I use the aforementioned tactic sometimes as well. LazyTitan used to hack under the name "John Titor" and reveal the names of all Triad/Mafia roles. He would always -prefer a town role and start the game off by typing,

"Hello. I am John Titor. I come from the future. I have been sent to prevent a great disaster. # GODFATHER # BEGUILER # KIDNAPPER".

Most players are familiar with this hacking and recognize that the reveals are probably correct. When the scum realizes that "John Titor" isn't really a hacker, they will usually kill "John Titor" to further arouse suspicion or use Framer/Blackmailer/other methods to shift the game further in their direction.

This, in my opinion, is a legitimate tactic to draw attention and lead Mafia/Triad members to an alerted veteran. I've won countless games as Vet just by spamming "LOL" Day 1 or by claiming to be John Titor.

As much of a pain Agave usually is to play with, I don't think this deserves to be called "Intentional Gamethrowing".

EDIT: Never mind. Just watched the replay, and he continued insisting that 9 was Beguiler. That's an intentional gamethrow, but what he did to attract attention Day 1 as Veteran was not. I do think the punishment is deserved considering he trolls in every game and usually ends up making whatever team he's on lose due to poor play, and I usually leave the lobby when I see him in it anyhow.

The fact that she's a woman should NOT affect her legitimacy and overall qualification as a candidate. You implied that the fact she's a [I]female[/I] senator from NY makes her a more electable candidate than someone who's not a woman.

Voting for someone because of their gender isn't "feminism" - it's discrimination, and people should never settle on a candidate solely because of their gender.

Also, her academic qualifications and contributions are matched, if not surpassed by most other candidates. Sanders went to UChicago, Trump went to UPenn, Cruz went to Harvard, Fiorina went to MIT... the list goes on.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't vote for Hillary just because you think it's "feminism". Open your mind and consider other potential candidates, even if they're not women. The United States will likely have a female president in the future, so don't rush. Make your decision without taking gender into account.

What are the mods going to do about the hacking that's becoming more and more widespread within the game? Is there a way to IP ban this guy instead of just constantly finding and banning new accounts?

This shit just happened to me. Made the game extremely confusing to play as we couldn't tell who was saying what and logs were hard to read.

Right, I fully understand that. Most Doctors ARE paying very close attention to the chat and reading + analyzing as the game progresses. However, the same problem occurs. It's a "boring" role to most, and the same problems that I noted from my original post still apply.

In today's game, people will thoroughly scrutinize you whenever you announce, "I have a lead".

Heck, saying something like, "I have a hunch!" will often get you lynched, and people who start voting up someone they believe is guilty will usually get voted up instead.

Imagine yourself as the Doctor in this scenario. You've been analyzing chat logs, noting whispers, and quietly putting leads in your last will. Then, when you finally think you have one of the Mafia members, you announce it to the public and you get asked, "What's your role?"

Almost no one will follow a lead nowadays unless it comes from someone claiming to be a Sheriff/Investigator. Leads from a Doctor are looked down upon and often ignored, and if you really do find and announce scum to the town, you'll likely get silenced/killed/doused/whatever by the person or people you suggested to lynch. Hell, if you find a Town member on accident, the Mafia will kill you anyways and then the Town will lynch the person you suggested because they're the most likely to have killed you.

Again, I feel the way the game is nowadays the Doctor needs some kind of power to prove credibility or make themselves an active force in the game.

I've been thinking - is there any way to give more power to roles like the Doctor? Any way to prove, for example, that you're not something like an Arsonist or Witch Doctor? At the very least, we should implement something that reduces the amount of leavers and trolls.

For example, the person being attacked should receive a notifcation like, "You were attacked and left for dead, but ______ nursed you back to health!"

This change would add an additional incentive for doctors to target people who they think will be attacked and would make doctors more cautious while choosing a person to heal (in the event that someone they heal is a member of the Maf/Triad, revealing their identity to them)

It would also make confirming themselves a lot easier in the event that the person they heal is a member of the Town (again, incentives encourage smart play).
