It's an option that the host can enable or disable. My opinion is that an Executioner without night immunity is overly difficult to win as -- there's just too much chance of being killed early and your wincon is very dependent on the right set of circumstances. It's not as if most players believe a Night 1 lead in the current meta anyway so you usually have to wait some time before springing your claim.

Because he can die when his target dies.

Executioner should have EITHER 1: night immunity and die when his target dies, or 2: no immunity and become a Jester when his target dies.

Or, you can go for the OP Executioner setup -- night immunity, wins when his target is lynched, and turns into a Jester when his target dies. A very fun role to play with those settings, lol.

That is exactly the setup I use for executioner in my save. And if u not be like day 2 (playernumber) is (evilrole) and yeah get outed as exe u win most of the time. While witch feels so much harder. First of all it's really hard to make to sure other evil roles recognize u. Then u must convince them u will not troll them. And you are not night immune

Related to the topic of Witches and Jesters.

The witches power is enough to stand alone as a neutral evil. It can act as a deceptive role, an investigative (via killing using witching), and a killing role (forcing vigilantes to kill, forcing people to visit confirmed veteran, forcing scum killers to kill).

Regarding Executioner - most games outside of the SC2 Mod do not allow executioner night immunity from attacks. There is an option for exec to be immune on/off. The main draw to exec being night immune is the lack of night actions coupled with a task that seems very one-off. What I mean if, exec usually has one chance to get his lynch choice pushed through. After that he is discredited. The second draw is if a killer attacks the exec, they can frame the exec as a night immune opposing scum. Personally, I don't like the night immune exec, but that's why there's the option.

Agreed with Frog here, specifically the second part. If the Town becomes convinced you are an Exec, you're done sans conversion to Jester -- they are never going to believe another thing you say, and you're basically depending on scum gaining a majority and sympathy lynching your target vs. night killing him. You really have one shot to time your allegation or to convince the Town to lynch on your behalf. Once you fail to convince them, it's not getting any better because you are going to have to try to put the same target up that already avoided being trialed or lynched.

So I agree with you to the point that as exe you only have one shot. But since you are "confirmed" exe if you fail town will rather not lynch you very soon cause you are no real thread but as a vote. As soon as your target dies at night you are "confirmed" jester and the chances you are getting lynchd are like 0%. So I know you are meant to become a Jester because if you target dies n1 u never had a chance. But what about letting exe become a Survivor instead. Or even better make it optional when you create a save.
