One of the pro's of having moderators is that they can kick excessive lagers. However, few people are going to want to waste there time reporting lagers, and its unfair to put someone on to the KL just because there having internet problems for that particular day.

If people are trying to cheat by intentionally lagging, I believe that it would count as cheating, and be a punishable offence.

It's not even that, its the fact that they're lagging just to slow down the game and make other players leave because of the unplayability

It's kind of unfair to judge someone based on their internet, if they lag intentionally to annoy people, then I say it should be an offense. But if it's by accident, just no.. Just leave and join a game with less lag.

"Lag trolls" as i like to call them. pull plug for a few moments, replug *repeat for 5 mins*

while yes i dont think its fair to those who really are having connection problems. but there are some people who do it intentionally just to slow down the game. not necessarily to cheat, but just to annoy everyone else. its espically bad when your trying to type out a defense or accusation, because it dosent keep up with every letter, so it takes a while and is exceptionally frustrating.

i dont see this type of behavior of "lag" in any other custom map other then mafia. so either there's something about the mafia map that dislikes some peoples internet, or they just trolling.

I haven't seen anyone excessively lag in a game and not eventually drop. Nor have a seen any repeat offenders, I know they are out there, but are very few in comparison.

As a moderator, I'm more concerned about any cheaters using the lag chat to ruin the game.

Just because they cause an annoyance doesn't mean they deserve to be kicked. Personally, I think banning anyone for any reason from playing a custom game is an insanely unjustified abuse of power. It's part of the game, the only people who have the right to ban/kick others is Blizzard, we don't have any say.
