Epic Mafia is truly a competitive mafia atmosphere; I know for sure that after a long streak of Epic Mafia and came back to SC2 Mafia (the map), I wondered why everybody was playing so blatantly stupid.
As I'm sure we all know, there's few things more frustrating in this game than dying on the frst night. After first discovering this game on Starcraft, I fell in love with the idea and searched for other forms of the game, including the original party game etc...
Anyway, at one point I discovered a lot of versions in which a score is kept, players who die on the first night are often given a few additional points, say 5-10, as an apologetic recompense. Though not necessary, I think this would be a good idea for Mafia.

It's definitely weird having someone new the community made mod. The mod staff should be comprised of people who made their mark on the SC2 Mafia community, not through suggestions. The mod position should have been given to one of the veterans here, with Terripax being CONSIDERED for the moderator position (he should at least get to know people here and have DR keep an eye on him).
Maybe DR desperately needed a mod for the EU, but then still I fail to see why he wouldn't give that responsibility to a longtime member.

EDIT: And if he was kicked solely because of some conflict between mod ideologies, I don't see why DR wouldn't give him a second chance.

Hey guys, sorry for the inactivity. I've been too busy during this month; I requested that I be replaced with another player so expect someone else to take my place.
Kony does look like a legitimate troll, and voting him this early does not make sense IMO.
Roschi claims cit and then leaves. People start piling votes on him. I really don't know what to make of that other than I find it really odd that he claimed that early... but then again, could be a pr claiming cit. Dunno. It's a risky ploy, and one I think is too risky for maf.
This is likely my final post before I am replaced so I bid you adieu fellows. Hopefully next time I'll have more time to commit to M-FM.
No clans, no reconnect system ... let's not even mention the really crappy custom map system.
I mean let's face it, WoW gave them endless resources, and they've been working on SC2 for a very long time. Heck it takes me 2 hours to come up with a better map system than they have: Open Games, sortable like the current map browser, but you actually see X/X people and the maps that are open. There can be a really popular map, with 4/8 people waiting inside, but nobody joins because it's not in the first 4 pages of the popularity contest.
I'm a bit of a perfectionist inside, and I grew up with PC games not having a good multiplayer mode, if they had one at all. Now that technology has evolved, and that companies had a lot of time to adept, heck I'd expect at least Blizzard to bring in at least a semi decent Multiplayer platform.
Anyway, this was me ranting. It all goes back to my previous point, by doing idiocy like this, Blizzard are really just screwing themselves.
Regards,
Sir Rogers
I have to agree with Sir Rogers here on the custom game system. I thought the way they did it in Starcraft/Brood War was perfect; people hosting downloaded maps, a "Games" button where people could go to see what games are being hosted, etc. People could host maps that are not as popular and they would still pop out on the list.
This entire "Popularity" system is bullcrap. There are players out there who have different tastes and styles and we are basically forced to conform with popular demand. In Brood War I was introduced to so many maps, because it ran on the classic "just host the map and it will appear on the open games list" system.

I somehow figured out Goremancer was Rebecca Black.
I was dogging on him and Gamefreak on the last day of this game. Gamefreak acted way too scummy imo, so I ruled him out as mafioso. My death RP stated that I told Rebecca to go die in a ditch, which gave me some sort of a hint (although it was useless since I was dead already).

I was talking, and then you came on and hammered me. Nice trying to defend yourself, Doctor Scumbag.
I placed my FoS and my notes so that town could reflect on it, but instead of trying to defend yourself you discredit my evidence simply as "lies". Your explanations for your periodic absences aren't that adequate as well ("Oh I have a life, I can't spend all day on forum mafia", etc etc).
I was still trying to build my evidence and defense when you saw that I was L-1, and jumped straight on to my vote. I was being fossed by some pro-town, so you felt it was both safe AND convenient to get me out of the way.
As for FM X, try guessing. I was one of the bigger noobs in that game, seeing as it was my very first forum mafia game (First forum mafia + 50 players + leveling up roles + playing with veterans = death).
trineroks, explain why you claimed the way you did. Why I hammered Deathfire: There was less than an hour left in that day. I knew that not enough people would be able to get on to vote me, and I personally felt that a no-lynch would've been a bad idea. I was reluctant to vote Deathfire and only did so because there could be no other plausible lynch that day.
He was acting strange, yes, but not enough to the point where it would warrant definite scum in my book. However, it felt like the town was in a state of panic and I was somewhat pressured into making that vote. Turns out that Deathfire was the survivor.

Alright I'm back guys. I don't see how when I post little, I'm labeled as scum, but when CMG does it he is simply a "bored townie".
Anyway, here is my hypothetical list:
Goremancer - Mafia
Gamefreak - Possible Mafia (Neutral edging scum)
Escaho/Mopin - Possible Tormentor
All else - citizens
Why? Because I am a cit, no matter what you guys think of me. My playing may sure as hell put me on the radar because I'm STILL LEARNING. I'm making the transition from SC2/Epicmafia to forum mafia. And believe me, it's not too easy.
CmG I will have to agree seems like a bored townie, but it would be quite hilarious if he turned out scum.
Goremancer keeps pressuring the vote on me and makes me out as the tormentor because of my rather strange cit behavior. My guess is that he's trying to use me as a scapegoat and getting a lynch wasted on me. Gore also asked me if I were really the tormentor. Why? Possibly to avoid wasting a night kill on a potentially auto-vested player and hunt down cits first. Then he could use my words against me and get me lynched the next day. His tunnel fossing, pressure votes, and claiming that "tormentor can win with town" seems like one of many ways to accomplish this.
Gamefreak does not seem like cit at all. Most of his posts are defensive (kind of like mine) but lack any sustenance whatsoever. His explanations for his periodic absences are things such as "I have a life", etc. He insults people who suspect him in the least bit. His voting habits seem to go along with town with barely anything to back them up with (on day three after he was voted by Mopin he proceeds to go on a rant and then votes me out of nowhere). Also seems to jump on the latest train and "goes with the flow".
Escaho/Mopin I think might be tormentor. Why? Escaho because he claimed tormentor's target from the beginning, possibly to avoid being hit by maf under the guise that he would be "jailed", and thus protected from such attacks. Not so much about Mopin though, he feels cit and tormentor at the same time. I have nothing to really back this claim up. The only reason being that his playing strikes me as slightly odd.
Everyone else looks pretty town to me.

I have to say, that death note is probably one of the oddest death notes I've seen. Mafia kills a cit, and leaves a note with (presumably) the name of a fellow mafia member on it.

After rereading the posts, I have to admit Deathfire is sending out some pretty strange pings (especially with that vote on me on the following post after town started voting him)
We still have an hour left in the day. I honestly don't know whether or not I should place my vote in with deathfire yet. Right now he's in the "neutral-edging scum" category for me. Is there any reason why we shouldn't nl? I don't want to be responsible for the death of a possibly controversial cit.

I wish I could make my defense more solid. Seriously, I do.
Reason for my kill speculation on Day 1: I was genuinely pleased that nobody died on night 1. Whereas Dramallama was playing the statistics (which is somewhat of a scumtell), I only congratulated the doc because of the low chance that mafia hit a protected player.
I said above that Dramallama was somewhat scummy, but the reason why I didn't jump on his train was because I felt Kromos was only random lynching. When he flipped scum, I was compelled to trust Kromos's judgement. Perhaps he was a sheriff trying to come off as an active townie.
On Day 2 I jumped aboard sumi's train because Kromos claimed that she was the tormentor. About an hour later I realized that tormentor pops up as NS, but by that time the hammer was already in place so I couldn't do anything about it (I would've changed my vote if it were possible). Sorry Sumi :(
On Day 3 I expressed my remorse at hammering the sheriff, although Escaho thought that was me posting in "self defense" (I always post near the beginning of each day so I don't know why Escaho is nitpicking me on that).
That's really all I can account for my posts. Currently I'm at 4 votes for a lynch, and the hammer is 6.

On Day 2 I jumped aboard sumi's train because Kromos claimed that she was the tormentor. About an hour later I realized that tormentor pops up as NS, but by that time the hammer was already in place so I couldn't do anything about it (I would've changed my vote if it were possible). Sorry Sumi

Welp, at this rate it looks like I'm gunna be lynched. Can't really blame town though, since both power roles are dead and there's nothing but scumhunting left.
Before I die I wanna know; how was I lurking? I guess it's just me, but I prefer to play a little on the observer side, saying things only when real necessary, etc. I should start working on posting a lot more xD.
Well anyway, I'm CITIZEN. Always was and always will be. And as far as I'm concerned, the only real town reading I really got was from Kromos. Gamefreak on the neutral side, Escaho neut/edging scum, and the rest are IDK.
As for Luna, it's alright. There's nothing much the town can really do except random lynch and hope for the best.

LMAO Escaho, I always post near the beginning of each day. Go back and check. It's not new that I posted right after you.

Cit here btw. I just came back from school.
Adding on to what Bork said, I also find it weird how Kromos has been leading the lynches for the past couple of days. The only reason why I don't believe he's scum at this point is because 1. I didn't think mafia would bus so early on in the game and 2. He's keeping a rather "high" profile for maf (trying to draw a night hit? possibly).
Maybe there is some crazy wifom going on underneath the surface, but right now Kromos isn't that high up my scumlist.
I am going to press a role out of you trineroks. You don't seem to be citizen to me. What are people's thoughts? I'm going off now btw.
I think I've been playing forum mafia a bit too much like SC2 Mafia. It's just that I don't know the telltales of scum in forum mafia as well as the hints in SC2 Mafia or EpicMafia. I went along with Kromos because of my newbiness.
That, and along with his successful lynch on day 1 had me convinced that he was the sheriff. But fuck, that cost the town.
