►►Re: Tragedy Looper #3 Tutorial Game (First Steps)◄◄

We do know we have to protect the Rich man's daughter, and mostly from intrigue tokens, we also probably need to keep those tokens away from the city, so what are the best actions now ? Forbid intrigue on the Rich man's daughter ?

I'd say it's time we try to use more goodwill abilities, such as the Police Officier's one, what do you think about this ? @Grommor @Whad

We already know the Office Worker is Conspiracy Theorist, are you sure the Class Rep is 100% brain ?

We have to look out for the mastermind's +2 intrigue ability though, as well as the brain's +1 intrigue, they could enable the faraway murder, given this is the last day, Trine is gonna do everything for it to happen.

Once again, we'll have to forbid intrigue on the city, and getting the office worker's role is still worth it, imo, we never know what might happen, as for our third action, maybe a -1 paranoia, although that wouldn't change anything so i don't really know.

As of right now, no character can have 2 intrigue tokens, so a faraway murder won't take place, so as long as we protect the city, i can't see how we can lose.

@Whad , at this point, the safest action would be to forbid intrigue on all three City, Henchman and Office Worker, as we know the last incident triggers with intrigue tokens as opposed to paranoia tokens.

The brain might still be able to place some of them, but looking at what happened so far, the brain might be the Police Officer.

Ok, after argiung a bit with Grommor, we decided to try to get the Office worker's role by using his goodwill action.

Sorry for not doing as you asked Whad, but this gives us more infos all things considered, if he refuses the goodwill action, then we know he's either killer, brain, cultist or curmudgeon.

If he's sk as you suggested Whad, it also gets revealed that way, using his goodwill action.

Again, sorry for not waiting for you Whad, but time zones make it hard to get a proper discussion, and we'd all like for this game to move on.

So, Grommor is in favor of a horizontal movement on the henchman, while Whad thinks we should use it on the office worker.

What's your end decision guys ?

I'd say it's time someone uses a -1 paranoia on the class rep.

Goodwill allows us to access additional character actions
Paranoia (if maxed) makes characters trigger incidents (so lowering paranoia -> preventing incidents)
Intrigue will lead to one of our lose conditions for "A place to protect" or "light of the avenger"

I think we should use the first few loops to gather as much info as possible. That means trying to trigger incidents, etc. I would rather not use -1 paranoia to see what characters the mastermind tries to add paranoia to in order to trigger events. However since many of our lose conditions rely on intrigue, I think we should use that heavily so we can get to farther Days in each loop.

    I'm now in favor of
    Movement Vertical on the Henchman
Movement Vertical on the Girl Student
    Forbid Intrigue on the City
    I can get behind that.

For the third action, I'm proposing either:
+2 Goodwill on the Girl Student
(this will let us access the ability to remove paranoia on another character)

    or
    +2 Goodwill on the Doctor
(this will also let us access the ability to remove paranoia on another character)

I'm proposing this since today's incident requires the culprit to have max paranoia. Thoughts?
I agree with those movements, but what about putting goodwill tokens on the class rep ?

I know the goodwill tokens will probably get moved away from the character we choose to put them on, but that would be an argument to not put any for today, and instead use a -1 paranoia or a forbid intrigue, what do you think about this ?

Don't forget Trine also said playing intrigue on a location could also be bluff, so let's not forbid intrigue too fast, i agree with your Henman and Girl Student moves, as for the goodwill action, i'm in favor of going for the Class Rep, his action only costs us goodwill tokens and seems very useful.
