    S-FM HP:The First Wizarding War

    The RP element to this game is the wizarding war that took place before Voldy tripped over a baby and died.

    Names are not unique roles, rather they are added RP element. The only unique roles are Voldemort, Dumbledore and Snape. There can be multiple players named Quirinus Quirrell, lets say due to the use of a Time Turner.



    Roles:
    Spoiler : Death Eaters :

    Voldemort: You are immune to night death. You are immune to Stupify and Crucio. You may cast Avada Kedavra on a player at night, killing them. You will know if your target is immune to the killing curse. Does not have the Dark Mark.

    Slytherin:
    Lucius Malfoy: You may cast Legilimens on a player at night, learning a clue pertaining to their role. You will replace Voldemort in the event of his death. Has the Dark Mark.
    Bellatrix Lestrange: You may cast the Cruciatus Curse on a player at night, incapacitating them, blocking all of their actions. You will know if your target was immune to Crucio. Has the Dark Mark.
    Antonin Dolohov:: You may cast the Imperius Curse on a player at night to choose the target of their night action. Your target will not realize they were Imperiused the first time you curse them. Your target will realize they were Imperiused the second time you curse them. Players become immune to Imperius after two curses. Has the Dark Mark.
    Peter Pettigrew: You may frame a player at night. Other players that investigate your target that night will believe them to be a Death Eater. Has the Dark Mark.
    Barty Crouch Jr.: You may use a polyjuice potion to change your appearance to that of another player at night. Anyone that targets you on the night you use a polyjuice potion will target your polyjuice target instead. Start with two polyjuice poitions. Has the Dark Mark.

    Without a killing role, a random Death Eater will lose their primary ability and gain the ability to kill a player at night.

    Death Eater night chat is anonymous. Death Eaters are given the names of all players with a Dark Mark and Voldemort at the start of the game. No roles are given. They will not be able to tell the difference between the person playing Snape or any other member of the death eaters.


    Spoiler : Magical England :

    Albus Dumbledore: During the day you may reveal yourself to be Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot. After you reveal, you will have 3 votes for day time lynches. Being the noble hero that you are, once revealed you will not allow Poppy to devote any healing to you at night.
    Severus Snape: You have access to the Death Eater night chat and you will appear to be a Death Eater to the other Death Eaters. You will not know the targets Death Eaters each night. You will not know the identity of the Death Eaters. Has the dark mark.

    Ravenclaw:
    Quirinus Quirrell: You may cast Legilimens on a player at night, learning a clue pertaining to their role.
    Amelia Bones: You may check a player for the dark mark at night revealing whether or not they are a Death Eater. You will know if your target is a dementor.
    Sybill Telawney: You may cast divination on a player at night, revealing their target that night.
    Xenophilius Lovegood: You may place a ward at player's house at night, you will see all players that target your target that night.

    Gryffindor:
    Mad-Eye Moody: You may go on alert at night. On a night that you go on alert, you will kill everyone that visits your house. Your constant vigilance allows you to ignore night immunity. You are immune to night death on nights you go on alert. You will be informed of everyone who visits your house on nights you go on alert. You may only go on alert 3 times.
    Minerva McGonagall: You may protect another player at night. If another would attack your target, you will force them to duel you. You and the attacker will both die but the player you protect will survive.
    Gideon Prewett: You may cast Avada Kedavra on a player at night, killing them. You may only cast the killing curse twice. You will know if your target is immune to the killing curse.

    Hufflepuff:
    Poppy Pomfrey: At night, you may use your advanced healing magic to resurrect one player so long as they died on the night you targeted them. You will know if your target needed resurrecting.
    Alice Longbottom: You may cast Stupefy at a player at night, stunning them and blocking their action. You will know if your target was immune to stupefy.
    Stan the Knight Bus Conductor: You may swap the locations of two players at night. Your targets will not know they were swapped.
    Frank Longbottom: You may protect another player at night. If another would attack your target, you will force them to duel you. You and the attacker will both die but the player you protect will survive.


    Spoiler : Magical Creatures :

    Dementor: You are immune to night death. You may kiss a player at night, killing them. If you are targeted by a Crucio or Stupify you will kill the caster instead of your original target. You will know if your target is immune to the Dementor's kiss. Wins ties with the death eaters.
    Boggart: You may visit a player at night you will frighten them(they will be informed of your visit) but it will allow you to become the investigative pairing of your choosing for the night. You do not have the dark mark and will not appear to be a Death Eater to Amelia Bones. If lynched you will kill the last person to visit you at night. The last person to submit a night action will be killed if multiple people target you in the same name. This can not be healed through.
    Griphook the Goblin: A member of Magical England has the sword of Godric Gryffindor. He is a thief, in possession of goblin property. See that wizard lynched for the crime of theft. If your target dies at night the killer will be assumed to have taken possession of the sword(becomes the new target).
    Ghost: You are a soul unbound to a body. Despite this fact, avada kedavra can destroy you and a dementor can eat you. You may resist them though sheer force of will but your will is not without limit. You may make yourself immune to destruction for a night on three separate nights.
    House-Elf: By the end of the second night you must choose a master. His goals are your goals. If he is killed you may use the same magic as him for the rest of the game. After your masters death you will appear to investigators as your master would. Your master if informed of your allegiance. If you choose a member of the Death Eaters as your master you will gain access to their night chat.


    Win Conditions:
    Death Eaters: Defeat Magical England and the Dementor
    Magical England: Defeat the Death Eaters and the Dementor
    Dementor: Kill all wizards.
    Boggart: Frighten everyone else enough to be lynched during the day.
    Griphook the Goblin: See your target lynched during the day.
    Ghost: "Survive" until the end of the game.
    House-Elf: Your goal is the same as your master. If you do not choose a master by the end of night two you lose. If your masters team wins after you die, you will win.

    Game Rules:

    Game will start on D1 with no lynch
    Days will be 24 hours
    Nights will be 24 hours
    No out of game communication
    English only.
    No editing posts
    No screenshots of pms
    Submit night actions in a private message to the host
    Use the vote tag system for lynch votes, lynch occurs at 51%.
    Night Actions must be submitted 1 hour before the end of the night.

    All players may create a Pensieve at any time by sending a private message with the subject "Pensieve" to the host. At the time of their death, the body of the last created Pensieve PM will be made public.

    You are completely unable to grasp your target's mind, your target is either Dumbledore, Voldemort, Sybill Telawny or a Ghost

    Your target has an Occlumency barrier up, your target is either Lucius Malfoy, Quirinus Quirrell, Amelia Bones or Griphook the Goblin.

    By entering your targets mind you feel extremely paranoid, your target could be Peter Pettigrew, Xenophilus Lovegood, Mad-Eye Moody or a Dementor

    Your target is someone with intense loyalty, your target is either Bellatrix Lestrange, one of the Longbottoms, Minerva McGonagall or a House-Elf

    Your target is very interested in the actions of others, your target is either Gideon Prewett, Antonin Dolohov, Stan the Knight Bus Conductor or a Boggart

    Your target is skilled with potions, your target is either Severus Snape, Poppy Pomfrey or Barty Crouch Jr.


    Sheriff suspicious:
    Your target has the dark mark.
    Player being Imperioused a second time:
    You realize too late that you are under the effects of the Imperious Curse. This is surely not this first time it was cast on you. You plan to fortify your mind to future attacks. You will not be controlled again.

    My thought is it would be difficult to test who is snape based on the knowledge of the player list without giving Snape info to put in his last will upon his discovery.

    I feel like Snape as a normal spy would make more sense, but Snape actually being in the night chat would be more interesting and make the game more fun overall (playing as spy can be kinda boring).

    Can the Mafia target other Mafia members for kills? Might be needed if they figure out who Snape is.

    Will players be notified if they were attacked & healed?
    No possible Citizens? With confirmed Mayor and Snape preventing the Mafia from coordinating and planning, you may want to revise this choice or change the ratio of scum:town.

    My suggestion would be to make a choice between Hidden Neutral or Hidden Slytherin, but take away Snape's ability to see who the Mafia targeted. It's OP, it can clear too many people. Also, I think you should remove some of the Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff slots on the roleslist and replace it with Random House. Scum is going to have a hard time hiding without Citizens, so I think the roleslist should be more vague. It gives them more room to hide. I think having a confirmed Mayor is fine.

    Updated: Changed all but one of each of the 3 houses to a random house. Removed 1 random house and replaced it with a non-killing neutral. Added 4 possible non-killing neutrals, updated goals and legilmancy feedbacks. Snape can no longer see mafia targets.
