I experienced the same bug/glitch I assume .. It happened on Day 5. I think someone paused the game (don't know if it shows in replay .. haven't watched it yet) .. and the votes started going negative. We all ended up quitting the game.
Just putting this up to help track down the glitch.

Do our bank stats/points transfer across between EU and NA servers? Or do we have to start fresh?
If so, this might be a worthwhile solution, except for the possible language barrier.

Few Replays I haven't watched, but Lys asked that i post them up. Pretty cut and dry.

I have a very close friend that works as a Network Architect for Blizz .. think she manages the Trans-Atlantic lines. But I'll put a call in to her tomorrow to ask if she can point me in the right direction to see if we can't find someone on B.net to help us do something about these trolls.

Thanks for prompt attention. I think Mike was floating around earlier and caught some of them as well. Also in the last 1/2 hour or so there appears to be another group of bots that will keep seeking games on B.net and joining only to get kicked. They are all new b.net accounts with default photos and no ranks. I'll make a separate report for them if needed.

There was a great thread somewhere for storing bank files on OneDrive/Dropbox or some other cloud-based solution so you never have to worry about losing them.
If you can get this resolved, might be a solution worth looking into.

I have little/no programming experience .. but i do have many years of end user migration 6 Sigma/Root Cause Analysis as a Network Engineer and Migrations Project Manager.
Basically .. what this amounts to is I can't do dick for helping with the coding, but be more than thrilled to help with R&D/Test/Troubleshooting for Mafia 2.0 when it gets to that point.
After a few year hiatus, I've been playing again and I really missed it.

It's all any random, followed by named vigilante, mafioso, and jester. I don't remember the other details but I have a replay.
Gentleman with DR's name (possibly THE DR) hosted one just a few minutes ago .. so he may be already on it.
My thought exactly. The coding could be identical to how the rules pop up when you hover over the Role List. Really if its too much of a pain in the ass we will be just fine without it but it would be nice.
I think a pop-up (tooltip) would work rather well .. however IIRC the coding for triggers and whatnot is already pretty heavy on the client (thought it was referenced in another thread for role suggestions) .. I'm not a professional programmer, but implementing something like this would require a lot of memory/etc. and it might not be feasible.
Still a fantastic idea. I support it if it is possible.
I think points should go.
(50 points/winning players)
Town will get 5ish
Mafia will get 16ish
Neutrals get 50 unless they split with other neutrals
I think each group should be allocated 50. Survivors get 2x points.
Thus:
10 town win, 5 died, the 5 survivors get 7, the 5 dead ones get 3 (35 + 15 = 50)
3 mafia win, 2 died, the last one gets 30, the 2 dead get 10 (30 + 20 = 50)
Neutrals divide among winners/surviviors.
Math might require some playing with .. maybe not base 50, or not 2x points for faction survivors.
Pros = reward survivors, people that play well and survive.
Negative = encourages 'won' games to troll other faction members for more points.
I have a friend that's a mathematician .. and he loves mafia. Maybe i'll have him work up some numbers for a proposal. This doesn't take into account difficulty/number of faction members, etc.

At the very least .. what about if not putting it in game UI somewhere, or on role cards .. possibly grouping the icons and/or changing icon colors to differing shades of green/red? Making a "town power" bracket one shade of green across the top, "town core" another, etc. etc. I know some groups overlap, so possibly not viable ..
Alternatively, as a minimum option .. including this information in the help file ingame?

+1 .. at least giving the community the option to warm up to a custom clue variant. Potential positives > possible negatives.
Plus, there's a "No Trial" option that most people miss before the first lynch. This would fall into a similar realm of game options.

+1 .. more information increases chances of more educated players which increases chances of game community getting more skilled.
In a perfect world, but there IS a chance ..

At the very least .. especially if you're thinking of expanding BL .. increase the time you can do it. Tough to type out 6 roles in 15 seconds. An extra 5 seconds would be nice.

Due to the fact that -blacklist and -prefer were implemented in the beginnings of the game, the majority of games nowadays include a lot of random role groups, not to mention that the number of roles in the game have increased quite a bit;
I suggest that we allow up to 3x -blacklist group (Town Random, Neutral Evil, Mafia Random etc.) as well as up to 3 specific roles. Also allow the same option for -prefer.
It will make it easy to outlaw certain role types (I can't stand doctor or escort, so instead of taking up 2x -blacklist spots I can cover both with Town Protective), but not game-breaking so long as it's limited to up to 3 groups in addition to 3 roles.
Plus it'd be a big boost in hunting down those last few elusive roles that you might need to win with between 10 and 20k for all roles or other achievements. =)
Thanks Much
one of the guilty voters... 100% chance... can be healed...
so don't guilty a possible Jester
Unless it's a tactic (like being the only guilty to prove your role through death and disprove someone else's role claim).
Also, BD can't save you. One tried when I was only guilty on a suspected jester (you will swap with another player, but suicide isn't a targetable action that can be redirected, so you'll still die).

Most I've ever seen was MM nabbing 3 in one night (2 doctors and Lookout on declared Mayor) .. So 4 would probably be tough (unless getting lucky on n1 with Red).
I'd make it a 150.
Don't like the Vet/SK brainstorm however. I think each evil role should have 1 special achivement, no one else (and Sk has Jailbreak already, Arson has Disco).

Honeslty .. I've run afoul of Necroplant in the months pre-ban and been victimized by him ..
However .. aside from bragging about "I BOUGHT A NEW ACCOUNT $10 PAYPAL" .. he's actually been pretty well behaved in the 1/2-dozen or so games I've seen him in.
Truth be told .. he would rank no higher than "Mild Possible Troll" in my book at this point, i've seen WAY worse behaved players than the way he's been acting since his return.
Just an FYI .. don't be a hater. People CAN reform.

I say don't reveal role, however bear in mind that unless jury time ends the day, the town can "overrule" the judge's pardon by simply re-voting any candidate right back up.
Was in a game last night .. had the Arsonist up 3 times in one day, got aquitted every time (3-3, 6-6, and 5-5) ..
So it's powerful, but it CAN be trumped by players, depending on day timer. Something to consider. (Unless Pardon skips/ends day .. which would be another possible option).
I'd say limit it to no more than 2 possible. Also no need to announce, he's a one-shot candidate that's worthless afterwards (and in fact, his only use then is as a warm body to town, or a threat to overrule votes - no need to out him as a confirmed town).
Remember .. exposing a role's affiliation is a huge advantage for town. When mayor -votes you know FOR CERTAIN that he's town-aligned, which is an advantage to town (confirm investigators, confirmed town role, etc.) - By exposing him, you add the benefit of having another "THIS GUY IS TOWN" and taking away any potential questions about him.
Also disable self-pardons. Or not .. something to consider.
Be great for endgame town saves when outnumbered though. Or for upsetting/fixing gamethrows. But could be abused for the same (Griefing/Gamethrowing) ..
I like the idea, just needs tweaking/testing.

IIRC, Spy sees everything as a normal mafia member (except with "Mafia" instead of names), so he will see the normal chat for kidnapper and other members.
I don't believe, however, that he'll see the kidnapped person's responses. I may be wrong.
