    There's two factions versus eachothers (Mafia & Triad) and a City versus them, only one of three Factions may win.
    In addition, each Faction member are also given a Role that's part of either True Scum, Neutrals and Town!


    The rules are simple. There's a Faction and there's a Role with an assigned Faction.
    The only ones who can win is the Faction, in which then must focus on their Role win condition.

    Example : Neutral Killer in the Mafia faction can only with with the Mafia Win Condition and afterwards it's Neutral Killer Win Condition.
    This means that the Neutral Killer has to eleminate the Faction Triad and kill the roles of all Non-Neutrals.
    This also means that neither of the Neutral Killers can win with eachothers.



    Start of Night 0 :
    • Everyone receives a Faction Card & Role Card.
    • Mafia receives a night chat with all Mafia members.
    • Triad receives a night chat with all Triad members.



    Start of Day 1 :
    • The Traitor among the Mafia / Triad will be informed that they're the traitor.
    • Neighbours will gain a night chat of their own with eachothers.
    • True Scum will gain a night chat of their own with eachothers.





    Special Notes & Clarification :
    • There's a Traitor in each faction of Mafia and Triad, belonging to the other but in the other night chat.
    • There's only one Neutral Evil and one Neutral Benign.
    • Everyone in the nightchats are anonymous and it's up to them if they want to share identity.
    • One True Scum will have a permanent Night Kill Immunity.
    • There will be two confirmed Neutral Killers in the setup, there won't be 0 / 1 / 3, only 2.
    • Upon death, both Faction and Role will be displayed. (Example : Mafia - Serial Killer)
    • There's no Factional Kills in this setup, except for True Scum when both Neutral Killers are dead.





    Role Cards :

    Spoiler : Role List :
    Serial Killer :
    • Target a player at night to attack them, informed if an attack fails.
    • Has a permanent Night Immunity that only works against the other neutral killer.
    • Will kill Roleblockers that's not of their own Faction.



    Arsonist :
    • Target a player at night to douse them, they are informed of this.
    • May instead of dousing, ignite the previously doused players to burn.
    • In situation of two Arsonists, only their douses counts, not the other Arsonist's douses.
    • In situation of two Arsonists, if one Arsonist dies, then yes the other Arsonist's douses counts.
    • Has a permanent Night Immunity that only works against the other neutral killer.
    • Immune to Roleblockers, informed about attempted roleblocks.



    Mass Murderer :
    • Target a player at night to perform a Kill Spree at their location.
    • When causing mortal injury to more than one, they are forced on a cool down and can't act for two nights.
    • Immune targets can't receive injury and thus it does not count for amount of injuries.
    • Has a permanent Night Immunity that only works against the other neutral killer.





    Evil Witch :
    • Target a player at night to make them target another player in the same night.
    • May target self to move to a different location.
    • May cause self targets.
    • May cause non-visiting roles to move to a different location.
    • May cause target to target the Witch.
    • Targets are not informed of witching.



    Evil Doctor :
    • Target a player at night to protect them from a single attack.
    • Will learn their Role upon a successful healing.



    Evil Drug Dealer :
    • Target a player at night to prevent them from gaining night feedback.



    Evil Framer :
    • Target a player at night to frame them, showing as Guilty (Triad / Mafia) and Role Alignments of scum.
    • May additionally opt-in the ability to make non-Town targets show as innocent (City) and Role Alignment of Town.





    Benign Jester :
    • Target a player at night to grant them the Annoyance night feedback.
    • Must be lynched in order to win.



    Benign Executioner :
    • Receive a random player name at the start of Day 1.
    • Must lynch the named player in order to win.
    • Upon failure, receive a new player name and lynch that one instead to win.



    Benign Amnesiac :
    • Target a dead player at night to become their role.
    • Changing role will not change Faction (Mafia, Triad, Town).
    • Cannot become a killing role.
    • Immune to Roleblockers, informed about attempted roleblocks.
    • Must win as the new Role & Alignment when changing role, otherwise survive until the end.



    Benign Survivor :
    • Has two automatic protections that's used automatically upon being attacked.
    • A single automatic protection will vanish upon being visited by 5 different players.
    • Protection : become immune to all attacks. Informed of being attacked.





    True Scum Investigator :
    • Target a player at night to get informed of their Role Alignments.



    True Scum Framer :
    • Target a player at night to frame them, showing as Guilty (Triad / Mafia) and Role Alignments of scum.



    True Scum Agent :
    • Target a player at night to get informed of who they visited and were visited by.



    True Scum Roleblocker :
    • Target a player at night to roleblock them.
    • Players are informed of roleblocks.
    • Are not informed of roleblocking immune players.



    True Scum Bus Driver :
    • Target two players at night to swap their positions. They are informed of this.
    • The first named player is Target 1, Target 2 may be manipulated by Witch.
    • May self target.



    True Scum Janitor :
    • Target a player at night to clean their Role & Faction (???) if they are killed the same night.
    • Are only informed of what Role they were.



    True Scum Survivor :
    • Has two automatic protections that's used automatically upon being attacked.
    • A single automatic protection will vanish upon being visited by 5 different players.
    • Protection : become immune to all attacks. Informed of being attacked.



    True Scum Doctor :
    • Target another True Scum player at night to protect them from a single attack.
    • Neither are informed of healing.



    True Scum Spy :
    • At night, decide either Mafia, Triad or Neighbour.
    • Will receive a full transcript of that night's nightchat of the chosen faction.
    • They may only do it twice and after acting once, they can't act the following night.





    Town Sheriff :
    • Target a player at night to get informed if they're Innocent (City) or Guilty (Triad & Mafia).



    Town Investigator :
    • Target a player at night to get informed of their Role Alignments.



    Town Detective :
    • Target a player at night to get informed of who they visited.



    Town Lookout :
    • Target a player at night to get informed of who they were visited by.



    Town Dreamer :
    • At the start of each day they're given three names. At least one of them are scum.



    Town Spy :
    • At the start of each day they're given player names.
    • All these player names were visited by either True Scum, Neutral Evil or Neutral Killer.
    • Are not informed specifically of which of the three it is.



    Town Doctor :
    • Target a player at night to protect them from a single attack.
    • Target is informed of being healed, but not the Doctor.



    Town Roleblocker :
    • Target a player at night to roleblock them.
    • Players are informed of roleblocks.
    • Are not informed of roleblocking immune players.



    Town Bus Driver :
    • Target two players at night to swap their positions. They're informed of this.
    • The first named player is Target 1, Target 2 may be manipulated by Witch.
    • May self target.



    Town Neighbour :
    • Shares a nightchat with all other Town Neighbours.



    Town Citizen :
    • Has the power of the vote.

    Order of Operations :

    Faction Win Condition :
    • Mafia must eleminate the Triad.
    • Triad must eleminate the Mafia.
    • City must eleminate both the Triad and the Mafia.

    Alternative Win Condition for City : Defeat the traitors in Mafia & Triad factions and have at least 1 Citizen in the game alive.



    Role Win Condition :
    • Neutral Killers must defeat all Non-Neutral players.
    • Neutral Evil must defeat all Town.
    • Neutral Benign must do their role win condition (in rolecard) or survive to the end if not specified.
    • True Scum must defeat the Neutral Killers and the Town.
    • Town must defeat the True Scum, Neutral Killers and Neutral Evil.

    Note : The game will not end until two win conditions have been met by the same player(s), with exception of certain Neutral Benign roles.
    The game does not end if a Neutral Benign wins.




    Base Mechanics :
    • This game starts at Night 0.
    • Lynches require 51% (half of players +1 or rounded up if there's a decimal) to hammer.
    • Days last 48 hours, or 24 hours if there's an early lynch.
    • Nights last 24 hours.
    • Suicide is not possible.




    Rules :
    1. Show adequate amount of activity each day and night.
    2. Do not copypaste the night chats, you may still write your own version of each post.
    3. Follow the official FM Rules. (Click Me)
    4. No special codes to confirm your identity in night chat and day chat.

    Mafia & Triad primarily are rivals of eachothers. Town on the other hand require to kill off both of them.
    That makes it twisted : M&T can somewhat ignore Town, Town can somewhat ignore pressure from M&T.

    Mafia & Triad has nightchat of their respective faction, Town has the most Scum and TPR.

    Since there's two win conditions, one for factions and one for roles, while requiring a player to have two win conditions, it's harder than it looks at first glance.



    Do you think it requires a change?

    Town Veteran (Does not pierce immunity, becomes immune, infinite alert until someone dies by the Vet)
    Town Apprentice Detective (Will randomly use a Detective or Lookout ability when targeting someone)
    Town Bad Electrician (Will instead charge target)

    Roles :
    Investigator checks what alignment target is.
    Bus Driver switches 2 targets of choice.
    Doctor makes sure target does not die that night.
    Electrician is immune to charging, and will single target players to remove charges.




    Mechanic :
    Each day the town may secondarily vote (in blue) who shall take action.
    This player will be able to perform an action if the vote is 51%+.
    In addition, players may vote in PM each day, the same deal.
    This allows a 2nd player to perform an action.
    EVIL know eachothers but do not share night chat, random Electro and the SK will act each night.

    All EVIL roles and RANDOM will be cleaned of their role and LW.

    Goal (Game ends upon a victory) :
    Godfather wins by killing everyone or have majority of votes.
    Jester wins by getting lynched.
    Town wins by defeating the Godfather.

    All other actions occur at the same time parallell to eachothers.



    Mechanics & Rules :
    Votes are requires to be in the [Vote] code.
    Lynches require 51% of the votes (half rounded up).
    Days and Nights last 24 real hours.
    Lynches ends the day, the remaining time is added to extend the night to keep the 24H schedule.
    Follow the general forum rules.
    Do not Out-Of-Game communication like PM, Skype, AIM, ICQ, etc.
    No hidden messages like invisible ink and invisibility coding.

    - * Lynching earlier than the first 24 hours of the day will cut 24 hours of the day (for an earlier night).
    - Votes are required using the [vote] code.
    - Mafia night chat are in Quicktopic.
    - Mafia cannot kill unless they receive a gun.
    - Players can't leave a last will.



    Rules :
    - No editing or deleting of posts.
    - No videos, except if it's a link in a spoiler.
    - No out of game communications like PM, Skype, etc.

    Pro Arsonist :
    Automatically douse a random player that isn't Arsonist and Jester.
    May instead of automatically dousing, ignite and burn all previously doused players.
    Each Arsonist has their individual dousing, meaning that the Arsonist won't ignite the other Arsonist's douse victims.
    If one Arsonist ignites then all douses in the game vanishes.
    Arsonist is informed who is Doused, Doused is also informed.
    If one Arsonist is roleblocked, the other is also roleblocked.

    Jester :
    Target someone at night to give them the Annoy feedback.

    Sheriff / Insane Sheriff :
    Target someone at night to receive Town / Guilty feedback.
    Insane will have the received feedback reversed.

    Detective / Insane Detective :
    Target someone at night to receive "X visited Y" feedback.
    Insane will receive a randomly generated false feedback.

    Doctor :
    Target someone at night to prevent them from being killed during fire that night.

    Pro Arsonists must die, or both Arsonists being in a tie situation with Town.
    Jester must be lynched before an Arsonist has been lynched.

    Survivor :
    - Has infinite amount of protection.

    M&T Roleblocker :
    - Target a player at night to roleblock them.
    - Can't roleblock the next night.

    M&T Detective :
    - Target a player at night to stalk them and see who that player targeted.
    - Can't stalk the next night.

    M&T Bad Jailor :
    - Target a player at day to have them come to prison at night, sharing night chat.
    - This doesn't roleblock and protect them. It's simply a night chat.

    M&T Neighbour :
    - At start of Day 1, become a neighbour to another Mafia or Triad sharing a night chat.
    - Doesn't have any specific powers other than that, both neighbours are the Neighbour role.

    M&T Coroner :
    - Target a dead player at night to learn of who they were targeted by.
    - It will display every named player with unspecified times.
    - Can't check a dead player the next night.

    M&T Zealot :
    - Immune to Cultist conversion.
    - Doesn't have any specific powers other than that.





    Game Mechanic :
    Three of each faction at the start shares a Night Chat with their faction during Night Zero, no one can act.
    Start of Day 1, everyone loses their Night Chat and a single random Mafia and Triad becomes a Cultist and Joker, another pair of Mafia & Triad becomes Survivor.



    Win Condition (Only one condition must be met, only one faction [or Mafia & Triad together] may win):
    - Failing a Win Condition (E.G a Mafia lynching a Triad) will prevent them from winning that way.
    - If either Mafia or Triad has the only remaining win condition to defeat the other faction, the game won't end.

    Mafia
    - Defeat the Cult and Joker, have two or more Mafia remaining.
    - Defeat the Triad, Joker and the Cult.
    - Defeat the Cult and Joker, have not a single Triad get lynched.

    Triad :
    - Defeat the Cult and Joker, have two or more Triad remaining.
    - Defeat the Mafia, Joker and the Cult.
    - Defeat the Cult and Joker, have not a single Mafia get lynched.

    Survivor :
    - Survive to the end and don't die.

    Cult :
    - Have Majority of the votes.
    - Defeat the Joker and either Mafia or Triad.

    Joker :
    - Defeat the Mafia and Triad.
    - Defeat the Cult and Survivors.
    - Have three successful bounty lynches in a row.

    3. Mafia & Triad
    4. Survivor

    If Mafia or Triad failed both Win Conditions that allows them to win together, neither will win

    The Jester may decide at the start of game to always show as Town, or always as Mafia.

    Based Sheriff :
    Each start of night has the Sheriff change between Sane and Insane.
    The change is in a pattern : Sane, Insane, Sane / Insane, Sane, Insane.
    They don't know that they're sane or insane.
    Sane : Target one each night to see if they're Mafia or Town.
    Insane : Target one each night to see if they're Mafia or Town, but reverse.

    Detective :
    Target one at night to see who the target has visited.

    Escort :
    Target one at night to roleblock the target, preventing them from acting.



    Game Mechanics :
    Mafia may pick a victim at night, if it's a Jester then they'll be killed.
    Each day has a Forced Lynch.
    Players may talk at all times : Days are lynch days, Nights are action nights.


    Win Condition :
    Mafia must lynch all the town or night kill 2x Jesters in order to win.
    Town must lynch the Mafia in order to win.
    Jesters must be lynched in order to win.



    Game Concept :
    This is a game in which the Jesters want to blend in with the town to avoid getting night killed.
    It's a game in which the Mafia wants to blend in and lynch all of the town, without a night kill against town.
    Mafia has to avoid getting the Town to lynch the Jester due to the secondary option of win condition.
    Town will have to fully cooperate.

    The traitors only have access to the assigned chats, E.G Mafia Traitor (who's actually a Triad) only has access to the Mafia chat.

    Triad needs to eleminate the Mafia.
    Ergo, having a single Traitor on each faction causes them to be vary on who to suspect and who to trust.

    Oh that's good then. The True Scum helps balance. Plus, the abridged setup will help keep it balanced.

    Removed "W.I.P" status, I consider the setup finished unless some change are needed.

    Added a Faction & Alignment Card list, fixed roles, expanded upon the ideal difference of Faction and Roles, added a Mechanics list, added Rules, added Feedback list, added Order of Operations, rewrote the setup explanation and what happens in the start of game, changed the Special Notes and added Clarification to it, made it generally easier to read.

    Tell me if there's anything that needs to be changed or fixed.

    As for Traitors outing the factions, it depends. First, let's look at how the setup works :
    • There's 1 Neighbour of each faction, making it a neighbourhood of 3. They should know who is in each Faction.
    • There's one traitor of each faction of Mafia and Triad, but only they know that they're the Traitor.
    • There's one neutral in either Mafia & Triad, and there's two in the one who didn't start with just one neutral.
    • Each nightchat is Anonymous, there might be a liar there.



    Would it be worth the risk to out themselves this information? It's more likely that the Neighbours, or even the faction to out themselves.

    The Traitors are there for the sake of deception and to know what the other team is up to, conspiring against them.
    There's a lot of paranoia involving them.

    The winners are those who can achieve two winconditions at the same time.

    Town - Mafia, would have to eleminate the Triad, Neutral Evil, Neutral Killer and True Scum.

    Since there's a maximum of 5 winners only, I should probably change the setup a bit.

    If I changed City to only require defeating one of the two other factions, they would just out that faction and sweep them through the floor.
    Need to figure out a way to do this, without making it ridiculous.

    I'd like there to be a maximum of at least 9 winners.

    Suggestions?

    I'm adding an Alternative Win Condition only for the City.

    City : Defeat the traitors in Mafia & Triad factions and have at least 1 Citizen in the game alive.



    Since there's 3 Citizen, they're very easy to kill off. That makes them far more valuable.

    I'm pondering upon the idea of adding a role that will change Factions.
