Mafia Masters Cup: The Resurrection

IT IS HAPPENING.

On August 25, 2012 at 4:00PM, Pacific Time, at channel Mafia Cup in the Americas server.

Everyone who arrives will participate.


We will all break into private ranked games of Mafia, the number depending on how many people show up. Every group will play three games, one game for each of the three ranked setups. Winners of each game will add up the Ranked Wins they get from those games (1 for town, 3 for serial killer, etc.). After each group finishes their three games, the top 15 players will face off in a final series of four custom setups devised by a moderator. The top two players in overall Ranked Wins from all seven games will be declared the Gold Medal winners. The 3rd and 4th place players will be Silver Medal winners and the 5th and 6th place are Bronze Medal winners.

Prizes
Bronze: +1000 points and VIP status on the forums

Silver: +2000 points and VIP status on the forums, plus 20 reputation

Gold: +3000 points and Respected status on the forums, plus 50 reputation

what happens if i get town 3 matches in a row? and win twice, yet one player wins once as sk?

edit, what happens if 3 ppl get town 3 times in a row and the 1 sk wins, town wins 2x, then the 1 sk would have the most wins to move up, and then 3 ppl would be tied to move up from one game? i just feel it would take a lot more than 3 games to accuratley measure who deserves to move up to the next game. i would be in favor of 10 matches to determine who moves on to the next round and we alternate groups, make them random, i dont want to be playing with the same other 14 people for the same matches.

all in all i just feel 3 games is too little and will entierly be based on who gets killed n1. sheer luck death on night 1 wont save me on the stand, lieing my way thru the sheriffs mafia find > dieing night 1 to sk.

Point-banned and KV/WL/BL can't join because Ranked mode.

And Pacific Time is GMT-8 normally but right now it is GMT-7 because of daylight savings time.

So it will start at 11PM GMT.
