Not me. (If I get in a deathstreak I feel the rage, but I hold it, anyways) Plus I'm good at CoD. Never played BF before, though.

I am heartily in an agreement with you Doctective, truly I am. However there are the insistence, of which I have been subjugated to, of what had before been a relaxed and pleasant conversationalist whom morphed into a belittling child, pron to the infuriating need to "T-Bag" his "Kills" as some sort of personal triumph he must bestow upon the victims, and as such slung upon his fellow players insult, after insult, after insult.
There are several examples of this that cannot be disregarded as rare occurrences and thus excluded from debate. What would be your response to this newly lightened evidence?

t-bagging your kills is not a violent act, it's a trolling act. it's hilarious

Perhaps you missed this phrase within the thread. This would assuredly open up discussion for more than just violent acts.

    Nah, it's not belligerent.
The more you make your opponents rage in games, the more susceptible they are to making future mistakes in said fit of rage, trying to get you back. It's a solid strategy.

Also, you can't blame video games for what kids do. These kids are disturbed, and video games just quicken the escalation process. These kids would probably have become rapists/killers/drug addicts later in life anyways.

Actually, Video Games do make violent children depending on the game and how introvert they become with those certain games.

For example first person games are being made "realistically", which means First Person View, you see your hands, "adrenaline of situations" and et cetera. For young children, they are easier to have an immersion to become the character they play. Unlike third person games where you see a character already with most likely less realism.
This counts for : Shooters, RPGs, Sandbox.

Don't forget that the human brain is strange thing. There's schizophrenia (see things that don't exist), Dissociative identity (Multiple personalities), et cetera. What chance says the children are more likely to build those disorders then adults.

Going to adults, it's more likely for those with mental disorders to be affected by games.

That doesn't mean games DO make people violent, only by the nature of themselves. If they're sane, I doubt they will become violent. However :

Changing the subject, the internet make Children violent. Look at the amount of immature people and trolls, the children are being taugth how to behave like them. Being socially accepted on the internet as a child must be difficult.

As far as I am aware, numerous studies have been done showing that there is no link between video games and violence, although there is a link between video games and heightened agression. Then again, I get madder in traffic than I do even playing DOTA or LoL...

In regards to "monstrous belligerent children", well, that's the fault of the parents imo. A lot of bad parents blame anything except themselves for their problems raising their children.

Also, when I first saw this thread I thought the title said "Ermegerd" Personalities.
And if I die tomorrow, I'd be alright because I believe that after we're gone, the spirit carries on...

Correct. Studies have proved, on multiple occasions, that there is no link between video games and violence. I also haven't seen any studies that link video games to increased aggression, but perhaps they exist and I have simply not seen them.

In fact, studies have shown that twitch shooters (like call of duty) can actually improve reaction time of people who play them frequently. Unrelated to violence/aggression, but still worth mentioning, I think, given that the implication of the "increased violence" argument is "video games are bad" and this study basically responded to that with "LOL NOPE".

Currently the worst argument you could make against video games that might actually hold up to a scientific study, is saying that video games decrease productivity because you're playing them instead of doing homework or whatever (unless you're a video game tester/reviewer/creator or something). But that is also true of every other activity that doesn't involve doing whatever it is you're supposed to be doing.
