    Re: Night 3: Welcome Infiltrator

Hey. Today could have gone better but we're still in with a chance. I'm most worried about the CP9 killing one of you two as you're both out in the open now. There's always the chance I'll be killed as well if the pirates or CP9 are going after town suspects.

We could push on Black Leg Sanji tomorrow. You hopefully gained some trust as Urouge didn't flip citizen so they should listen to what you have to say. I can support you as well. There's a chance Sanji is another pirate but it could be worth the risk as the more pirates are dead the more town will be willing to work with us against the CP9 and even the marines as they know we can only ally with them. Hopefully he's a CP9 though as we need to start reducing their numbers.

While we don't have any investigation results on citizens(?) there's a lot of good citizen candidates to choose from. I'll look through and post my thoughts on recruits later.

Written before I read your post. Why do you think I'm the infiltrator?

    Re: Night 3: Welcome Infiltrator

I was just wondering how you'd respond.

There were a number of people who suggested you looked like town on the first day and I agree with what they said, but it could have been a subtle push to get an infiltrator recruited.

Moria Gecko is more likely an infiltrator though, with his star citizen avatar..

Anyway, it wasn't my intention at all to reveal today and Kidd's confirmation of me made when he was pushed slightly made me cringe. I was absolutely comfortable being found slightly suspicious. It's the only way I ever survive games when I'm actively scum hunting.

I only felt forced to "claim" because I wanted to discourage people believing I was a rebel as much as possible. After like 20 people had already posted, Eustass Kidd said that he was waiting for codes from the scout and the leader. I was probably one of the few non-lurkers that hadn't posted yet, so it would've been really easy for our enemies to add 2 and 2 together and see that I was very likely to be this smart person Eustass kept referring to.

You REALLY need to learn how to conceal the truth man. It's not like we're masons who still win with the majority if we're all dead.

Alright, it's really nice to see a new person in our hideout.

    Now, about players:

Dracule is a piece of shit. He wants to prove investigation result with meta? It's like to prove mathematical axioma with philosophy!!! I don't like this guy.
Since Urogue flipped scum we can doubt about Bonney being Journalist (but still I think she is).
About Infiltrator (READ IT! IMPORTANT!): That Zoro's claim of Journalist (according to the same result bout Urogue) seems a BIT legit, but his will to join rebellion is... well... suspicous. I suggest you to check him for being cit/noncit. If he show up as Citizen, I'm afraid he's the Infiltrator. If not, well, it's for town to choose. I'll try to recruit random but contributive person this night. Let me examine the list to get the chances of recruit.

For this night, let's change our codes:

    Yours:

    "I" - target is Citizen
"N" - target is not Citizen

    Mine:

    "S" - successful recruit
    "F" - failure (no respond)

    Re: Night 3: Welcome Infiltrator

After Straw Luffy's unvote, I consider it even more likely that he's a pirate.

Capone might also be scum trying to look town by unvoting after a bus drive claim, which anyone could fake.

I believed Don Krieg to be a citizen, but he has been buddying with me a lot so I'm not sure if recruiting him is wise.

I would kind of like Mihawk to join us, although I am a bit uneasy with him. I can't put a finger on why.

Zoro is too shifty if you ask me. If he's a citizen (and I'm not convinced that he is), then he actually has a pretty good chance of being lynched. Maybe we should search the other people who were trying to push for a Zoro lynch to find the remaining pirates. I think it's very likely that he was being framed.

Why on earth would you want to change the codes to something that makes sense? It only makes it easier to find it.

I, T, S and Y are also all letters that are really unsuspicious to appear as a starting letter more than once.

I think that Urouge flipping pirate actually confirms her as journalist. I only ever suspected her of being CP9, because they could use a ventriloquist to confirm article posters.

I'm not going to check Zoro because I don't want him on our team. We should let him be the troll that he is, drawing all the attention to himself.

It's not ideal but we can at least have more of an influence in day chat. Interestingly Nami didn't post yesterday. Either she's gone afk (she lurked on day 1) or she's been blackmailed/vented.

As killing comes before recruiting will need to take this into account when choosing who to send to recruit. I don't think any of us are that safe. Town is a bigger threat to the CP9 than the rebels imo but they might want to get rid of the rebels' two main roles while they can.

I'm beginning to wonder if the EM will get any kills this game. It might be worth checking out Caribou or Big Mom, because they likely won't get night killed by anything but the EM and they're quite important in the day chat. It would be good to know if they are recruitable, or not cits so we can use that information against them during the day. Considering Caribou and Big Mom are already casting doubt on each other, if we check one and reveal that they're not citizens, the other will likely try to carry the town for a lynch.

    Re: Night 3: Welcome Infiltrator

I agree with the idea to push for a Sanji lynch tomorrow by the way, unless we get better intel to start a lynch on someone else. Just posting info is not enough. Someone needs to explain why he seems suspicious. I have already made a start with that on day 2, but I'm reluctant to openly start a train together with Kidd. Because if there's any doubt left in peoples' minds that we're rebels together, we should try to keep it that way. I'd rather chime in later if some people already piled a bunch of votes on Sanji so I can interrogate him like a good citizen would.

We should consider that people like Basil will think Sanji isn't a pirate because he voted Urouge out (even though he could have bussed him). Then again, he's probably CP9 anyway, and it makes sense that the rebels would use their intel to lynch CP9 rather than pirates.

Seems plausible. The amount of lurkers like that is really high in this game though, and they can't all be scum.

I think Mihawk or Don would be good choices. Crocodile has slipped completely under my radar so I can't say much about him. While I would like to have Big Mom on the team because of his influence on day chat and I think he's a citizen, I think he could be killed tonight or in the near future by the EM. It's what I would do anyway, especially if he messed up his charge last night.

Don't mention this during the day unless I'm under pressure and I am actually disguised/ventriloquisted.

If neither Caribou nor Big Mom dies tomorrow, I doubt the EM will go for a straight kill at all (if one even exists). So what would you think of checking one of them to see if they are cit/something else?

If they are cit, we could recruit them tomorrow. If not, we will most likely have another opponent to lynch.

So Inazuma, since I think it's safe to assume we can all agree on sending you to recruit...

Please make a code you can use to tell us:
    - if the recruit was successful
    - if you were roleblocked/witched

We don't need a code for no success or town PR, really. We will already know that if we don't see your code for success.

  23. ISO #23

    Re: Night 3: Welcome Infiltrator

if the recruit was successful = I will start my first post with the letter "I".

Is there a reason for me not to claim blocked or witched in day chat? Otherwise I'll just do that. If witched the successful recruit code still applies.

I don't think we should investigate Mom or Caribou. I'm pretty sure Mom is a citizen and they're more likely to die than most. I don't think we can go too wrong with the check as long as it's not on a dead person or someone who will claim the next day. Maybe Capone, Blackbeard, Ace or Luffy would be good.

  24. ISO #24

    Re: Night 3: Welcome Infiltrator

There's a handful of scenarios where a claim might not be made though. Like if you're trying to catch a fake escort claim or catch someone else lying about roleblocked/witching. A code in combination with a claim also makes it a safe bet that you weren't disguised/ventriloquisted.

In most cases a daytime claim should be fine though.

    Re: Night 3: Welcome Infiltrator

Luffy still has a good chance of being pirates imo, so I'd rather not check them. Pirates are thinned out enough for now, so we don't want to pressure them with info if they're not cits.

Ace is a possibility, but he has openly announced his allegiance with rebels so I'm not sure if he'd be valuable as a member.

Capone and Blackbeard are pretty interesting targets to check though, I agree. Or maybe Soul King Brook, who also voted against both Franky and Urouge.

    Re: Night 3: Welcome Infiltrator

Alright, Urouge tried to start trains on Zoro two days in a row. I'm positive that they framed him.

Others who joined the Zoro train on day 2 were:
    Crocodile
    Straw Hat Luffy
    Don Krieg
    Soul King Brook
Capone (quickly unvoted again and voted Mihawk instead, so this guy is definitely not a pirate)

I think I'll investigate Capone or Soul King Brook.

    Re: Night 3: Welcome Infiltrator

I think Soul King Brook has a slightly higher chance of dying tonight because of his voting behavior, but I think he's slightly more likely to be a citizen for exactly that reason. If we look at him as tomorrow's potential recruit, he has left more of a trail that suggests he might be a rebel.

Capone won't die because that last second unvote could be used by someone to call him scummy. His participation in chat is more intelligent than that of Soul King Brook. If we look at him as tomorrow's potential recruit, his position is in day chat is a bit more ambiguous and he could be useful to sway others to our cause without them realizing it.

I'm undecided. I'd like to hear what Tony has to say about these two (he already recommended Capone, but I'd like him to consider Soul King as well)

I slightly prefer Capone, although Soul King would be a good recruit or investigate in the future. I don't think that Capone's unvote protects him that much as lots of other people were doing it in order to extend the day but Capone would be a more useful recruit if he's a citizen. He'd also be good to get rid of if he's part of the CP9.

I'm sticking with I = cit and T = block/witch for my code, by the way.

If Mihawk turns out to be not a citizen, I think he'll be CP9 for trying to get Kidd to confirm me yesterday. But we might not want to put this out in the open just in case he's a PR and accepts the recruit.

It should be pretty clear that Sanji is CP9/Marine, so pressure him as much as you like. Just make sure not all 3 of us do it.

Dude, on day 1 I wrote "I am rebel" with separated letters in my post between ordinary words in invisible text. One guy even quoted that but still noone paid attention.

If you think CP9, pirates and marines will mention everything they spot in day chat, you're wrong. For similar reasons I'm not going to say I think X Drake is the bus driver. Saying it for any other reason than to defend him would be against our winning condition.

Even the town might choose not to mention things they notice about us because they consider us a possible ally and hope noone else sees it.
