    S-FM Flexibility Setup

    Ok guys, I think it's time for my hosting premiere, though it will probably take a very long time to make it through the queue.
    Here is the setup I thought of.

    Rolecards

    Town
    Spoiler : Town :

    Town Master:
    - each night you may choose a role from the following pool, adopting the corresponding action and invest category:
    * Master Blacksmith (vest only)
    * Master of Guarding (Master Bodyguard)
    * Master of Bus Driving
    * Master Coroner
    * Master Detective
    * Master of Healing (Master Doctor)
    * Master of Escorting
    * Master of Investigating
    * Master of Jailing (with optional execution, must be chosen at day)
    * Master Lookout
    * Master Sheriff
    * Master Veteran
    * Master Vigilante

    - Restriction: You may only use each option once, however in n4 you will be able to reload any charge (you can only reload n4 but you can reload for later use). Also if you choose to execute, your Vigi charge will be used too and if you use your Vigi charge your execution will be used (you can then still jail once without execution)
    - if not stated differently, role options are the same as the equivalent roles
    - will have invest pairing 6 if nothing is done

    Blacksmith:
    - each night you may -give vest or -give gun to a player
    - vest will be a manual one use vest
    - gun is one use and can be used alongside the regular night action
    - you are limited to 2 guns
    - you may not target yourself
    - target is informed of getting items

    Bodyguard:
    - each night you may -protect a player and if the player is attacked, you will fight off their attacker, which will kill you and the attacker
    - your target is informed if it is attacked
    - you are informed if your target is attacked
    - you cannot protect from arsonist burnings, executions, Jester grief
    - is informed if attacker doesn't die

    Bus Driver:
    - each night you may -swap 2 players, swapping their positions which will redirect all night actions to the other player
    - targets are informed of swap
    - you may target yourself

    Citizen:
    - you may only vote and contribute in day chat

    Coroner:
    - each night you may -autopsy a player, learning their role, last will and last target
    - you may target living players but will only get a result if they die in the same night

    Detective:
    - each night you may -track a player, learning who they visit
    - if you track a Bus Driver, you will receive one of the targets (random) unless one of the targets is the Bus Driver himself, then you receive the other target
    - if you track a Coroner or Amnesiac, it will seem like they visited no one
    - you can see Jailor/Kidnapper visiting their captive

    Doctor:
    - each night you may -heal a player, protecting them from attacks
    - you are notified if your target is attacked
    - target will be notified if attacked
    - you can also heal Arsonist burnings, Jester suicides, Veteran attacks, executions, Bodyguards, Bodyguard kills
    - if you die, your night actions won't go through

    Escort:
    - each night you may -roleblock a player, blocking their night action
    - you are not immune to roleblocks
    - target will be informed of roleblock

    Investigator:
    - each night you may -investigate a player, learning their invest category (in that same night if it's a master)
    - you may not choose any target twice (this is not affected by any redirections)

    Jailor:
    - at day you may -jail a target, dragging them into jail
    - you will share a night chat with the target for the following night
    - you may -execute a target, you have 2 charges
    - jailing is a perfect roleblock and gives total night immunity
    - target will be notified if it is attacked by someone else
    - execution pierces any vests and is not affected by Bodyguard but can be healed by Doctor (you will be notified if that happens)
    - only one can jail a target at any time (priority: Town Master > Mafia Master > Jailor)
    - will work despite lynch

    Lookout:
    - each night you may -watch a player, learning all players that visited them
    - you will see a Jailor/Kidnapper visiting their captive

    Sheriff:
    - each night you may -check a player, learning their alignment (ns, Mafia, Arsonist)
    - neutrals apart from Arsonist will appear ns

    Veteran:
    - at night you may -stay on alert in order to kill everyone that visits you in that night
    - if on alert you're immune to Mafia and Vigi kills
    - you are limited to 2 alerts
    - pierces vests
    - you're informed if intruder doesn't die because of healing and you're informed if a Bodyguard attacks you
    - Arsonist can't be shot if he ignites, only when he douses you

    Vigilante:
    - at night you may -shoot a player, in order to take him out
    - you are limited to 2 shots
    - you will be notified if your target survived


    Mafia

    Mafia Master:
    - you share a night chat with the other Mafia Masters
    - each night you may choose a night action from the following pool, also adopting the invest category in brackets []:
    * Master of Acting (appears as target's role in graveyard, but only if she dies in the same night she does this action) [3]
    * Master Agent (learn who your target visited and who visited your target, the team can do this only every second night) [2]
    * Master of Mafia Driving (swap 2 players) [3]
    * Master Consigliere (can learn the target's invest category) [1]
    * Master of Consorting (can roleblock) [4]
    * Master of Framing (can make a target appear as the mafia role he wishes) [1]
    * Master of Killing (does the faction kill, only one per night, is informed if target survives) [5]
    * Master of Kidnapping (can jail, must be chosen at day, only one execution for the whole team) [5]
    * Master of Cleaning (cleans role and lw, will receive lw, 2 cleanings for the whole team but they must be done by 2 different players) [2]
    * Master of Dealing (can fake any feedback) [4]
    * Master of Deception (puts on vest, can choose how to appear to Sheriff, Invests, Lookouts and Detectives without actually visiting anyone, one charge per player) [chosen]

    - Restriction: Every player can do the same action only 2 times in a row, then he has to perform a different one (exception is the kill if only one mafia member is left).
    - role options are the same as equivalent town roles if not stated differently
    - will have invest pairing 6 if no action is done

    Neutrals
    Spoiler : Neutrals :

    Amnesiac:
    - at night you may -remember a player in the graveyard to become his role
    - you will get the target's power (full charges, including night chat) and inherit their win condition
    - role will be revealed to public
    - win condition: you cannot win unless remembering

    Arsonist:
    - each night you may -douse a player or -ignite in order to kill all previously doused players
    - you have one auto vest
    - targets are not informed of dousing
    - igniting ignores Bodyguards, but not Docs or vests
    - you are informed who you really doused
    - win condition: eliminate everyone and survive to the end

    Executioner:
    - target is completely random
    - you have one manual vest
    - you will suicide if your target is killed at night
    - win condition: see your target lynched

    Jester:
    - you may -visit someone each night, which will do nothing, not even informing the target
    - random voter dies if you're hammered (pierces vests, ignores Bodyguard but can be healed)
    - win condition: get lynched

    Student:
    - at night you may -choose player master in order to become his apprentice
    - you will share a night chat with your master
    - if your master dies you will become his role and get his power (including night chat) and win condition
    - win condition: see your master win or inherit his win condition (cannot win without choosing master)

    Survivor:
    - at night you may -use vest to put on a one use vest this night
    - you have 2 manual vests
    - win condition: survive

    Witch:
    - each night you may -witch a player to a player
    - you may cause self targets
    - targets are not informed of witching
    - you may also choose the night action your target should do, if it is a master (one for mafia and one for town), or choose none to use the one the master chose
    - restrictions: may not choose Vigilante, Veteran or Jailor for Town Master and Killer or Kidnapper for Mafia Master (though Vigilante and Mafia Killer can still be redirected if chose by themselves and you choose nothing)
    - will not affect blacksmith guns, unless your target has no other night action
    - if you witch a Jailor/Kidnapper, he will execute and will only execute if you witch him onto his captive
    - win condition: see the town lose and survive




    Invest categories
    1) Sheriff, Investigator, Executioner, Master
    2) Detective, Lookout, Coroner, Amnesiac, Master
    3) Doctor, Bus Driver, Arsonist, Master
    4) Escort, Bodyguard, Student, Master
    5) Veteran, Vigilante, Jailor, Blacksmith, Witch, Master
    6) Citizen, Jester, Survivor, Master


    Win conditions

    Town: Eliminate the Mafia and all neutrals that cannot win with town and have at least one player remaining
    Mafia: Eliminate the Town and have at least one player remaining or have nothing left that could prevent you from achieving this
    Neutrals: See rolecards


    Order of Operations

    0.1 Jailing

    1. Survivor uses vest (+1)
    2. Veteran Alert (-1)
    3. Bus drives (affected by 4 and 5)
    4. Witch manipulation (affected by 5)
    5. Roleblocks
    6. Detective/Lookout/Agent (can see 0.1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and actions after 6)
    7. Blacksmith items
    8. Framer/Master of Deception
    9. Investigations
    10. Bodyguard protects (+1 for protected, -1 for bg and -1 for attacker)
    11. Acting
    12. Kills (-1), douses and burns (-1), Jester griefs (-1), Jailor execution (-1)

    14. Drugs

    16. Coroner
    17. Amnesiac, Student



    Mechanics

    The vote tags are used, votes are void if the system doesn't catch them.
    Day/Night length is 24h.
    Game starts at n0 to allow discussion for Mafia but no night actions and then proceeds to d1 lynch day.
    Everyone may leave last wills and Mafia/Arsonist may leave deathnotes.
    Lynching will end the day but not necessarily start the night.
    Exact death cause will be revealed.



    Rules


    1) No outside of game discussion.
    No PMs, no REP, no visitor msgs, no skype, etc.
    No discussion about the game at all, as long as it's ongoing. This includes discussion with ppl that aren't playing.

    2) Replacements/Modkills:
    Replacements: A player will be warned, if he doesn't post at least once any day and will have to give a summary of the day. If he fails to do so before the next day starts or if it happens again, he will be replaced. Replacements will also instantly happen, if a night action is not submitted (you can still skip the action if you want to by pming the host about it).
    Modkills will only happen if a player didn't post at all for 2 days or didn't submit 2 night actions or one of each.
    This will be strictly enforced, no matter which faction.
    Mafia may submit actions for their team mates (which can be overridden by themselves), but this player will still be penalized if he doesn't write in night chat.

    3) No editing or deleting posts (includes night chats)

    4) You can and are recommended to pm your thoughts to the host, I will enjoy reading them.

    5) Posting style:
    Images - Permitted but no screenshots from night chats/host mails
    Videos - Permitted only without autoplay
    Links - Only links to this forum are allowed (or night chat forum in night chats)
    Invisible Ink - Prohibited
    Language - other languages than english are disallowed
    Text hidden inside votes or bb codes - Prohibited

    6) All night actions must be sent to the host or posted in the night chat in red color at least 1h before the day starts (ends for some roles). Otherwise they may be skipped and the player will receive the afk penalty (see above).

    7) Questions will only be answered if they are in green or via pm to the host.

    8) Gamethrowing is of course strictly prohibited. If it's a strategy pm the host.

    9) Quoting from nightchat is allowed, but you may not reveal nightchat account names or nightchat website.

    10) Violating the rules will lead to modkill, replacement or warning, depending on severity.



    Special Mechanics

    The masters have mastered everything there is to master in this world.
    All masters can choose the role they want to be in each night (or day in some cases). They can then use the actions of that role and will appear as that role to investigators. There are some restrictions however. For detailed information see the role cards.
    The goal of this game is, to figure out which night action the mafia would use (especially if they are investigated), in order to find them and take them out.
    Also the mafia has to be careful about their fake claims, because an invest could catch the lie.

    At the very beginning there were 4 friends who lived in the town. Their goal was to master all professions there are in this town and so they did, after years of training. The rest of the town didn't even know who they were, because they tried to stay low. But then 2 of them felt the power they had gained from all this know-how. And they decided to use it against the town. However the other two masters did not give up on town and were defending it against the evil masters, but they couldn't prevent a lot of town citizens from dying. That's why there are so few townies left by now. Then, during the fights, one of the town sided masters disappeared when the town needed him most. No one knows what happened to him. Who knows if we'll ever see him again? Now the evil masters still hide among the town, in order to wipe out the rest of them. Can the town finally beat them with help of the last master? Or is the town close to annihilation...

    Note: This RP is supposed to tell you that there can be one or no master among the hidden town, in addition to the confirmed one.

    can doctor be healed (doc and master heal)

    investigator:

    if roleblocked will they still use charge?
    can a person be jailed by more then one person in a single night or is it just priority?
    what does jailor show to detective/lookout when executing when not executing?

    veteran:

    have mafia aware that if one picks jailing during day others are notified.
    remove master from the invest catagories and move arson to citizen pairing

    remove master from the invest catagories and move arson to citizen pairing master must be in every pairing, because depending on his choice he could be anything. removing it would change nothing, it's just there to make it clear for the invest that it could be a master using that role. why change arsonist pairing?

    how i see it is if you put arson and gets investigated, he is forced into a corner of claiming vet or possible vigilante. jailor and armoe are self proveable. but it would be

    vigilant: shoot X, X is alive next day, could say night immune but would only get so far
    vet: ok alert, someone vists and doesnt die, could say didnt alert but would prob not work

    putting it in citizen paring (or even the bg or doc pairing) allows it that if they get tracked they can fake claim something else

    tl;dr variation: if arson gets investigated he gets screwed in that current pairing


    althought this is just my take on it for balencing purpouse
