    Here's one I've been working on:

    Mason Leader
    Mason
    Sheriff
    Coroner
    Mayor (Retains votes in cult)
    Town Prot (Doc/BG only)
    Town Kill (Vig/Jail only)
    Town Random
    Town Random
    Town Random
    Neut Killing (No Immunity)
    Neut Random
    Neut Random
    Cultist
    Witch Doctor

    The only people who get immunity are survivors and executioners. Everyone else has to fend for themselves. Additionally, Sheriff can only detect cult, Invest is banned completely, Mason cannot be randomed, and there is a very low chance for a doc/bg/citizen to appear from a random slot. Doc/BG can protect against cult conversions, so as a tradeoff, cultists get to convert every night.

    With custom games beginning to show up on that game, I think it is about time to create a Mafia equivalent for Dota 2 custom games.

    - You can have at least 20 players in the same lobby now (I don't know the maximum).
    - As the SC2 population is beginning to die off in general, Dota 2 is slowly growing.

    I think now would be the best time to take advantage of this.

    Abilities:

    Special Attributes:
    - Does not work on Mafia or Triad.

    Options:

    - Limited to 2 conversions Y/N.
    - Target knows who you are Y/N.

    Notes:
    - You do not know other politicians.
    - If none of the "limited to X conversions" options are marked, you will have infinite conversions.
    - You will know who exactly you tried to convert, even if your target is swapped.
    - You will know whether or not your conversion is successful.
    - Be careful: your power works on Town roles as well.

    Scenario in question.

    Bodyguard defends Mass Murderer.
    Mass Murderer visits Bodyguard.

    Result: Bodyguard dies to Mass Murderer
    Expected Result: No deaths occur.
    Actually it doesnt matter who the MM visits, as long as it isn't himself.

    Once again, Arsonist is in a shitty pairing. Jester? Really? The moment an investigator/consigliere finds the arsonist, he is fucked. The invest will just out the arsonist out to the entire town and then a jailor/vig will just jail/shoot the arson/jester and buttsecks them.

    No town killing? Just lynch them. If worst come to worst, you may lose a doctor due to a jester suicide.

    I think that arsonist should actually be paired with coroner instead while increasing the chances of coroner to spawn because they both use oil, coroner uses it to detect clues and arsonist uses it to burn people.

    "Your target owns lots of embalming oil, therefore leading you to believe they are either a Coroner or an Arsonist."

    Jester should be paired with Citizen, Crier, and anyone detection immune. Survivor and Amnesiac should be their own pairing.

    Sometimes, it sucks when a cultist is known and another isn't, and the one who is known is sent to convert while the other who is hidden doesn't, therefore, the known cultist gets killed and there would be no conversion.

    There should be a command that chooses which cultist is sent to convert. Something like "-send #" or something.

    I feel like WD can be an effective role but really shitty when there's no cultists remaining. This is because WD's conversion relies on luck rather than just point-and-click, which means WD's conversion is more unreliable, which means WD has a higher chance of losing the game. I suggest there be an option where the WD becomes a Cultist when alone.

    Most of them are fine. However, some of them I have criticisms on.

    1. Lookout/Arsonist: Once again, the Arsonist is in a shit pairing. Everyone should know how hard it is to fake a Lookout (unless you're an Agent). As such, once the Arsonist is detected by the Investigator, it's game over for him.

    2. Jester: Why is he paired with Mayor, Mason Leader, and GF? Everyone ALWAYS makes the GF detection immune, therefore, it's very very very easy to confirm a Jester once an investigator tracks them. Beforehand, investigators often mistook jesters for godfathers, but now, the only way a jester can get lynched is if he acts like a retard and never gets checked.

    3. Survivor/Amnesiac: Once again, they are in a shit position because they can possibly be paired with GF and Framer. And besides, even if neither are detection immune, town will just kill them off anyways.

    4. Framer: Now, they can roflstomp all over sheriffs, but if an investigator checks them, then they are screwed. This is because I don't believe Framers can frame players as framers.

    5. Coroner: It literally has no pairing. No non-unique town role should be this easy to confirm.

    Suggestions:
    1. Pair Survivors and Amnesiacs seperately. They're already mostly anti-town as it is, make them loners again.

    2. Bring back the cit/sin alignment. It always consists of Citizens and Jesters, but also includes roles that can be immune to detection.

    3. Coroner should be paired with Arsonist because Coroners are much easier to fake. It also makes sense because both roles use oil, Coroner use it to determine deaths, and Arsonist uses it to burn people down.

    4. Lookout should actually be placed with Detective and Agent because those three combined basically the watchers.

    5. Spy should go with Framer because Framer needs a pairing in the event an investigator checks them.

    I'd rather completely prevent a kill rather than find a block-immune target who could be a veteran, amnesiac, or another escort. Which is why I don't make GF role-block immune, but I still let escorts detect block-immune targets.

    I disagree here. As a mafia role it'd be too powerful. Mafia would be invulnerable, and investigative roles will never detect them. Besides, Disruptor NEVER blocks his main target; he won't die if he targets a Serial Killer. On the other hand, if a Serial Killer visits his target...

    It's slightly off-topic, but I feel like Escorts are also shitty right now because everyone always has a save where GF has role-block immunity. I think it's a bad idea for GF to have roleblock immunity because it doesn't punish the mafia. Mafia is already the second-strongest faction in the game. And even if Escorts can detect block-immune targets, they can't distinguish between a GF, Vet, or Amne.

    Back to my main point, this role would be better if GFs weren't so powerful to begin with. But MM won't get priority. Instead, an MM can kill a Disruptor if the Disruptor targets the MM (similar to the BG where if the BG targets an MM when the MM attempts a spree, the BG is slain).

    No abilities. Granted a target at the start. Wins if target survives to the end, no matter who else is left standing.

    Town Utility: A town category with unique support abilities that become more powerful later on.

    You're making absolutely no sense with this.

    WIFOM is not what this game needs, it needs to go back to the basics, of mafia kills 1 person at night, and town tries to figure out who, not town is handed victory because they have the most OP roles in existance and all they have to do is point and click. there should always be 1 death prevention role, MAX.

    its standard to have at least 1 town random, and at least 1 town prot, and 1 doctor included guaranteed. that leaves up to 3 potential doctors in any game of 15 players? thats way too op.

    what im asking for 1 mafia role member to appear sometimes in some games, and ignore the doctor? what makes this any different then a consort just sitting on top of the doctor all game?
    So in short you want a guessing game where any troll can easily imitate sheriff and mislead the town, either because they're mafia or they just want to be a douchebag and ruin games?

    First, a Consort and a GF count as two people and a consort can only block one doctor at a time when a second doctor could spawn. Your "hitman" renders ALL doctors completely useless.

    For the 3 potential doctors, you didn't even factor in Neutral Killings, Witches, or Cultists. Factor those in and you will see that 3 doctors isn't alot. Not to mention it is really hard to truly prove that your a real doctor. (I once played a game where I was sk and there were 5 doctors and 1 amnesiac who turned doctor. I still won.)

    As stated before, you also fuck over neutral killings, making them the worst roles in the game. You also fuck over citizens and survivors because they become useless and all they can really do is die. It's not like Arsonist because Arsonists have to manually prime to kill and they have to save one night to detonate. Not to mention Arsonists are generally without an ally the entire game.

    Also, the chances to spawn 3 doctors is rare. Usually at most, you will only get 2 doctors, and they 90% of the time they won't trust each other unless you're playing a rigged save.

    The Mafia is the best scum faction in the game because of the versatile tools they might have as well as good voting power.

    ive lived through that game, we killed 2 town in 8 nights, lost our GF night one, sk got called out day 2 to the sheriff. game was over by day 9 with only 3 dead bg's, and the rest were evil/maf.

    town doesnt even have to try with that set up, bodyguards would take care of everything in that situation. whats the mafia counter for bodyguard? consort? ok, theres 2 more to take that ones place.
    That is usually resulted from a rare chance, or the host is a moron. You didn't even factor in neutral killing/evil roles. Factor those in and you will realize that town isn't as powerful as you think.

    The Mafia is probably the best faction in the game because they have good voting power as well as versatile tools to help them win, plus the fact they have each other confirmed and can coordinate at night.

    because you know its impossible and will never try it because its a waste of ur time, so all we can conclude is that you think this "hitman" role is bad because it can kill bypass the doctor heal and can actually kill a neutral killer.

    just an fyi, maf can kill neutral killer in ANY OTHER mafia game just fine no problems.
    That IS bad. It's essentially making one of the best protective roles useless as well as removing all kinds of wifom for Mafia and also makes investigative roles and mayor useless as well.

    - Want to reveal as mayor? Good luck, you're dead tomorrow.
    - Neutral Killers become the worst roles in the game. They can just get obliterated.
    - Citizens become completely useless.
    - Survivors become terrible, even worse than Amnesiacs.

    If you were talking about my Legend, that was a joke role which shouldn't be taken seriously.

    Mafia needs more support roles. Why have another killing when GF and Mafioso already do the job? This role just fucks everyone over.
    - Oh, is Sheriff being protected by a known Doctor? No problem! Just kick his ass. Ignore the doctor all game.
    - What's that? An Arsonist about to burn? No problem just kill him too!

    Pretty much makes doctors and neutral killers useless and also makes investigative roles useless as well because as soon as they reveal, they dead. Guaranteed, unless there's a BG.

    Escort. She's pretty much the slut that no one likes because they perceive her as dirty, manipulative, and only distracts the town from their duties, but when she sleeps with the mafia killers, it helps protect the town. In short, she sleeps with people for good reasons.

    There was one game I was Amnesiac, a jester got lynched day 1. Then I became a Jester.

    There was one town (mayor), one mafia, and me. I claimed survivor. The Mayor immediately thought I was the mafia so he lyched me. Then gf killed mayor and gf suicided due to jester.

    Jester wins.

    How do roleblocking work? Does it happen simultaneously, or does it happen in a logical fashion?

    Example (No one is block immune):

    Escort A > Escort B > Escort C > Escort D > Doctor E. (What will happen to Doctor E?)

    - If it happens in a logical order, escort A would block escort B, preventing escort B from blocking escort C, so escort C would block escort D, preventing escort D from blocking doctor E, so Doctor E would heal his target.

    - It if happens simultaneously, everyone would be rolebocked except escort A.

    Not really. Arson has roughly the same douse time as kill time for an SK, plus the Arson needs one more night to detonate. In an ideal situation, an Arson would douse all the right people, but in gameplay, his targets may usually die.

    Unless an SK hits all the wrong people he will have a better kill potential than an Arson.

    Speaking of which, the best way to test this role is to place a town-arson in forum mafia and see how he would do.

    I just feel like it's a much more forgiving role than a vigilante. If you prime the wrong people, you can choose never to detonate, although that could make you useless almost the entire game.

    Where if you kill the wrong people as a vigilante, people will call you a "stupid fucking vig" when the game is over and possibly report you for gamethrowing.
