1) As cool as a standalone SC2Mafia would be, I doubt it would work as well because it would require people to actually find it without the the 'advertising' that the Arcade offers (especially since the F2P Arcade will allow the rare few players who were too poor/cheap/busy to buy SC2 to get their addiction on).
2) Of the options listed, this is the one I would agree with most. Also, I would contend that the sheer circlejerkyness of SC2Mafia can be a turn-off to some players.
3) Wouldn't really add much: not really necessary.
4) Better idea than (3), but still not really a pressing issue.
5) I don't really see why this is on the list: I think that bug cleaning is kinda something that should be done anyways, and it would be much easier to do with a larger playerbase (the issue which prompted this thread).
6) Not really an issue.

If we are to lynch, I highly advise we lynch Clementine. Nick, if you are not paired with Clementine, then this will guarantee you another night of survival and hopefully carry you over to a point where we can deal with the maniac and/or witch directly...

I think one of the survivor-claimers is lying. I think we should lynch one of the survivor claimers for several reasons:
A) If we lynch a survivor claimer, we are guaranteed to AT LEAST be lynching one person who isn't town-aligned (either a survivor or a liar)
B) If we lynch a survivor claimer and he is linked, then the Maniac cannot kill tonight
C) There is a chance the survivor claimer could be linked with the Witch or Maniac
I find Citrus incredibly suspicious at this moment.
why can't we ever discus other religions, instead of it always coming back to christianty/catholicism.
for instance, when the discussion was about homosexuality, no one mentions that islams dont accept homosexuality either!
I think the homosexuality thing was kinda more geared towards Abrahamic faiths in general. In practice, I don't actually think Islam is that far off. It is pretty unforgiving (*coughcough* Sharia law), but I can't really argue with things like the 5 pillars or the real (rather than radical) implications of Jihad.
Alright so, I am at L-3, just what I wanted :)
Dat reaction.
Actually, my reason for pushing a PoD lynch isn't because I think he's scum: it's because, if I was the maniac, I would link myself with PoD as a player that the town wouldn't want to lose. If we don't lynch a linked player today, the maniac will likely kill a linked pair tonight, so I figure we might as well try to take out the maniac in the process...

Well, for one thing, I'm not married. Also, I'm not Catholic: I'm Protestant. The way I've been taught, having children isn't an obligation. Most Christians do end up getting married, and most married Christians do end up having children, but I would attribute that more to wanting to build a legacy/pass on what you've learned than the church actually encouraging procreation.
reproduction is one of the main points of marriage in the church! Which is a reason why homosexual marriage isnt recognized in the church. Nuns and priests can't marry and thus is a reason they do not procreate.
Reproduction is a byproduct of marriage in the church and marriage is supported, but there is by no means a "have kids if you're a good Christian" mentality in the church.
REASON HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN IN CHRISTIANITY:
homosexuality is sodomy. all forms of sodomy are frowned upon because they dont lead to procreation. christianity started as and still is a cult, a virus that needs carriers to spread it and die for it
Matthew 19:12
"For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let the one who is able to receive this receive it.”
Reproduction is not the concern of the religion, and to supplement the verse above (which favors remaining unmarried which, in Christianity, means no procreation), here are a couple of things to consider:
A) If reproduction was a major concern of the religion, then why are there nuns and celibate priests (which is referring to Catholic tradition which, although I attacked Catholicism in an earlier post, is still relevant for discussing the general goals of Christianity and how they are reached)?
B) Why is polygamy condemned in the early church?

On Catholicism: my main objection to Catholicism also lies with the sacraments, but not baptism/communion/etc but things like penance or anything which suggests that you can be "saved by works." I don't believe that going to mass, making donations to the church, and observing the sacraments is enough to be saved.
On Islam: the history of the Abrahamic religions has been bloody overall and I've learned to look beyond the "Islam is violent" argument: sure, Muslims have fought their battles, but Israel also slaughtered hundreds of thousands while conquering the Promised Land and Christianity doesn't exactly have a peaceful history either. As for the Bible talking about killing people, I really don't think that the Old Testament commands and procedures where death is a punishment are applicable due to the whole Old/New covenant thing. Although Jesus brought "not peace, but a sword", he was pretty opposed to actually killing people as demonstrated in the adulteress story.
On homosexuality: I'm not God so I can't know for sure, but the way I interpret the Bible is that homosexuality is not a sin, but homosexual acts are. If you want to look at it from a different perspective than just "sodomy and other homosexual acts are bad", then I would look to the Christian definition of marriage as between a man and a woman. If a Christian believes that marriage is between a man and a woman and sexual acts are reserved for marriage, then homosexual acts are just instantly off the table. Anyone who says persecuting and/or killing homosexuals just because they are is just wrong, but the Bible does mention eunuchs who are so from birth and should not marry...

Games have achievements, some of which are good and some of which are bad. I was playing the SWTOR MMO today (yes, people do still play that) and I got an achievement for dying 10 times in a PvP Warzone: not an achievement that you'd necessarily want to earn under normal circumstances, but an achievement nonetheless. With regards to the Marathon achievement, you may not have loved how the game went but clearly the majority of players did, so I'm just gonna have to go with the "bringing the greatest good to the greatest number" logic.

Christian. I grew up in a very conservative town with fairly liberal parents and gained exposure to Christianity without really being forced into it. Through high school and the beginning of college I really began to grapple with the issue, after which I truly became a Christian.
Although I firmly believe in my faith, I will agree with other comments in this thread about hypocrisy and "idiots" in any major world religion. I would contend that the main issues in the world to which people attribute "religion" as a cause are actually caused by people misunderstanding, warping, or blindly accepting religious doctrines that they don't really know or believe in.

I apologize for the extended leave of absence, but I have returned (just in time for M-FM XX :D). I will need to reacquaint myself with the setup and figure out what I wanted to change, but I'm adding it to the queue now.
Uniting pieces by killing/hammering someone with a piece?
Also question - it said ganon can only die by master sword. Does this mean he is immune to lynches (unless master sword holder hammers)? I like the uniting idea though except it makes it harder for serial killer - link kills ganon and game theoretically ends right there.
I like the mechanic: it will be added shortly. As for Ganondorf, my original idea was that, as Ganondorf, he could be lynched but he would not be killed (he would become Ganon), and that he could not be lynched as Ganon. As for the Serial Killer, having that condition wouldn't make sense from a lore standpoint (since the power of the Triforce would make the Serial Killer irrelevant, as you could just wish for ubiquitous peace or something of that nature) but it would make the game more playable so I will consider it.
I'm going to add these things in addition to investigation pairings later today

Hmm.... you have a point. I could always make it so that the game proceeds normally, but ANY faction that unites all 3 pieces of the Triforce at any point in the game (on one person) immediately wins.
Navi added to Link's rolecard

it is not zelda unless you have that character in there
i have to think of the ohter notable characters as well, i think if yuo have it a nabooro then it makes more sense, but then i feel like it conflicts with zelda/link in that sense...
i will think of more characters that can be used.
i would also add in that the change being publicly announce might be bad becasue then someone can annound "hey i attacked X, he must be ganon now"
like i said when i get more time to sit down and read it more thoughly i will have questions and tweaks for it
inb4 removes Gerudo and adds Navi as a Jester >:-D
Yeah, I will remove the public announcement: that would be too easy...

I was thinking of putting Skull Kid in there, but I later decided that I wanted to keep this as OoT as possible (on that note, please disregard the "New Poe" thing: I had remembered an enemy that could invert your controls, but I later realized it was just the Poe from WW: I needed it though so I kept it). I was basing the Gerudo alignment on Nabooro and her dislike of Ganondorf, but I could change to Skull Kid if needed.
I couldn't think of RP names or elements to go along with most of the Hylian roles, so I just left them for now: I figure that I'll add them in later if I can come up with some.
I just realized: I forgot investigation pairings. Those will be added shortly.

This is my first setup. I think people probably figured that, if I ever hosted a S-FM, this would be the theme, but here it finally is :D It's still definitely a work in progress, and I'm looking to make the setup more balanced and playable (also, please let me know if I'm missing anything).
[I]If you would seek the sacred triangle, listen well... The resting place of the sacred triangle, the Sacred Realm, is a mirror that reflects what is in the heart... the heart of one who enters it... If an evil heart, the Realm will become full of evil; if pure, the Realm will become a paradise. The Triforce...the sacred triangle... it is a balance that weighs the three forces: Power, Wisdom and Courage. If the heart of the one who holds the sacred triangle has all three forces in balance, that one will gain the True Force to govern all. But, if that one's heart is not in balance, the Triforce will separate into three parts: Power, Wisdom and Courage. Only one part will remain for the one who touched the Triforce...the part representing the force that one most believes in. If that one seeks the True Force, that one must acquire the two lost parts. Never picked up on it, sorry lol :P I was operating under the assumption that ypmagic was my reaper. For the most part, I didn't know alignments at all until the final day (RLVG being the exception, as he posted about wanting to lynch Yellows most on day 1).
I love a lurk fest. Just to spell it out barney style- If we do not kill a yellow then yellow wins. I have pointed out their reaper as well as their Killer Agent. I wanted to kill the reaper and let the agent live for me to push a lynch on tomorrow because it gives red a chance for the win. With this situation there is still a chance but its a snowballs chance in hell. Everyone needs to get behind this lynch or just hand the game to yellow in witch case it would be more efficient to '-suicide' and save everyone some time.
I believe we should get the Killer Agent first and then lynch the Reaper (eliminate the KPN first)

I healed Slaol because he was either the Blacksmith or the Drug Dealer (bad choice I guess): tonight, I will go Escort because I don't think Doctor is useful when there is likely a perfect-kill mafioso out there.

For the record, I was away and came back home to find that my roommate had managed to somehow take down the internet for the entire network: I have spent the last few hours troubleshooting it T.T

I personally think that limited registration based on email will be desirable: this way, you could also have people contact you first and specifically whitelist their email (good for getting to know your testers and all).
