Is this working as intended?

Pretty specific scenario but here goes:

escort visits vet
BG on escort
BG dies in duel but vet doesn't despite not being healed.

Working as intended? I thought vet should die too. In fact I believe it used to be the case way back when.

Vet on alert has attack immunity. If the BG died in a duel its likely the BG did not have the option to pierce immunity turned on which cause the vet to survive assuming no other healing or attacks were made.

Basically, only Arsonist Burns Kill this guy while on alert, everything else will bounce right off!
Including Bodyguard (With pierce immunity or not)

This could also be true. We messed around with Veteran a lot when it was being implemented including a full rework and I can't remember all of it's exact interactions. I'll go mess around with it sometime to confirm either way

Ok... but I fail to see how BG is a direct attack though. Anyways thanks for the replies I was just curious.
