Game will not be following a story lol
These aren't the actual known roles to be in the game, just examples of what role cards could look like right?

I could give a fuck about RP accuracy amongst houses. :-P

I was just speculating about setup.

    House A wins with B&C
    House B wins with A&D
    House C wins with A&E
    House D wins with B&F
    House E wins with C&F
    House F wins with D&E

Each house has a unique advantage so buddying with a particular house will be advantageous at different points in the game.

The issue with buddying is that it exposes yourself. Which if you do so early it'll be an insta-lynch or night kill.

I see two factions having large voting bases as their unique advantage, so that would discourage an otherwise lynch friendly "Rambo" type set-up.

The issue with the lynch friendly, no alliance claim setup is it makes it difficult for the one OP evil killer (White Walker) to play well. It'll create a lurker true evil with almost no incentive to contribute.

As it stands, I can see:
    *edit*I remembered it's a 30 player game*
    2 Houses of 2 members
    2 Houses of 3 members
    2 Houses of 9 members
1 neut (Jester to discourage lynch friendly setup?)
    1 true evil

I can see the importance of inter-house night chats, last wills, journalists.

Should be a very fun game.

I hope I'm free when it starts.

I really like the journals idea.

I hope there are enough communication roles.

Maybe even a crier type role for one big house vs. a mayor type role for another big house.

    *edit* Is FM host secret?

They are just possible roles. All 125 rolecards will be shown once the setup is revealed.

Host is not secret, I think everyone knows who I am.

What do people want to know next? I will reveal anything except the actual setup itself. Like specific Rolecards, another House, Win Conditions, ect.

Are there any Neutral or Evil classes with no particular alliances to the houses?
E.g. Wins with all or none of the Houses?

If so, can you give us some examples, particularly for the evil roles?

I have some ideas on cult severely adding to the complexity of the game.

The final revision of the setup does not have any unaligned players. I considered it at first, but thought this would be better for balance to have as many slots dedicated to houses.

Yeah, I thought this would make the most sense as well.
    ============================

    Just some pre-game strategy thoughts.

I wonder how it'll go down in say a private 3 person room.
    1 player House A
    1 player House B
    1 player House C

If it's early game, would there be incentive for B&C to work together even though they're unaligned? (Except for House A alliance.)

If you're the last of house F, would the other houses ignore you to focus on weakening stronger houses?

Do you think this will be an aggressive or passive game?
I can see there's a 50% chance of correct lynch D1, greater still if you're not too concerned about a particular ally or you know your Housemates. This almost random aggressive lynch train will continue until there's some imbalance and one particular team is recognized as strong. In comes the buddying aspect of the game at that point.

I'm more interested in figuring out if aggressive players will hunt roles or houses.

I think the necromancer may not be the witch doctor/cult creator that you were hoping for.

The alchemist may be like Firebringer's researcher from S-FM terminator, which is cool, because it can limit mass KPN if alchemist keeps making guns/fire balls. (1 kill every other night)

If I have the setup right, there will be an emphasis on teaming. In a lynch friendly set-up, this teaming/alliance-forging can really only happen with communication type roles.

I'm looking forward to seeing journalists, architects, neighborizers, jailors, criers. Hopefully one for each team, but especially for Houses whose unique advantage is limited to just size of the House- e.g. House Targaryen

Is there some type of unique communication role?

    Re: FM XXV

I think I figured out the mysterious identity of our next FM host.

Let me show you how I figured it out first:

    1) The person is a obvious shit poster.
That limits it down to a few options: Cryptonic
    2) The person likes GoT.
This one doesn't limit it down, but we know Cryptonic likes GoT.
    3) The person obviously is Cryptonic in his post styles.

    Conclusion:

    ITS ME!!!
Don't pet growlithe, he will bite you.

If you stay with this game I can promise you that their will be a lot of gamebreaking mechanics and easy win conditions that can be accomplished in the span of 2 in game days.

I am glad you brought it up.

You see for too long Masons have been infecting Cultist chats in our SFMs. Sadly their is no easy solution.
So what we decided to do was give them each the same Win Condition.

We think this will alleviate the problems as far as those two being rude to each other at night. Balance wise it will help because now the town has to kill masons also!!!

After my experience in Illuminati, I support any change designed to motivate the Town to target Masons. This is exactly why you're a part of the FM hosting team, Fire.

Lawl; least realistic part of the FM. Goal should be to have all the worst shit possible happen to them all game long. xD
