    The Roles Emporium: Collector's Edition

    This thread's goal is to list each and every role ever placed into a Forum Mafia game, from S-FMs to FMs. This shall benefit both Hosts and Players alike as they search for inspiration for their setups or strategies.

    Let Us Begin:

    Spoiler : Mafia Roles :

    Actress
    Visit one person each night and mimic their habits.
    If sent for the kill, the actress will still mimic the target she was sent to kill.
    Mimicking someone’s habits means she will appear as that role upon both death and to investigative results.
    May visit no one to release habits previously mimicked.
    [Consigliere]
    Will investigate 1 player each night and receive their exact role/investigative pairing.
    Does not promote to GodFather.
    [Consort]
    May roleblock any player at night.
    Target will get PM saying: "You were roleblocked!"
    Dirty Sleuth
    You may target someone each night and view their Last Will.
    You may change someone's last will for the night (Host Discretion)
    You may have limited charges of these abilities (Host Discretion)
    Disguiser
    Visit a person at night and attempt to disguise yourself as the target.
    The target’s role may/may not be revealed to the town. (Host Discretion)
    Drug Dealer
    Visit one person each night and drug the target.

    Drugs Generally Available For Use

    Enforcer
    Each night you may target a player each night and prevent their role from changing/also can be used to remove immunities from a player for a night. (Host Discretion)
    This can prevent Citizens from becoming Masons
    This can prevent Citizens from becoming Cultists
    This can prevent an Amnesiac from remembering a role
    This can prevent a Student taking his mentor's role
    Fabricator
    May change the mafia kill to show as a different death description.
    [Framer]
    May frame 1 player each night, sheriff will get a "mafia" result if he visits the same player.
    Some setups allow Framer to choose his framing method.
    Some setups allow Framer to target teammates to frame them as Town
    [GodFather]
    Leader of the Mafia, may override night actions.
    Immune to detection.
    Not immune to death by town.
    Can only kill if he is the last mafia alive.
    Grave Robber
    Visit one corpse each night and steal their ability.
    Will have one charge of the ability to use the following night/day.
    The next night the Grave Robber may choose to steal an ability again.
    May not steal an ability from one corpse more than one time.
    May have a limited charge for stealing abilities
    Janitor
    Visit one person each night.
    If the target is killed, you may either erase all information of that target or forge a last will.
    Can target teammates.
    Lawyer
    Once per night, you may target a player and change their last will.
    [Mafioso]
    Sent to kill each night.
    If Godfather is dead and there is no killing role for the mafia one Mafia PR shall be converted into a Mafioso
    Thief
    Steals a role ability/item from a target, and uses it the next night.
    May keep items even after steal others
    Traitor
    Wants to overthrow the Godfather and take his place as leader of the mafia.
    Cannot win with the Godfather alive.
    Ventriloquist
    Role One: You will receive a smurf account. You can use both accounts in Day chat, but your main anonymous account only in night chat. Your smurf can be killed, but has a unique investigator/sheriff description. If the you dies, your smurf will die. If your smurf dies, nothing happens to you. In addition, your smurf's vote will not count for voting purposes (Host Discretion). You have no night action, but you can still perform kills for your team.

    Role Two: You may target one player each night to take control of, their account, and speak/vote for them during the day.



    Spoiler : Town Roles :

    Architect
    During the day you may select two members of the town to speak to at night. You will be anonymous to them, but they will know who each other are.
    Armoursmith
    Each night you may give a player some armour. This is a vest which can be used to prevent a single attack.

    [Blacksmith]

    May give 1 vest or 1 one shot gun to a player at night.
    Target will get PM saying: "You received a one shot Gun!" or "You received a vest!"
    Items can be used in addition to the persons role action.
    Body Double
    Take a hit for a player.
    Can not be healed when saving
    [Bodyguard]
    Will guard 1 player each night. If that player is attacked, he will kill the attacker as well as die in the duel unless healed. (Host Discretion)
    Kills will be described as "Killed by the Bodyguard".(Host Discretion)
    Bus Driver
    Visit two people each night and switch their location.
    Targets are notified of being bus driven.(Host Discretion)
    [Citizen]
    The most important role! Your vote are important!
    Coroner
    Visit one corpse each night.
    Will get exact role and the real last will.
    Will be given the corpses last target.(Host Discretion)
    Crier
    Can speak to everyone during the night phase
    Detective
    Track a player's movements each night, seeing who they visited.
    [Doctor]
    Will heal 1 player each night.
    Is informed if player is attacked.
    PM will read: "Your target was attacked, but you healed his wounds."
    Enchantress
    Visit two people each night.
    Manipulate one target to use their night action on yourself.
    Repel one target from using a night action on yourself.
    Repelled targets will be notified they were repelled if successful repelling occurs.
    The Enchantress will also be notified of successful repelling.
    The night action will then be randomized to another person.
    Target is notified if he/she is lured.
    [Escort]
    May roleblock any player at night.
    Target will get PM saying: "You were roleblocked!"
    Gossip
    Silence someone
    Immune to Silencing and Ventriloquist/Puppeteer
    Gunsmith
    At night you may give a gun to another player. That gun may be used by the player to shoot one person.
    Hitman
    You may choose a client during the day asking them for a job. As soon as the command is ordered, the to-be client can either accept or decline. If accepted, the client is roleblocked during night but he will pick a person for the you to kill. You are not immune at night.
    Investigator
    Visit one person each night and get their investigative pairing.
    [Jailor]
    During the day, may choose to jail a player for that night. Then he may release or execute his captive during the night.
    May not jail after a lynch (Host Discretion)
    Unlimited executions. (Host Discretion)
    Jailed player will be roleblocked and will be immune to outside attacks.
    Cannot jail if there was a lynch.
    Cannot execute if Roleblocked.
    Immune to Witch. (Host Discretion)
    Kills will be described as "Executed by the Jailor".(Host Discretion)
    Journalist
    May target a player each night and acquire a report from them
    May add a reply to the report given.
    These reports/reply are posted upon the opening of the day.
    [Lookout]
    Will watch 1 player each night and will be notified of all other visitors.
    Cannot see Jailor or Jailee.
    Mime
    Use a buffed version of a player’s role on them, then silence self the next day
    Mason Leader
    Can recruit Citizens into Masons
    May have a limited charge of recruitments
    Mason
    Recruited into Mason chat
    Knows who other Masons and Mason Leader are
    May replace Mason Leader
    Matchmaker
    Match two players. Actions done to one will effect both
    Can match self
    Mayor
    Reveal to confirm self and allow for multi-votes.
    Votes count for 3 (Host Discretion)
    May be healed(Host Discretion)
    Keeps votes in Cult(Host Discretion)
    Naive Sheriff/Corrupt Sheriff/Insane Sheriff
    A sheriff with distorted findings. Naive Sheriff thinks everyone is innocent, Corrupt Sheriff thinks everyone is guilty, Insane Sheriff sees guilty people as innocent and vice versa.
    Nurse
    Visit one person each night and inject them with adrenaline.
    The target will be able to target 2 targets the following night.
    An additional charge will be deducted from the target if they are charge based.
    Targets are notified of injection.(Host Discretion)
    Shaman
    Manipulate a dead player for a night.
    May not use killing roles more than once
    [Sheriff]
    Checks 1 player each night to see if he is part of the Mafia or Evil Neutrals.
    Feedback PMs will say:
    "(targets name) is part of the Town."
    "(targets name) is part of the Mafia."
    "(targets name) is Evil." (Host Discretion)
    Snitch
    Reveal the hidden evil roles if killed
    May reveal Mafia roles
    May reveal Evil Power roles
    Spy
    Can hear mafia chat (Host Discretion)
    Can see mafia targets (Host Discretion)
    Can hear Private Messages (Host Discretion)
    Veteran
    Go on alert at night and attempt to kill all intruders.
    Does not pierce immunity or healing.(Host Discretion)
    Can go on alert 3 times. (Host Discretion)
    [Vigilante]
    May kill 1 player each night.
    Unlimited shots.
    May shoot night 1.
    Kills will be described as "Killed by the Vigilante". (Host Discretion)


    Spoiler : Evil Neutral Roles :
    Acolyte
    He has no night actions until he joins the cult. Once he has joined the cult he can be sent out to kill. If the cult leader is killed before the acolyte is converted, the acolyte will turn into a jester.
    Abductor
    During the day, can choose a player to abduct.
    Abductor and his target gain an anonymous night chat that night.
    Target is perfectly roleblocked and night immune.
    Target can't participate in chat the following day. Votes required to lynch are reduced as if one player went missing from the chat.
    Arms Dealer
    Can give someone a gun and/or armour at night, decided by the host. Wins with all factions other than Town
    [Arsonist]
    You may choose to leave a note with each doused player stating demands, plans, or other dastardly, bastardly things. Target is not notified that they are doused unless you decides to leave a note. (Host Discretion)
    Immune at nig(Host Discretion)
    Each night you can douse a player with gasoline. You may choose to ignite all doused players at night. (Host Discretion)
    Burning ignores immunity.(Host Discretion)
    Burning will make the person unrecognizable to the public, his account id will not be revealed until an autopsie is performed. (Host Discretion)
    If you ignite someone curently jailed, the fire spreads and all inmates die. (jailor survives) (Host Discretion)
    If you target someone already doused, that person becomes undoused. (Host Discretion)
    If you don't target anyone at all, you may choose to undouse whoever you want and as many as you want. (Host Discretion)
    Chairman
    Each night he can invite someone to join the Secret Club. He can also choose to put a fake participant into the Secret Club instead. The Chairman is invulnerable at night and appears as a citizen to investigators. The chairman moves to invite a target. He doesn't move when he is adding a fake name. Wins when the majority of all living players are apart of the Secret Club.
    [Cult Leader]
    Immune to RoleBlocking.(Host Discretion)
    Cannot be the one Killing.(Host Discretion)
    You are the leader of the cult. You can recruit one member per night.
    Trying to recruit a mason will inform the masons of the Cult Leaders name.
    Cult can only have a max of 5 members at any given time.(Host Discretion)
    Immune at Night (Host Discretion)
    [Cult Member]
    New recruits keep their non killing powers.(Host Discretion)
    Once the cult has 4 members, they may vote to kill someone. Person doing the killing can't do any other powers.(Host Discretion)
    33+% of cult die if Cult Leader Dies.(Host Discretion)
    Devourer
    During the day he chooses someone to devour. Nothing prevents devouring.
    His victim will be able to talk to the devourer during the night. The devourer can choose to digest or regurgitate his victim at the end of the night or he can keep his victim ingested.
    If he chooses to regurgitate his victim, his victim will be released at the start of the next day.
    If he chooses to digest his victim, his victim will be killed, ignoring all immunities. The only thing that will appear in the graveyard is ???, indicating that someone has been digested.
    The devourer and his victim can talk with each other secretly during the day and night.
    If the devourer is lynched his victim will be cut out of him and will survive. If the devourer is attacked at night his victim would take the bullet and die instead of him. If the devourer is blocked he will be forced to regurgitate his victim.
    (Electro Maniac)
    Visit one person each night and plant a bomb on them/charge them
    If two charged/bomb carriers target each other they both die.
    Healing does not remove the bomb/charge.(Host Discretion)
    Immune at Night. (Host Discretion)
    Evil Smith
    Target one each night, giving them a Gun.
    The target must use the received gun otherwise they'll be cursed to suicide.
    Follower
    Chosen by a Hidden Neutral Killer during day 1.
    Has night chat with neutral killer starting from night 1.
    Can choose a neutral killing role when master dies.
    Ghost
    Upon death you may take control of a live person's night actions.
    Your goal is to see that person’s team lose.
    You will lose if you are not killed.
    You will lose if the possessed player’s team wins.
    Hunter
    Target one person at night
    You will kill the one who was visited by your target
    Detective tracks you to visit the target you chose, not the one you attacked (same for Lookout)
    Attacks don't ignore immunity or healing
    If the target you chose doesn't visit anyone, you kill your target
    Has night immunity
    Infestor
    Take a host during the day
    Learns the roles that visit his host
    Host gains immunity the night of capture
    May speak 1-way with his host
    May take any host on night 1
    Must take Town or Benign on night 2
    Host take is randomized on night 3
    If Infestor does not successfully take a Host on night 3 he will die.
    Jester King
    You are the King of Jesters your goal is to drive the town to insanity
    Each night you may vist someone and annoy them turning them into jester
    If you visit the sheriff or doctor you will be notified of their role
    You will be informed of failed Jesterfication
    limits to 3 jesterings (Host Discretion)
    visting the sheriff will cause his next night investigation to be flipped, can only be done once (King will be informed of sheriff change)
    you can annoy someone each night and can vist self for annoyance (has no affect)
    you may post notes each night to be published(Host Discretion)

    Joker
    May announce a bounty has been placed on X player. If X is not lynched or killed within 2 days the Joker may kill 2 other people and pick his target again. Wins if he survives and Town loses. Has one auto-vest.
    Killer Agent
    Is recruitable by Masons/Cultist
    Can Kill once a night
    Immune at night(Host Discretion)
    Magician
    Put a magical wall around a target
    Those that target your target reverse and act on themselves
    Those that target you instead effect your target
    Your target may act on you without misdirection
    Prisoner
    Win ties against Citizens (Host Discretion)
    Has 1-use self Lookout
    Ravager
    Can ravage someone every other night to kill them and take one charge of their ability. He cannot ravage someone and use an ability on the same night.
    If he kills a doctor he will be able to heal himself or someone else.
    If he kills a bodyguard he will be able to guard himself or someone else.
    If he kills a veteran he will be able to go on alert.
    If he kills an armoursmith he will receive a one use vest.
    If he kills a gunsmith he will receive a one shot gun.
    If he kills a SK / mafioso he will be able to kill someone.
    If he kills a ravager he will be able to ravage someone.
    If he kills a fabricator he will be able to kill someone from any source he chooses.
    If he kills a spree killer he will be able to kill anyone who visits his target.
    If he kills an arsonist he will be able to incinerate everyone who has been doused.
    If he kills a mason leader he will learn the identities of the masons.
    If he kills a cult leader he will learn the identities of the cult.
    If he kills a survivor he receives a vest.
    If he kills a student he learns the identity and role of his mentor.
    If he kills an actress he can choose a person to act as and will appear as his target's role to investigators.
    If he kills a citizen, an amnesiac or a ghost he receives no ability.
    He can use kill modifiers at the same time as his kill, e.g. janitor's clean, lawyer's change last will.
    Wins alone.
    [Serial Killer]
    Kills each night.
    Kills will be described as "Killed by the SK".(Host Discretion)
    May kill Roleblockers who target him (His Discretion)
    Soul Thief
    Steals someones soul, giving you the powers of their role and giving them the awesome abilities of a citizen. Both the soul thief and their victim's alignment remains the same. This ability may only be used once, however if you try and steal the soul of a citizen you will still be able to try and steal someone else's soul.
    Wins alone.
    [Spree Killer]
    Immune at night (Host Discretion)
    Each night, you can visit any home and kill everyone who visited that target that night. If your target has targeted someone else, they will not be at home.
    May have a cooldown between sprees of two or more deaths (Host Discretion)
    Toxicologist
    Silence a target with poison.
    Victims may speak at any time and die the next night
    Doctor heals on night of poison, or second night will prevent death
    Doctor heals can not heal a person if they speak
    [Witch]
    Controls a player to target someone of his choice.
    Cannot make target target self.(Host Discretion)
    Witch cannot force a player to use an item, but if a gun is used, witch can change it's target.
    Target is informed that a witch visited him.(Host Discretion)
    Target will get PM saying: "A witch controlled you last night!"(Host Discretion)

    You may choose a role in the graveyard and take on their abilities and win condition.
    May be immune to Roleblocking as an Amnesiac. (Host Discretion)
    [Executioner]
    Becomes Jester if target is killed outside lynching, host choice.
    Target is always town, host choice.
    Must survive to the end, host choice
    Immune at night, host choice
    [Jester]
    If lynched, 1/3 of remaining citizens will die at night chosen by random.org (Host Discretion)
    Players will die regardless if they voted against the jester or not. (Host Discretion)
    If the Jester is the only scum remaining, game will end with Town Victory. (Host Discretion)
    Jester does not visit at night. (Host Discretion)
    Ninja
    Each night, you can steal the abilities of a person. When you successfully steal an ability from your target, their night ability will be permanently added to your command list. The following nights, you can choose either to steal again or use one of your newly inherited abilities. Wins with everyone.
    Skyper
    Can choose a person to be his ally and send a message to him. That person will be his ally for the rest of the game. Skyper does not know his ally's role. His goal it to help his ally's faction to win.
    [Student]
    Target a player to make him your mentor (Can choose mentor at any point in game day or night). Your role is revealed to the mentor. Immune to roleblocking. (Host Discretion)
    Can only chat at night with mentor.
    Help your mentor win the game through his victory conditions. If the mentor dies, you take on his role, and victory conditions.(Host Discretion)
    [Survivor]
    You must survive.
    You may have a limited charge of immunity vests (Host Discretion)

    You forgot to mention Killer Agent/Infiltrator, he is another good role that is worth a shot.

    Is usually a killing role, either lone killer or a part of a faction (depending on the setup), but the primary trait of this role is that he can feign his allegiance to any cult/mason/rebel group that tries to recruit him, only to backstab then later.

    Alignment: Evil Neutral (Non-Killing)

    If Sould of the Beast fulfills its victory condition, the game ends instantly with all other factions losing the game (Benign neutrals such as Jester do not apply if they have already won).
